Drinking alchohol

I like drinking when i go out or I'm with friends. I have to admit that the taste of alcohol itself is not very good. The fact is it's fun to be drunk/buzzed. And i'm not talking about drunk as in puking-my-guts-out-and-not-being-able-to stand/walk-straight-type-of-drunk... but more the kind of buzzed feeling that makes you more sociable and say things you normally wouldn't.
Now before you say "I can have fun and be sociable without alcohol" ...trust me, I used to say that too and it may be true, but it's simply not the same.
So next time you try to find out what the attraction is, don't just look at the drunk idiots falling over each other, falling face down in their own puke.

most alcohol is an aquierd tast so most of it isn't gunna tast verry good unless you drink regularly wich most ppl probably dont till there in there 20's

well for me ihave drank mgd, budwiser/budlight, blue moon, chivas regal(liqueur), parrot bay rum, crown black, tequila(well i cant remember the name but it was the gold version of it), and a vodka(was like 8 or 9 and it was dark so idk what it was)

I'm such a wino. I love red wine. I'll have a glass two or three times a week (one glass only), sometimes less. As Kookie said, I like being tipsy but in control when I'm with my friends, and a glass of wine before bed is very relaxing, especially after a hot candle-lit bath. =P
I really didn't care about alcohol until I met my fiance, so I started drinking when I was...19/20. I only got wasted once, right after my 21st birthday party. I don't necessarily regret it because I can look back and clearly see where I should have stopped. I know my limits much better now. But I was also lucky enough to be surrounded by friends who took care of me. I never did get a hangover cause my fiance kept me awake long enough to get me pretty sober before I went to bed. I think puking up everything in my stomach helped a great deal with that. xD But yea, that one time was more than enough for me.
I've been there a few times for others when they were wasted and that was plenty to keep me from drinking beyond my limits. I really don't see how getting so wasted is fun or amusing. Honestly, it's quite friggin irritating.
But yea. I mainly drink wine or liquor, sometimes beer if I go somewhere like Buffalo Wild Wings.
I would also like to point out anytime we go to a party to drink, we always ge a ride home from a sober family member or, more often than not, we spend the night. And that was last year. Our friends and their 7 month old son live with us now.

I see no problem, i drink with friends. Its good fun and its a laugh, i dont see a problem with it and i dont find myself macho for doing it.

It's a way for people to get together. It's been a part of the culture for a very long time. Although, it is dangerous in big portions, there are people that think they it can solve problems for them, and get addicted to it - not to the alcohol itself, but to the forgetting of the problems around them. Don't drink, or drink when you and your friends get together, have a good time but don't make yourself look disgusting, by drinking too much, OR drink everyday, always, and think that it can save you, while it's destroying you. Your choice.
When you got a lot you'd want to forget about for just a second, let's say wifey bitching at you all day, children bitching at you all day, million dollar loan on the house, then you won't care about anything just they want to forget about everything. You won't understand this ti'll you become someone like them. But when a kid doing it, I would go straight to the parent and put them in jail for life, or whomerever is taking care of them.

I agree, I've tested it... And I must say my friend that it sucks.... I personally don't drink Alcohol because It's bad for my body and I love my body to mush to jack it up with some alcohol....

Lol, yeah I hear ya, then comes the beer belly after that.. And not to mention that terrible taste.. A taste almost exaclty as the horrible sour taste in ones mouth when you just wake up.. Makes me want to puke..
I'm a University student so that should give yous all an idea of how much I drink! haha During my first year at University I was going out probably every other day, cutting it back to the weekends and some weekdays now that i'm in my final year though. I do it because it makes me come out of my shell, I'm quite a shy person but after a couple of drinks I feel more confident. I have had a couple of drinks in that photo actually! haha, but yeah, its just a good way to relax and have fun with the guys! In fact, might phone up some of the boys now, this forum is making me want a drink! haha

There is a difference between beverages. A glass of good wine instead coca-cola in a meal is a better and healthier choice, but about vodka, whiskey and their family I have the same oppinion like you. About beer, is a time for it too, but even the 0.33 ml bottle is too much for me, i never drink more than 0.20 occasional.

I think Acquired taste = They drank it so much the taste buds that sense alcohol all died off so now they only taste the other flavors.
I have tried bud light lime and it was the nastiest shit I ever tasted. I really haven't wanted to try anything else after that, besides wine or fruit based stuff. Hopwever I don't want to spend the money to try new stuff so... yeah never get around to trying it.
Also alcohol is good for the body up to a point. That point is 3 standard aluminum cans of beer a week.

Do you seriously believe that? That it has that much to do with taste? Sure, it's an acquired taste that people eventually come to enjoy... but did you completely forget the fact that it's a drug? That it stimulates certain things, gets you high on euphoria. Dude, most people drink to get drunk. I like beer because I like the taste, but when I really get on the bottle (booze and so on) it's to get wasted... or at the very least get some sort of effect from the actual stimulants that are in alcohol.
I prefer smoking weed over alcohol anyway... don't have to consume all those liquids.

Remember though its a "family forum" don't drop the D word so much but other than that spot on brotha. My parents are alcoholics and i have been drinking since i was 14 (apple doesn't fall far from the tree) and i will tell you that taste never gets better but man does it feel good to be phaded. And who doesn't prefer the nice comforting feel of smoke over the corrosive poison that alcohol is, i always feel like a used dish rag after i drink.
I dont like people that drink and got drunk....its horrible and not good for the health....I will never drink but actually people are free to do what they want....but...if you start drinking you will want always more and more till you get drunk...so you see it isnt to good
