i think madara will end up teaching him the space/demention jutsus so sasuke doesnt die and itll prolly end um like when madara and minato fought but way more epic

I agree with some of the stuff you said. I also think there is a good chance that Izuna is Tobi. Madara did die, and Izuna has taken up a quest for vengeance against everyone and everything. It's quite possible, although not as likely as my other guess.

My other guess is that Tobi is infact Madara, as he has claimed to be multiple times, and as many people have labeled him over and over. If you want some of that proof, search for my posts and find the ones about Madara = Tobi. I referenced quite a few chapters.

I think that Kabuto is threatening to release the edo-tensei'd Izuna. If Izuna was Madara's equal in every way, as explained by Itachi, then he would be quite a match for Madara. Also, it would be the only person who Madara might feel an emotional connection. Who the hell would want to fight their undead brother, that they hadn't seen in who knows how long? This would fit in perfectly with what we have seen Kabuto pulling against the Konoha people, bringing back teachers, and long lost loves, and fathers to torment them mentally. It would also explain why Madara is so insistent on knowing how to stop edo tensei. He doesn't want to have to fight Izuna, and I don't blame him. Izuna edo, would come back with the MS and that would suck to deal with, even for Madara.

But that's my guess.

Btw, does anyone have a chapter reference for when Madara says that Izuna fought blind and died? I am not familiar with that...can't remember it.

I agree that tobi=madara and you make a good point about izuna being the mystery coffin. kabuto did say he would leave some with their minds for emotional effect. this could be one of the coffins he was refering to. and just to build on this, it would also explain why madara is so afraid. many times, izuna has been said to have been equally matched with madara. it has also been stated that madara is a shell of his former self. this could be why he fears that coffin so much. it would be an emotional battle, izuna would not be able to be killed, and now that madara is weaker than he used to be, izuna would be able to defeat him.

My guess is that 'Tobi' is Izuna Uchiha. The only proof we have of his death is the word of 'Madara'. To fake one's death its obviously necessary to propagate such a rumor. My theory is that Zetsu witnessed the battle at the VoTE and retrieved the eyes, while enjoying a snack, for Izuna. Unforeseen problems arose with the EMS 're-transplant' leaving Izuna at diminished capacity. He poses as Madara for obvioius shock-effect advantage. 'Izuna-Tobi' made a deal with Danzo. I believe Orochimaru, obsessed with forbidden techniques, was involved with and an agent of Danzo, employed as his 'Dr. Frankenstein'. The deal made to 'harvest' the Uchiha sharingan as weapons... The ultimate Forbidden Uchiha tech--Izanagi. A Tech that closes the eye permanently. Requiring a large supply of disposable Sharingan. The 2 split the booty, entered into a mutual non-aggression pact and rendered a potential threat into non-existence. I believe Orochimaru joined Akatsuki with the orders from Danzo to retrieve Itachi's sharingan. Later, Oro went rogue and desired the Sharingan for himself, pursuing Sasuke.

Izuna, being the equal of Madara and one of the 2 firsts to awaken MS, knows the Secrets of the Sharingan and the history as well as Madara. He took it upon himself to surpass his brother once and for all. To go one step further than Izanagi. To become the 'equal' of the So6P. Insane, but logical.

Its just a theory. It is just as possible Madara is Tobi or pulls the strings of Tobi in some way.

It could very well be Izuna in that coffin in chapter 490 which forms the basis for Kabuto-Maru to force his will upon Tobi into accepting a partnership. After the shock by which Tobi reacts, calling Kabuto a madman, Kabuto replies 'You can relax (i.e. Don't worry), I haven't told a soul (anyone)'

This strongly implies damming evidence which Kabuto could reveal at any time which contradicts Tobi's claim of being Uchiha Madara. NOT so much a powerful adversary that has Madara shaking in his boots.

And, while I agree that is Kabuto's style to inflict emotional damage where possible, It doesn't account for the line 'You can relax..I didn't tell' to paraphrase the line. The line implies the revelation is more dangerous than the confrontation.

Plus, Kabuto's reluctance to call Tobi by the name of Madara.

Then there is chapter 520, where Kabuto tells himself to calm down ... but he'd be in trouble if he has to fight 'the Rinnegan' here. Not Madara..

Not to mention chapter 521 where Kabuto, when speaking of Edo Tensei, says 'The technique is so powerful, so incredible...That tales of its wielder inevitably spread across the entire world. I could become more infamous than, say.....Uchiha Madara...'

Tobi responds to this jibe with anger 'I though I told you not to push your luck with me!'

Notice Kabuto didn't say more infamous than 'you'?

This all leads me to believe that, in a very significant way, Tobi is not Uchiha Madara. He might be acting on his behalf, through some unbeknown connection. Or directed by him, or contains a part of him...

To the reference which states Izuna is dead. The chapters relevant are 386 (Itachi explains to Sasuke) and 399 (Tobi-'Madara' explains the past to Sasuke). 399 p. 5 we see Izuna in a coffin. But is this in the mental imagery of Sasuke, hearing the story and assuming? Or in the imagery of Tobi...wanting all to believe Izuna had died in his 'sacrifice' for his clan.

On page 4, chap 399, we see Tobi clutching his arm while he lies to Sasuke that Izuna 'accepted his role...and willingly gave his eyes to me'. This either implies that as Izuna himself, he remembers all to well the truth behind his lies and it still hurts. Or....?

It is VERY possible Tobi is Madara. But only in some reduced way. Like Itachi said, ' a shell of his former self'. It could be his body is a fabrication produced by white Zetsu and only the one EMS eye contains his 'soul' and transmits his will to the clone-white Zetsu 'brain' and 'body'. His left EMS being burned out long ago by use of Izanagi..possibly to 'resurrect' himself via Illusion into reality of Izanagi. His half lost EMS still allows him 'Eternal' eye-life, but at a reduced capacity. One in need of a supply of good genuine Uchiha-brand parts.

i hope i could come up one of my own.
im still mum on "madara's myth" though...
his issues are "very intangible". he talks of eye powers, soul, spirits, space/time jutsus, other dimensions etc...
seems very hard to prove in the manga.

my short comments for now..

1. smokasushibushi's theories are very much supported by re-directs, accuracy is out of the question. but...
a. izuna knew he was the weaker of the siblings, that is why he gave his eyes to madara. so, izuna -whether he lives up to now or not - will be forever be "inferior" to madara. besides, he won't engage madara in a battle should kabuto got hold of madara's soul. izuna might as well free madara than fight him before kabuto twitches madara's will and be a mindless killing machine. "if and only if izuna is tobi", izuna could very well waste kabuto at first before this sly coward makes his move against him.
b. madara as tobi is a liar. or shall i say "izuna as tobi as madara" is a liar. i couldn't care less just ride his wonderful "villain myth".
c. obito died, and zetsu "black and white" could have "experimented on him upon his crushed half body. this would lead us to " zetsu is our guy" as the one to call the shots --- and not madara eh?!?

2. try1x07, yo dude!! got bold theories there!!! let us discuss them sometime.
a. kabuto is one weak liar too. yes, he is calm. but he is a "user" and a second rate copy cat who does not own a "great jutsu of his own". credits on his current powers are not his but to the original users.
b. we haven't see madara summon anything. gedo mazo was used to be summoned by pain-yahiko.
c. madara as tobi could be very well soul-less. but unclear it is that he had a hand to nagato's rinnegan before that activation. he still has to tell a true thing in the manga. the devil is a liar.
d. the heretical statue is not the juubi's body. the juubi's body is at the center of the moon. none in the manga was written or told that is was summoned by nagato nor madara.

...nevertheless, great, great theories. nice discussion before the next chap!!!

all we saw was the SWORDS ABILTYS NOT THAT GRAET haku protecting zabuza again and it wasnt that good i give it a one kisi needs to get:flaw:
