Minato soul was sealed but yet a remnant of it was in Narutos conscious. Kushina died but a part of her was also in Narutos mind.

If Minato can seal part of his conscious in Narutos mind than it's not impossible for Madara to have sealed his own into the body of another. Tobi has knowledge that nobody but Madara would have had. Fugaku would not have recalled accounts of sage of 6, history of the clan, kyuubi attack, Uchiha conspiracy and personal feelings towards the 1st.

Tobi said that he hate the 1st an respected him more than anyone. Who else but Madara would say that?

You have a point with the Uchiha curse and Uchiha are after power but it's a stretch to say Fugaku would have gone to the lengths of killing his clan. Fugakus proved the Uchiha curse by planning a civil war. That is evident but him staging to be Madara and killing the clan he worked hard to plan to gain respect is a big stretch.

Edit- it just came to me. Another example to prove 2 souls of the same person can exist is the fact that Half of Mu soul was sealed and the other half is standing besides edo Madara.

Its either Izuna or another madara who was grown from shodai's cells.

I dont think Izuna, the shodai cell thing is more probable cuz why would Izuna lie to Konan seconds before her death? Why wont the tsuchikage recognise Tobi's voice as not Madara? And why would Kabuto keep calling Tobi Madara if he knows its Izuna. I think Madara left his weaker clone Tobi to train Nagato on his rinnegan so that he can bring him back. How Nagato came in is beyond me though.

OBito was 14 during the Kuyubi attack ........... How can he ever be on Par with The 4th Hokage in Terms of Space/Time jutsu .

And how did he ever have info on such sophisticated seals , like Kushina's seal

ok the only way to say this is ture is go by facts and jutsu that we know are out there.

1) Madara DIED. ( how can they both be madara if madara is died.) WELL Muu was sealed and that didnt stop the other one. FACT.

2) Madara himself said he wanted nagato to use his revival jutsu on him. (which would make perfect sence if he knew he was dead... already)

3) By looking at Muu's jutsu we know that the split isnt as strong as the main body. (Madara himself time and time again said he was a form of his old self and wasnt as powerful because of the fight with the first. (in which he died)

4) He would be scared if Kabuto brought him back because the means kabuto has or knows where the real body is. and if Kabuto brings him back. Kabuto has control of madara's real body.


sooooo with this being typed i believe this is how it went.


Madara splits. he fights the first. draw. Madara wounds kill him. Tobi is still there. the real madara body is buried and tobi doesnt know. Tobi then goes to look for his body knowing that nagato could revive him. kabuto finds the body revives madara, now tobi cant revive himself and merge back. because of the contracting wills. (kabuto's and his)


Think about it. most logical thing ive seen on here so far. let me know what you think.

Minato did seal part of himself in naruto, but as we all saw he was not allowed to be summoned with IWR.

Why would Tobi be scared of the sixth coffin if it was himself inside it? Obviously Tobi is not Madara, but he needs everyone to believe he is for his plan...that's the whole reason he was scared.

Your muu example is invalid. His other half is PHYSICALLY sealed inside sand and covered in tags.

We saw him trying to remove the tags and free his other half but he could not. Sealing something inside the death god is a totally different type of seal like Titania sword. Your not even in this world anymore.

actually, it isn't my perspective. I just found it on some random site and thought I'd post it to see some comments.

There are weakness to all the theories for example

Obito : Died, wasnt old enough to fight the 4th
Itachi's dad: Itachi got training from Tobi, so he would have known that his dad. And why would he help itachi destroy the clan he was leading.
Izuna: Apparently died.
Maadara: His was just revived so he had to have been dead.
The sage's son: Too old, been close or have deep knowledge about Maadara
The sage himself: He would have the rinnegan

Tobi has to be old enough to have fought the 4th and to have been mizukage prevously. I think that rules out both obito and itachi's dead.
The fact that Tobi is trying to takeover the world, rules out the sage (good guy)

Were now left with the sage's son, Maadara and Izuna. I feel you could easily explain or fill in details to justify one of them being Tobi with Izuna being the easiest and Maadara being the hardest.

Lets give that a shot:

Izuna
Weakness: Maadara took his eyes and he died
Plausible explanation: Tobi lied. Izuna took Maadara's eyes, and he was the one who died not Izuna.
Counter argument: Maadara led the clan after Izuna supposed death
Plausible explanation: Genjustu to mask himself as Maadara. Plastic surgery

Motive for being Tobi: World domination , power



Sage son
Weakness: Lived hundred of years, been close to maadara/deep knowledge of maadara
Plausible explanation: Exteneded lifespan- Strong bloodline, reincarnation justu .Knowledge of maadara- masquered as one of the villagers, manipulated maadara, maadara's teacher or confidant
Counter argument: The inadequate explanation of how he knew maadara so well.
Plausibe explanation counter argument: Kishi could easily fill in the details
Motives: Daddy issues

Weakness: Apparently died, but somehow alive
Plausible explanation: A clone, A form of Izanagi
Counter argument: You have 1 soul, can't be dead and alive simultaneoulsy
Plausible explanation to argument: Honestly I can't come up with 1 that makes sense. I don't think is maadara




Conclusion: Izuna has the strongest case out of the 3 i analysed. I dont think its Obito, or itachi's dad or Shisui. I want to rule out Maadara as well but my gut tells me it still maadara. Logically I dont see how it makes sense its maadara unless Kishi makes some bs bleach style explanantion. For the sake of the story i'd like it to be the sage's son. It would add a different element to the story.

I tough the Sage was more legend than anything. PPL didn't really believe in him before Madara told his plans to the kages.

No senju was a descendant of the sage's younger son

in order to revive you need the soul (which is not sealed) and the DNA...
you cant revive/summon someone whose soul is in the real world/soul is sealed..

and the argumentation about soul splitting.. i dont know how it should work... and its VERY irrational

on zetsus speculation... if this is true then there are technically 1000 of mardaras.. which is not.. (why u should only create one if u can repeat and create as many op heroes as you can? -.-)
+ zetsu can transform into other ppls shape.. wouldnt it be a bit OP if you have 1000 zetsu transforming into naruto and having his full power? -.-

splitting souls seems to have been possible one example would be with the kyubi. minato split its soul in two sealing half with naruto or at least i think he might have not only with his chakra. but soul splitting seems like a possibilty in the series.
