I prefer having 20 senseis that teach 1-2 members at a time then having 2 senseis teaching 20 members.

Your logic is uni-dimensional. From your point of view, senseis are either active and teach many students, or aren't and keep claiming they have enough student (which is probably true in most case).

Let me say this; you aren't the first to complain about the lack of sensei, and certainly won't be the last. But in the end, NB pulled through and after 3 years, members are still getting trained.

Even if we wanted to hire new senseis, it's not something that can be done on a whim. Senseis need to be dedicated and skilled.

Not only is the argument about senseis being inactive pointless, it's irrelevant to the solution. We can't start demoting senseis when we lack senseis.

Anyway, that was my two cent.
i certainly agree with your point of view and this is just a thought of mine feel so sad when i go to some Sensei's profile and saw stack of training request but they never replied yes or no(not all maybe some of the sensei) it's like that you send a letter to someone and this we really expecting their reply but it never come.

Well thats just a thought of mine.

To me, top 3 senseis are

  1. Gobi (Knows his responsibility and handles it well)
  2. Pervy (atleast posted a thread saying he will be unable to train people which I find very good)
  3. Crow (Hasn't trained me lol, but he at least can have a decent conversation with you and replies)

I'll share my two cents on this seeing as i'm a senpai and i have a very busy RL.

Yes, there aren't enough senseis for so many requests. But have you seen the latest applications on the sensei table? Not so many. And from those, only half (luckily) will pass. Being a sensei isn't easy. Even if you are a sensei you are still a member of the site and its RP. This means you still need to have fun, make your bios, ifhgt your friends, train yourself, etc etc etc.

I honestly think that sensei's and senpai's shouldn't take more than 5 students at a time. And that is sometimes too much. As a senpai i take 5 students and sometimes due to real life i can't train for 3 or 4 days. During that time i still log on...to see my vms, look around and such. Lets not forget that as much as i like training, its about 30% of all i like to do in the site.

And that list is a bit offensive and aggressive. I understand what you tried to do, but it is a bit too much. I try to reply to every VM someone sends me, even if all the requirements for applying and how many students i have are posted in my profile. Even when people don't read it and still ask, i reply. However, sometimes, i ignore them because...well....15 vms/pms in a day asking for training when you have in your profile that you are full at the moment and that you need people to get permission from your sensei....man, its not that hard to associate.

I think the problem was about 4 months (maybe more) were there weren't any sensei applications checked and tested. Hopefully with the new system, things will move forward at a different pace and we'll have a boost of senseis enough to help out.
