Minato was dead...hiruzen was alive when that was said....

Minato did surpass him because of old age though.. which is why he passed on the title.....as strongest ninja in konoha....Then after minato died, he was once again the village strongest and took it back

Prime hiruzen however > them all..

How can you determine someone at his prime? By age or by mastery of justsus?

Now, if he was on his prime, what will change on the databook? Only his strength, speed, and stamina. Correct? Not much has change is it? Even if we give 4 on strength, speed, and stamina, the question still remains as to how he can counter Minato's tech. You said the he knows only existing Konoha jutsu's so it means that he doesn't know about Minato's jutsu because Minato created it and besides how the hell can he used techniques outside his nature affinity?

What jutsu listed on Hiruzen that can counter Minato's tech. We will debate only based on what we know. Here, I have given their abilities so we can compare. If you still insists on the term"GOD OF SHINOBI"S" that he has mastered all jutsus, then you are just fooling yourself because he only has 2 elements. We can't just speculate!

How about taking into consideration Jiraiya saying that Minato was very knowledgeable of the ninja world and he is one of a time genius. His abilities were so far advanced that even the Fourth Raikage thought that no one would be able to surpass him.

If Minato throws the kunai into the air then teleport Hiruzen to that kunai, what will Hiruzen do? He can teleport himself and Hiruzen into that kunai and slit his throat..

68-year old hiruzen would be trashed badly. prime hiruzen was said to have great speed, strength and stamina, probably superior to what other characters have shown us so far. incidentally, those are the attributes which he has lacking in the databook, everything else is maxed out. we don't have enough info on how able he was, but i think it would be a hell of a battle between the two strongest kage

(imo hashirama has been a bit overrated ever since edo madara pulled out the meteor, i really much doubt ems madara was anywhere near as powerful, we were shown so little of his ems and he had to pull out susanoo pretty much in the first minute like sasuke does when he's overwhelmed. and when he was pulled out, he went to rinnegan not more ems jutsu...anyway there's very little to seperate the 4 hokage imo.)

Then what? You call that a counter? Minato's intention is to scatter the kunai. By deflecting it, you are also scattering it to an area. Now, once deflected, Hiruzen's area becomes smaller because there are places that have kunais. If you're Minato and you can teleport something like the kyuubi, what will you do if there are lots of marked kunais scattered in the area?

I know your not an idiot and you know what I mean. Is there a way Hiruzen can escape teleportation? Teleportation is instantaneous! No time involved. Hiruzen will be transferred from his location to those kunais without traversing the physical space between them. It means that he can't react to it.

Before he knows what type of technique he'll be using to counter FTG, it was processed to his mind then executed by his body. Time is involved here. In other words, no chance that he'll defeat Minato because he can't counter teleportation. If Minato was able to teleport the kyuubi which is a lot bigger than him then Minato can do that to him multiple times.

I disagree. He didn't technically defeat Tobi, I believe Tobi would've eventually won but of course Minato left and didn't finish the fight. Raikage, well he doesn't seem that smart but I don't think he has to be seeing how it is probably rare that he ever takes any type of damage. Amateratsu was probably the first attack that actually has been through his lightening armor in awhile and it still didn't phase him that much. I wouldn't even say that Minato could defeat Raikage, I don't see no way for him to cause significant damage to him and all Raikage has to do his touch him once and its over. FTG isn't all that great either, tobi's and the 2nd Hokage's space/time is far more advanced
