lets see how hard sasuke vs. deidara would be if deidara was dieing and could barely get out of bed at the start. healthy deidara giving it his all lost to sasuke, almost dead orochimaru almost took over sasuke's body but sharingan reversed it on him and got him sealed for awhile untill sasuke's chakra was too low to supress him.

To everyone: Deidara is being mostly underrated. Yes, i felt distance was an issue and i still do though i have seen the video. That was a one-off, that means it was probably a little exaggerated.....it happens in the anime. Also, in my opinion a full strength oro is strong but i made this thread specifically because deidara is the right kind of person to take out someone like orochimaru, so far either an occular jutsu such as kakashi's kamui, itachi's tsukyomi or a lightning attack is his only real vulnerability. In his fight against Gaara and his run in with the tsuchikage we see how fast he can fly, i don't think oro's neck extension can keep pace.
Also, what will oro do against C4, the tiny microbombs that destroy every living thing that inhales them by causing millions of tiny explosions on the molecular level? Show me any proof that oro has the lightning ability that sasuke did.

deidara has no chance bcos 1. he is too hasty in defeating his opponent 2.oro is very smart 3.deidara underestimates his opponents too quickly 3.his moves are totally predictable and very basic and one basic thing oro is beta cause he is a sannin and taught by the 3rd hokage and knows almost every jutsu ever written and deidara was just an apprentice 2 da tsuchikage so there is no slime chance of him winning.o! and by da way gaara was only defeatd cause he was young and naive oro is pretty old and can not be fooled so easily

Deidara would take this with easy. Orochimaru has no good long-range techniques to take him down, and hes helpless against Deidaras techniques - C3 or C4 means death to him. Not to mention, that while Oro may have greater experience, it is Deidara who has proven to be way better tactician. In short - Blondie stomps.

And exactly, I don't like to use the term overrated because they are very strong but they can be beaten.

Orochimaru wouldwin fair and square c'mon the dude has years of experience and more jutsus than Diedara can count.....but I'm not underestimating Diedara'potential 2 get a few hits in the battle

Yet Deidara is better tactician than him. Experience itself dont means much, Kakuzu had great experience and he was fooled like little baby twice.

Too bad he had never shown anything that would be able to hit flying Deidara. I can say that Oro could grow pair of snake wings out of his ass, still it dont have to be true. Lets stay with manga feats.

Deidara didn't even strategize against sasuke, he merely tried to get sasuke to land on a mine, WHICH EPICLY FAILED. His fighting prowess is superbly basic and predictable which is why sasuke knew everything he was going to do. Oro is not, i repeat, IS NOT a predictable person, you dont know what he can do or what actions he will take.

Dude, Gaara who had that huge, flying mass of sand for his dispossal couldnt catch Deidara. Whole Team Gai couldnt catch him when he was on earth, had no arms and almost no chakra. Not to mention, that they were about 2 metres from him.
