I dont know if you know that, but those words are meaningless becuase Itachi was good guy and didnt want to kill Jiraiya...:flaw:

Many people dont realize that Itachi can just take control over Ma or Pa via his Sharingan and make them to kill Jiraiya.

Ma and Pa are summonings of Jiraiya which is a Ninjutsu technique..if u take the summoning from jiraiya then better take out Mangekyo Sharingan from Itachi's arsenal!

MS doesn't =sage toads because of how damn long it takes for him to summon them. itachi's eyes change instantly, jiraiya has to sit there with his hands together for what seems like a half hour before they'll appear, and their big attack the frog song takes just as long for them to sync voices and use the genjutsu.

try to notice that he used the genjutsu to knock kakashi out, not the ninjutsu that would have killed all 3 of them in fire.

THEY don't know hes a good guy but HE did, thus fighting everyone without killing them even tho he'd have easily soloed kakashi/asuma/kurenai before guy even got there.

I'm amazed at how crazy people can get when they say Itachi will win or Jiraiya will win. Instead of posting more reasons to support my opinion I will ask some questions.

1.Do you think Itachi would have told Kisame the truth when he said Jiraiya was stronger?
2.How do you beat an invulnerable shield? (and sealing sword)
3.How good do you think Jiraiya is at Genjutsu?
he stated himself its his weakpoint thats why pain would never expect him to use it.
4.If he said that fighting a Sharingan user one on one, you should run away. Would he follow his own advice?
5.If Jiraiya did follow Itachis feet so he wouldn't look into his eyes like Gai. Do you think that he would be able to fight better?
6.If you are watching Itachis feet. What about his Shadow Clone?
7.If you were caught in Tsukuyomi, is that Game Over for Jiraiya?
Depends on how painful itachi makes it, he could have killed kakashi with it so probably could kill jiraiya
8.Would there be a way to overcome the sound genjutsu of Ma and Pa?
9.Wasn't Itachi a amazing taijutsu and ninjutsu user. Now he is a master of genjutsu too?
genjutsu was always what hes best at, hes excellent overall but noones better in genjutsu then itachi.
10.Wasn't Jiraiya a noob at genjutsu?
11.Wasn't Itachi really clever and Jiraiya a bit dopey?

I am not going to point out all the characters Itachi and Jiraiya could have beaten up. As I said in another post. Ninjas have a rock, paper scissor system. One can beat another but get ripped up by another weaker ninja.

Manda is some stray animal? No, that's summon more powerful than Gamabunta and Katsuyu combine, yet Sasuke had taken control over him with easy. Plus, Sharingan is powerful enough to tame f**king Kyuubi! I dont see any reason why those frogs would be immune to its power, not even smal hint.

I dont know about Jiraiya, but its a known fact that Sharingan can tame summons.

You would have to be pretty strong to take control. Unlike Shisui's Sharingan which can control anyone. I also think the sharingan has only the power to control the 9 tailed beast not control any summon.

He makes hand seals so fast and was able to do a grand fireball the first time. He was a genius. He can adapt well in battle and learns quickly.

sasuke took over manda with genjutsu using his sharingan to use him as a sheild from deidara's suicide bombing and manda is a top level summon, so its not a latent power of sharingan itself, but you can use strong enough genjutsu to take over summons

I've watched the old Naruto episodes and Itachi and Kisame even said Jiraiya could put a decent fight even against both of them. That time Jiraiya were bodyguarding naruto when Itachi and Kisame were suppose to take the nine tails. Jiraiya was also the 4th hokage sensei...

Itachi no question. I'm not even trying to get through some of these brain damaged people who think that things said in Episode 85 (I think) does count. Kishimoto probably hadn't even thought about Shippuuden where we first saw Sage Mode and taste of Itachi's true power.

Only chance for Jiraiya to take down Itachi is in Sage Mode which takes him a while to get in and I doubt Itachi would let him do that. Tsukuyomi kills you in a second if Itachi wants that and Tsukuyomi can't be canceled if you don't have Sharingan. Elements we have seen from Jiraiya are Fire and Earth (Not sure if he has water) Itachi has water and fire element. Kakashi who is very skilled with his Sharingan couldn't read Itachi's handseals. Jiraiya doesn't have anything to counter Amaterasu or Susano (and the latest Itachi doesn't probably even need to use) Jiraiya has a scroll that can seal Amaterasu but I'm sorry guys but the sealing doesn't happen in few seconds it took like 10 secs from Jiraiya to seal little amount of Amaterasu's flames.

"Jiraiya has more experience than Itachi" Itachi is an adult he isn't naive like Sasuke or Naruto. He doesn't lack experience he was an anbu at the age of thirteen he has captured Jincuurikies and sealed tailed beasts.

Being a Sannin doesn't mean shit. Do you people even know why Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru were named that? Hanzou named them Konoha's Sannins just because they didn't die in a fight against him nor they did win the fight. Pretty sad that a Frog Hermit, Slug Princess (best medic ninja in the world) and a genius who knew hundreds of Jutsus couldn't take down a guy who got owned by some random Samurai...

Jiraiya is strong but not powerful as Itachi.
