yeah i totally agree with u 100%. I really cant say anything more. u said it all. Up till now the only character who has never been defeated and has never lost a battle is Uchiha Itachi. He is the only character in the series who never "fought for hsi life". Making him the only undefeated character in the entire series. other than our friend SO6P lol. regardless minato did lose. Minato did infact "fight for his life". In the end he ended up dying and being defeated. U may say he had a plan! and he did it on purpose! but let me ask u this. Wouldnt he have preferred staying alive with kushina instead? and with naruto? so he really didnt get what he wanted out of that fight. Thus he was defeated. He had to kill himself to do what he needed to do. Its sad but true. He was great and all. But unbeatable is far from reality. His FTG is beatable. People always say susanoo can be beaten. But they say FTG cant. In reality somehow everything can be beaten. Itachi always says that every jutsu and every shinobi has a weak point. The weak points stated by the thread maker are extremely valid. all of them. even the "unbeatable" chibaku tensei was easily taken down once the weak point was established. its not always as easy but everything has that vital spot that can change everything. ok thanks for reading this guys. FTG is fast, extremely defensive and extremely offensive, a tech truly worthy of a Kage, its weakness is that seals must be placed unlike Madara's tech but very few can stop a shinobi from throwing kunai, thats why it seems so awesome. I agree that its not invincible. It is reminiscent of Pains gravitational abilities, it has a weakness than cannot be easily exploited.

Level 1
Teleportation to a stationary object in the form of either a kunai or marked seal

Level 2
Teleportation to a moving object that is either a travelling kunai or a marked opponent

However, there are two glaring issues:

Kunai can be blocked

(I know the picture shows shuriken but the point is still the same)
This is to:

1. Stop Minato from teleporting near you
2. Create a distance between you and Minato so as to severely limit his speed

Granted he won't throw the kunai

, but you can still thwart the path of the ones headed towards you. And stop them from landing behind you. This way you'd only need to be cautious of attacks originating in front of you

Ladies and gentlemen, we've defeated FTG (or at least created a sort of stalemate).

1. Minato can't harm you
2. Minato can't outpace you
3. Minato can't get near you

please, just stop with FTG = instant death
that isn't true, at least when it comes to jounin

Minato is overrated.

1. He can teleport to his thrown kunai faster than you can block it(FTG is the fastest tech known to shinobi) then catch the kunai he threw and throw the same kunai somewhere else closer to you. He can repeat this till he has closed the distance
2. Once the distance is closed he can attack with rasengan, if your defense is strong enough to withstand rasengan he can attack with two rasengan(one in each hand) and if your defense is strong enough to withstand two rasengan he teleports back to where he was at the beginning.
3. Any defense strong enough to withstand two rasengan is chakra tasking
(for example susanoo) so he can simply escape your attacks till your chakra runs out
4. As for disrupting the earth, like Sakura or Gaara he canthrow kunai to the air and as for disturbing the with wind techniques or lava or acid, he can teleport before you prepare anything of the sort, for Kisame's water bubble technique or other water techs, he can teleport it away with a time space barrier.
5. for those who fight from the sky he can close the distance as ive stated in number 1
6. engaging in taijutsu to disable him is the stupidest thing ive ever heard, Even A failed at a direct confrontation.
7. FTg requires no seals as seen when he fought Madara, the seal only needs to be near you not necessarily on you as seen when he teleported above Madara when the marked kunai was already behind Madara.
The only ppl he draws with are chakra monsters like bijuu or raikages and Hydification tech users he cant attack since he has no lightning, Minato doesnt lose. His technique isnt perfect but no technique can take advantage of its opening which is the placing of seals

Second, how many ppl are actually fast enough to react to his speed? And also, he didnt become hokage for nothing, I a chidori nagashi wouldnt stop him in his tracks. I bet a double rasenegan would destroy that chidori nagashi. FTG is one of the best techs in the series..Minato is not overrated. He was just that skilled. Why else would they have a "flee on sight" warning to all enemies on the battlefield, and why is world famous.

Wow. I'm pretty sure people already knew this lol. I don't think it's the fans that hype up FTG, it was the manga. I've read somewhere that During the third ninja war the opposing shinobi were told to retreat at the sight of minato. If you have a team of shinobi and eyre told to flee because of one man, that's pretty scary. He didn't make hokage because of FTG alone. He had above average awareness, intellect, fighting ability or tai jutsu what ever you wanna call it and his above average physical attributes.
