Even if he was involved, and I'd like to see some proof that it wasn't just based on his work, it's still irrelevant to manga arguments and thus this subsection of the forums. Does Kakashi have fire elemental affinity or not? In the anime he does, in the manga he doesn't. They're separate. I am certain that the manga is coming from Kishi, I'm not with regards to fillers or movies.
In the 3rd movie Naruto uses a giant FRS, when a regular one severely damaged his arm, yet he's fine afterwards. The anime and movies need liberty because the manga is too short to make a 20 minute episode from. I enjoy basically everything Naruto - manga, anime (including most fillers), movies (meh, 3rd one was the best), and video games (NUNS2, 360 [Leafeaterx]). In the credits, the game is based on Kishimoto's work, but I doubt he had any role in the game at all, especially after playing through it.
For those who read the "Harry Potter" books and watched the movies, you'll see that they're different things entirely, but I appreciate them both.
What I particularly dislike is people that say such a character used X jutsu in the the 3rd movie, he should use it in the ninja war, for example. Technically that technique doesn't exist until it appears in the manga.
Finally, what I emboldened in your quote I think is fine to a limited extent depending on a case by case scenario. If you disagree, that's fine, everyone's entitled to their opinion.
