How is itachi uchiha a genius

How is itachi a genius.
He made poor life decisions and he hasn't done anything that would mark him a true genius like let's say orochimaru and minato.
He hasnt created any jutsu. I give him points for unlocking susanoo
He wasn't the first to get ms. He actually is second to last.
And all his plans for sasukes future failed greatly. He created a monster and Put the shinobi world and konoha in jeopardy.
Why would a genius fill his little brothers life with hatred and force him to lean towards revenge.
To be honest he is no genius.
But he is one of the most blessed shinobi to ever live. He was born with unbelievable talent. And is a sharingan master. Just not a genius.

I did give him credit. And all that stuff he did in his youth is not genius. It's raw talent. Two different things. He spend over half of his life coming up with a plan that failed dramatically. He is one of the strongest shinobi in the series. But not a genius. Your a itachi fan so all your doing is looking at everything he's done and picked out the bad to make it seem all good when it isn't good.

But, that being said, I would say that the guy that created Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, and a Susanoo that had the Yata Mirror and the Sword of Totsuka was pretty freakin' genius, not a total genius. No one else other than Sasuke has ever been shown to use any of those jutsu and Sasuke never used any of them until Itachi gave them to him by a poke on the head. That's one h*ll of a transference of jutsu poke on the forehead!!! Still not genius??? You are totally right about his choices i.e. kill off his entire clan, mom, dad, and he left only his little bro. :flaw: No one really knows what would've happened if the Uchiha completed their coup d'état or if it would've started another Ninja War. But, we do know that his little brother has flipped and he just wants to kill everyone and everything. So, I would say Sharingan and tactician genius but definitely not in making choices that effect the future of what he truly cares about genius. So, yes and no.

lol yes i'm an Itachi fan xd The whole slaughtering of his clan was sad, but the elders took advantage of his calm nature, knowing he hated war and would do anything to prevent another. If he hadn't killed his clan, everyone but him would have died, including Sasuke. Itachi is a genius, but he's no Shikamaru meaning IQ wise. :lili: Talent can be seen as being a genius, pending how great of a talent and how it's being used. ex a child can b a genius at playing a piano pending on how well they play it and how young they are aka prodigy

I like the way you laid this out. I agree. On the battlefield he is a genius. But his poor life decision his what separates him from others like minato an orochimaru. Oro may have been weird but his decision and his plans for his won future were well planned out and true. And he became as strong as he was because of it. Minato too. All itachi did was cause pain and suffering. And killed his family.

um yea i would ask that question too, becuase yea i can see that he mastered his sharingan which is sorta genius but ambu at age 13, i mean if u really look at the anbu's other than kashi and him..all of them suck, and his dad was capt of the police force so he probly had somthing to do with that..the only reason why i would say he is a genius is because he stopped orochimaru (genius) , and he was undefeatable til death...but as i saw most people didnt want to really say, becuase they dont have a good answer other than "stfu" xD
