He should have been able to handle it, he has a form space time jutsu which Minato has as well and he managed to save Kakashi from 20 or so jonnins and finish them off. Beast kage handled 10,000(?) ninja's for 3 days and nights. The 2nd had a pathetic death.

He didn't have a space time jutsu like minato's. Well, In minato's case he mastered the flying thunder god techique so it's not a big deal if he kills 20+ jonnins. But I still do believed that Tobirama got trolled.

I'll give him a little more credit then. But the second should be above that he was second in command to Hashirama. Gin and Kin are good but Dauri who's a jonnin(Kage level?) handled them, the remaining 18 wouldn't be on Dauri/Kakashi's level like people are making it out to be. Asuma is an elitle jonnin and was easily killed by Hidan.

Hidan was just an example because Asuma was the elite ninja I could think off. But like most I expected a little more from the 2nd's death, I wont be giving it credit when it's not deserved.

Wow. o.o Tobirama is really underrated. Besides the 2 brothers who had the sages weapons, we don't know how strong the other 18 ninja were. Considering they were elite they were probably the best in their village. And all Elite Jounin are on different levels, so we don't know what level the other 18 were on. We can't just compare them to other Elite Jounins.

Its not in question whether he could handle them or not as he died fighting them meaning he couldn't, they were strong, only people around Kakashi and Yamato's level(skilled Jonin) can take down a kage level ninja when they are 20 in number, Chunin-level ninja will die easily. I don't think Kin Gin bros were there as there is only one recorded confrontation between Tobirama and those siblings and he survived. But with a Space Time Ninjutsu and Edo Tensei, I don't see why he had to die since he can fight them for a while then teleport home. We'll never know.

Depends how strong they are even 20 jounin level ninja would probably kill 99.9% of Narutos ninjas with the exception of Nagato,Madara and the 3rd Raikage.Possibly Tobi depending on what rinnegan techniques he has with those edos he could though

they couldve easily killed the 20 ninja but the point wasnt to kill them, he sacrificed himself so that the others could complete the mission
