the mask that was destroyed was water lol
the reason kakazu didn't use his iron skin anymore is because he didn't need it against kakashi and company. They didn't use any jutsu it was basically him and kakashi with taijutsu

If the heart that Kakashi destroyed wasn't his Earth heart then why did he deactivate his Iron Skin at all? Why didn't he use his Iron Skin when he kicked Kakashi 10 seconds after Kakashi used his Chidori on him? Why didn't he use it against Naruto?
Iron Skin, aside from dealing with ninjutsu attacks, is especially meant for taijutsu.
It makes his skin impervious to physical damage.

Why didn't he use his iron skin for kakashi? why would he? that 10 sec later attack was a surprise attack and during the fight he had 3 element black things attacking everyone the only time kakashi got close is when hidan stap himself and took out kakazu heart
other than that kakazu was dominating that match kakashi never got close

I want to say Kakuzu, His knowlegde of the battle out does hers big time. He probably smarter than her since he has been around so long.
After that its just Ninjutsu master vs Ninjutsu master. If Kakuzu stays in an open area Then Boil Release is no good. And I can see Him evading Lava for a little

His Iron Skin probably wouldn't have helped him if he got hit. Regardless, it's a much better bet to retreat to his Iron Skin and detach his 2 masks to fight at long range than to stay in his exposed flesh form.

If you're so adamant in your claim that he still had Earth element, then why didn't he use it? At least tell me that. If he had Earth element then he could have easily used the ground to his advantage. It's proven that Earth users can create walls and attacks using the ground. He could also have hindered Kakashi's movements instead of having Kakashi constantly running around and avoiding his attacks.
Exactly. It was a surprise attack. And it would have been stronger had he had his Iron Skin active. It makes no sense not to use it in this instance.
If he still had his Earth techniques then why didn't he retreat into his impenetrable Iron Skin when he saw Naruto's technique? He wouldn't have stayed in that form the way he did if he had a choice.

did you notice that all of his masks can only use one attack each? and then he combines the masks and combines the attacks
so its safe to say that every mask can only use one technique for each element
so his earth element has only one ability iron skin or whatever its called
the whole fight against kakashi he didn't have to use it. If you look back at the manga chapters there isn't one time against kakashi he had to use it, he was completely dominating till naruto and the other came.
Why didn't he use it against the rasen shuriken? idk maybe he thought it wouldn't do him any good if he got with it anyway
or maybe he thought he could dodge it and naruto tricked him with a shadow clone and he didn't have time to activate it

So now you're saying he, an Akatsuki member with the possibility to have all 5 elements, only has 5 techniques in his entire ninjutsu arsenal? You have got to be kidding me. Kishi wouldn't make a character so hyped up as to have 5 elements and then limit them by having only 1 technique of each. It's just not practical.
And you're still straying from the argument. That his first destroyed heart was Earth not Water. Nothing you're saying is making any advancements towards proving your claim.

Take a big long stare at Kakuzu's damn headband. What do you see? That's the headband for Takigakure. That's the Village of Waterfalls. Is it still "obvious" that his last element is Earth? If anything, his last element was Water. His destroyed mask was Earth.
