We'll start with the old tried and true - give me your best understanding of Yang within the philosophical context of Yin-Yang. Then extend that into the NRP, and explain its place here. Symbolism is what is important here.

So as I understand it, Yin and Yang are essentially two sides of the same coin, two halves of a greater whole keeping one another in a delicate balance. They are composed of polarized concepts, like Light and Dark, Male and Female, Hot and Cold, and so on, but despite being polar opposites, they are not in conflict with one another, for one cannot exist without the other. If there was no such thing as "hot", there would be no cold, as there would be nothing you could point to that would be different from what "cold" is, thus making cold all there was, and by extension nothing essentially. The existence of one is dependent on the existence of the other, and vice versa. And when you combine the two to create Yin-Yang, you achieve everything that is, or can be. Yang, if I remember correctly, encompasses the former of the examples I gave earlier, ranging from Light to Male to Warmth, and so on.

In the series, while Yang encompasses the same concepts as the philosophical counterpart they aren't seen very much, and it is portrayed more as a force that governs vitality, allowing one to imbue things with life/ sentience where there is none. This is seen in cases like when Naruto achieves the Nine Tails Chakra Cloak and, due to him possessing the Yang half of Kurama, his overwhelming physical energy induces rapid growth in Yamato's nearby Wood Release constructs, giving them life, causing them to bloom into actual trees. Yin by comparison governs spirituality, and is able to give form to that which has none. I know from my previous experience with Yang however that in the Roleplay, Yang encompasses more than just sentience. There are techniques which carry that conceptual warmth that Yang is said to represent as a heat-based offensive technique, and others which allow for alterations to the physical form, which is mentioned in passing during Naruto's training as an explanation for why the Akimichi's Expansion Jutsu encroaches upon Yang. There are also techniques which carry the most potent of healing found in the series, such as when Naruto not only "healed", but fully restored Kakashi's lost eye, growing it from essentially nothing. This is where the Yin-Yang symbol comes into play in regards to how Yin and Yang actually work, at least here in the RP. Despite there being nothing for Naruto to "heal" aside from stopping the bleeding within the socket, he managed to create an entire organ through Yang, and the simplest explanation of this can be found in the symbol itself. As the two symbols spiral around one another, in the center of both there is a piece of the other. Naruto created an entire eye where there wasn't one, or to put it another way, gave form to that which did not exist, like Yin is supposed to. There is a aspect of Yin found within this usage of Yang. Likewise, there are Yin-adjacent techniques which, despite being primarily spiritual in nature, can be physically seen and interacted with, like Tayuya's snake-like flute Demons. Because they were almost entirely composed of Spiritual Energy, they sought out Physical Energy in an attempt to achieve balance, feeding on it by devouring it from her enemies. Once again, an example of there being even a small hint of Yang, or Physical Energy existing within an otherwise Yin, or Spiritual technique, reinforcing the concept of duality the Elements, and philosophy represent.

That is everything I can currently recall, either from my previous experiences, and general knowledge of how Yin-Yang works.

This concept of balance is an interesting one. What separates a Yang Master from a Yin-Yang Master? All three fields (though they are all technically one single field) can manipulate the ratio between physical and spiritual energy. In fact, by the end of this training you're going to be able to manipulate your physical ratio so much to the point where it will almost entirely overshadow the spiritual. Could a Yang user control Yin by doing this indirectly? Could they reduce their Yang to achieve an effect similar to increasing their Yin?

Well as it was told to me during my training with Pervy, at least as far as the restrictions within the techniques themselves go, a Yang Master is someone who has completed their Yang training, and Specializes in Yang. So my assumption would be that a Yin-Yang Master would be the same, someone who has completed Yin, Yang, Yin-Yang training, and has the full Yin-Yang specialty on their bio.

I remember White Tiger having an effect associated with it that involved impacting the Yin Chakra within the targets body, affecting their ability to utilize Yin and related fields because they essentially had so much Yang Release Chakra injected into them that it disrupted their own balance between the two. As far as I'm aware this is the only way one can directly manipulate Yin Chakra without having the field itself, but it's only a result of overwhelming your opponent with such concentrations of Yang Release Chakra. You aren't directly manipulating Yin Release Chakra but rather indirectly affecting it, which I think is an important distinction to draw. In a roundabout way the answer to your question is yes, but only indirectly, as a result of creating an imbalance via increasing Yang Release Chakra.

As for your second question, personally I don't believe it's possible to make one "better" at Yin because you're reducing your Yang Chakra. Best you'd achieve is making yourself physically weaker, without actually increasing anything Yin related, because negatively impacting one isn't the same as being able to enhance, or directly control the other.

That distinction in your previous training is very shallow. Let's try that again in a more abstract way. What can a Yin-Yang Master do that a Yang Master cannot?

Well, Yang is the power that governs vitality, granting one the ability to imbue sentience into that which already has form, or directly manipulate the vitality of a giving target. This manifests in a number of ways, the primary among them being healing which exceeds even Medical Ninjutsu, allowing one to not only heal wounds, but replace entire lost limbs and organs, or even make new limbs where there were none to begin with, like Ring of Hell which allows one to make alterations to their physical form, or that of their allies, to name just a few.

By comparison a Yin-Yang master is one who has completely mastered both components, as well as the full thing, and as a result has complete mastery of all concepts found within. Not only can they control vitality, they can give form from nothing and imbue that with life permanently unlike Yang itself which is limited, leading to the Creation of All Things, which on a conceptual level means one can create just about literally anything, but in the roleplay, it's limited to familiars in the vein of Hagoromo's creation of the Nine Tailed Beasts, but to a much lesser extent as most people lack his skill, and more importantly the vast quantities of Chakra he had access to at that time. Speaking of Chakra, that's another thing a Y/Y master can do, create Chakra from nothing, which is achieved by combining physical and spiritual energy together, much like how Shinobi combine those two energies to make Chakra themselves, though this is the complete creation of new Chakra from nothing rather than a conversion of extant energies within the body, which for the purposes of the roleplay is already calculated at a max potential value at all times. And that combination of energies leads into another aspect of a Yin-Yang Master's capabilities, the ability to utilize more than one nature at a time. While in the past I believe this allowed one to perform multiple Elemental techniques at the same time, this isn't the case any more and is the ability to combine multiple Chakra Natures at once, which is required to combine Yin and Yang together from the looks of it. In the ability's description thread it does mention the ability to channel multiple natures at one time, though this cannot be used to perform more than one technique at the same time, and is for setting up consecutive techniques or performing techniques that have multiple natures within them rather than a same-timeframe type of offensive ability. These are the main things a Yin-Yang master is able to do, but in short, they can do all a Yang Master can, in addition to a Yin Master, and more on top of that by combining the two together to reach heights they cannot on their own.

Alright, then let's get the party started. This technique has seen a lot of edits since its creation.

(Yoton: Jigoku ni henkō) - Yang Release: Change into Hell
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A (+50, -10 per turn)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user is able to use their Yang nature too imbue life into an elemental technique, creating a Yang/Element sentient entity that remains on the field to aid them. The only limit is the size of the technique originally used as an elemental source, as the resulting entity will always be half the size. The entity can be interacted with, can act on its own, and is made of the element sourced with all its properties intact. Its strength is based on the original elemental technique used as a source. This doesn’t consume time since it is actually a skill applied to a technique used within the same timeframe. The infused chakra increases the technique by an additional ten chakra, of the fifty it costs in total. Note that the resulting entity created by this technique is bound by logical limitations of its shape and nature; a meteor cannot move on its own, a pillar cannot walk away, and a statue without arms cannot pick things up. Likewise, while it is able to use techniques from the source it is created from it cannot extend into different fields. For instance, if Susano’o is brought to life by this technique it cannot use Blaze Release unless the Susano’o itself is constructed, or partially formed, from Blaze itself (e.g. Sasuke’s Susano’o). It is bound by the literal source it is formed from, rather than the fields it is bound to.
Note: Usable 3 times per battle and up to 6 times per event to create one entity with up to 300 chakra points that is able to use jutsu from the source it was created from. Its chakra reserves can be replenished through external means, and because it has a chakra network can fall under the influence of Genjutsu or other Spiritual-based techniques.
Note: Yang Release masters can apply this technique to advanced fields and CE and advanced elements.

Change into Hell is a really nice technique with some simple mechanics. As you perform another technique you add an additional 50 Chakra to it, within the same timeframe but not as a passive action, 10 of which boosts the target technique itself and increases it's cost, and the rest is to cover the cost of CiH itself. In summary it grants the technique it is applied to sentience as well as a fairly large Chakra pool of 300, from which the -10 Chakra per turn cost is deducted and when it runs out the technique dissipates. The trade offs are that the size of the technique is halved, meaning you should probably start with a technique of at least a certain size or else it'll be far too small to contribute properly, or maybe having a tiny familiar could work to your advantage, unsure personally. The other drawback is that the familiar is restricted to the type of material the original is made from, not a specific field, so for example if it were to be made of Ash from Fire Release, the familiar can only use Ash, and not any given Fire Release technique. Both are fairly reasonable drawbacks, and the ability to apply this to CE among other things if you are a Yang Release specialist is very nice indeed. You can also maintain the familiar's form by replenishing it's Chakra, which is also rather nice. Finally, despite granting a technique sentience, it's still logically limited by what the original can do. If it doesn't have limbs, you can't expect it to suddenly grow them so it can walk, or throw a punch, and so on.

Yeah, that's actually a pretty solid explanation. You mentioned the chakra pool so let's discuss that. First question, do you think these creations can be put under an illusion? Building on that, can you replenish their chakra?

The last line in the first note says yes to both though honestly one would think because they lack proper biological functions, like a nervous system, and a brain, that they couldn't be tricked by a disruption in their Chakra flow, but as they are made up entirely out of Chakra for the most part, I guess it makes sense. From what I recall Genjutsu cause a disruption in the Chakra Network, which affects the nervous system, the brain, and the senses specifically, leading to altering a targets perception of their surroundings, whether that's hearing sounds that have no source, or seeing thing that aren't there. And Tailed Beasts are basically familiars made via Creations of All Things, and we've seen those put under Genjutsu, but in say Kurama's case he has a brain, whereas a familiar created purely from Fire would not, but again, it's not illogical that a disruption in Chakra would affect a familiar in a similar way to a Genjutsu used on a Shinobi. As for replenishing their Chakra, I assume you can't just reuse the technique on the familiar, as that would just result in a new one being made, so you need to actually have a technique specifically made for allowing the transfer of Chakra between yourself and a given target. They can also recover their own Chakra I assume, provided a technique they're using can siphon or absorb Chakra, so long as they don't go over their 300 Chakra cap, and explode.

Ninja magic, in reference to the Yang part. It's more about disrupting spirituality.

(Yoton: Taiyōnomegumi) - Yang Release: Touch of the Sun
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost:70 per use
Damage points: N/A
Description: Through the infusion of Yang natured chakra into others, users can heal others to their original best physical form. It can be used to regrow missing body parts, heal wounds, purge poisons, etc. The target needs to be alive and the bigger the injury, the longer it takes to heal. The limits of the heal, however, are almost none as it can heal 150 damage per turn and can even heal the chakra system or other injuries that are otherwise not possible to be healed. The technique requires time and physical contact and as such isn't very suited to use in a battle when compared to regular Iryo Ninjutsu.
Note: Yang Release masters are able to use on themselves.

The technique Naruto used to completely restore Kakashi's own eye after Madara stole Obito's Sharingan straight out of his socket, Touch of the Sun is one of the best healing techniques in the RP, at least as far as canons go, and not including anything that may have been added recently on the same level as Y/Y. With a large infusion of Yang Release Chakra, you essentially activate, stimulate, etc the target's body, and completely restore anything physically "wrong" with the target, whether that's a missing eye, limb, organ, or some other injury, like poisons. What's important to note is that the healing is limited to physical damage, something that was inflicted with a tangible Element or instrument, and thus wouldn't repair any Spiritual damage done to the target. It specifies damage done to their physical form after all. It also specifies a living target, which make sense as you need the target's own body to react to the Yang Chakra you're infusing them with. A dead body can't repair itself the same way a dead tree doesn't grow leaves, and no amount of Yang Chakra can change that. Finally the time it takes to heal directly corresponds to the extent of the injury/ injuries you're healing, but it doesn't specify how long it would logically take. I assume because it states that it can heal 150 health per turn, that's what determines the duration of the healing? If your target has lost a hand, or been injected with a minor poison, and the damage dealt was less than 150, it would only take that turn to heal, while someone with more extensive damage would take longer, and directly scale based on that?

The "150 damage per turn" would be just that. If one has a higher health pool and suffers more than 150 damage them they logically wouldn't be able to heal all of it in one go. They would need to cast this technique again in the following turn to heal whatever damage is leftover, but I doubt your opponent would just sit there and wait for that.

Power of The Sun is a body empowering technique that makes use of yang chakra throughout the entirety of your body to increase your physical capabilities.

(Yoton: Ken'i) - Yang Release: Power of The Sun
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 100 (50 per turn)
Damage points: N/A (+40 to Taijutsu)
Description: The user will reinforce his own body with Yang natured chakra, empowering his physical abilities to the outermost limits. This allows him to become physically very strong (beyond the normal levels of chakra enhanced strength), increases his resistance to physical damage (decreasing 60 damage from any physical contact), his speed (boosted to 3.5x his normal speed), and grants him a passive healing of all minor wounds at 30 damage per turn. However, by infusing himself with the Yang Nature, he becomes unable to use Yin Release techniques or Yin/Yang Release techniques; he cannot use Genjutsu or non elemental Ninjutsu of any kind (including special fields like Fuuinjutsu).
Note: Can only be used twice per battle and lasts 4 turns per use.

Ah, the better Yang State. For just 300 Chakra total, and an inability to use most fields for the 4 turns you can have this technique active for, you become a powerhouse in close quarters combat. A +40 to Taijutsu and other similar physical actions, a 3.5x multiplier to your speed, passive healing of 30 and passive 60 damage shaving, this makes the user extremely fast, hard hitting, and harder still to kill, with very little drawbacks. No Yin, Yin-Yang, Genjutsu, and non-Elemental universal and basic skills can be scary, but when weighed against what you get in return, and especially since there's very little drawbacks outside of this limit, it's a no brainer. I will definitely be using this. No questions.

Well you can't perform Fuinjutsu while the Mode is active, meaning you can't weave seals or gather Chakra, and use it specifically to perform Fuinjutsu, so I'd say you'd probably be able to use Chakra to activate existing seals, primarily body seals, but also potentially things you perform, activate and set up before activating Power of the Sun would work. It's not like the technique outright disables any usage of Chakra, it's just that you are prevented from performing those techniques themselves while in it, so using Chakra to merely "activate" them shouldn't be an issue. Gets more complicated if it's something you actively maintain, but if it's only a Fuinjutsu that requires Chakra, or even better something you can perform regardless of the restriction, as a trigger, and it produces some effect, you could theoretically perform "Fuinjutsu" while in Power of the Sun.

You are correct. Even while in this state, pre-applied seals can still work when the trigger/activation requirement is met because seals that are pre-applied have their chakra deducted when place. That means if you place a seal that requires a trigger to be activated, then it can be activated when the requirement is met even when under the influence of power of the sun.

8 Branched Giant Snake allows one to create Serpents composed of yang energy. They can be utilized similar to chakra arms, and are sentient in addition to possessing snake-like sensing. They are also linked to you telepathically. Give me some pros and cons of this one.

(Yoton: Yamata no Orochi) Yang Release: 8 Branched Giant Snake
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 100/110 for Yin-Yang chakra
Damage: 100/120 w/ Elemental or Yin-Yang chakra
Description: This technique sees the creation of the mythical serpent, the Yamata no Orochi. The user begins by gathering their Yang chakra into their arms and creating three branching streams of white chakra from each of them as well as coating both arms in chakra. The user’s arms and streams of chakra will take the form of serpents with flaming amber eyes. Due to the nature of this technique utilizing one’s Yang chakra, these serpents are not simple manifestations of chakra, but actual sentient creatures. The serpents can sense entities like ordinary snakes and they share a telepathic link to the user, allowing them to communicate with each other. They act like chakra arms and can be used for a variety of purposes. In the base form of this technique, the 8 branches are simple ethereal constructs of sentient Yang chakra. In their second form, users can add nature release to the branches to increase their power. In their third and final form, the user can add Yin Release chakra and give the branches physical bodies. The addition of the Yin Release also gives the branches unique venom which drains the physical vitality of the victim. The bite from each snake lowers a victim’s physical speed, reaction, and ability to use high ranked physical techniques.

Note: Form 1 is capable by all users of Yang Release, Form 2 is capable of Yang Release masters and Yin-Yang users. Form 3, also known as Yin-Yang Release: Yamata no Orochi is only capable of Yin-Yang Users with an affinity to Yang Release.
Note: The vitality degenerating venom is capable by all branches of this technique, however there is only enough for 3 usages. The vitality degeneration venom becomes worse with every bite. If a victim is bitten once their base reaction/tracking is reduced by half, twice and their base speed and physical damage is reduced by half, and thrice they will lose the ability to use any form of tai or kenjutsu techniques and will be rendered completely paralyzed 2 turns after the third bite if not healed. The victim will be unable to do anything short of breathing, including using their chakra. Users bitten once also become incapable of using physical elevating techniques such as Sage Mode or EIG.
Note: Medical ninja or other Yang Release users can rid themselves of the poison through means of medical techniques or vitality boosting techniques such as power of the sun.
Note: Technique can only be used once per battle and requires 50 chakra points to maintain (60 above the first form). While this technique is in use, the user cannot use any non-elemental ninjutsu, Yin Release, or Yin-Yang techniques (other than this technique’s advanced variation).

To sum it up, you use Yang Chakra to create six Chakra constructs in the form of snakes, three on each arm. Because they're made from Yang Release Chakra, they have sentience, allowing them to act independently from the user. They have similar physical capabilities as snakes, with the same extrasensory capabilities, and can share this, along with anything else they see, sense, experience, etc via a mental link, which combined with the previously mentioned sentience, is very nice. One of their main functions in this base state is that they can act like Chakra arms, allowing them to be used as conduits for techniques, like how Naruto can create Rasengan and use the Chakra arms to attack an opponent without endangering his own body, which is a very nice pro of this technique. With the Yang Release specialty, you gain the ability to increase their damage with an infusion of Elemental Chakra, while Y/Y Masters with an affinity for Yang can create physical snakes, in addition to giving them a poison with a debilitating effect. Considering the first bite alone can prevent users from entering Sage Mode, and require either Yang or Med to remove these effects, that's a very powerful effect to begin with, and one you get into affecting Movement, reaction and tracking speed, physical damage, then complete immobility thereafter. All very powerful effects for shutting down an opponent's physical attacks and actions. If I were to try and give this a con, Medical Ninjutsu being able to remove the effects is very cost effective. Roughly 5k for Med from what I remember, which isn't a whole lot when it's countering a skill from a 25k purchase, but like I said this is splitting hairs really. And really the only cons, once again, are the restriction the technique places on the user, No non-Elemental Ninjutsu, Yin or Yin-Yang, except the Y/Y version of this technique. It's not a lot, but considering this technique targets the opponents own physical actions and options, it leaves their own spiritual attacks unaffected. So for example, if your opponent counters with a Yin technique, you wouldn't likely be able to respond with a more appropriate counter, as you're locked out of Yin yourself. Not impossible, but it's definitely a con of the technique. Finally, while the cost per turn is rather high, I can't see a listed duration, which is both a pro and a con. You can keep it active for as long as you want, but you might end up burning through more Chakra than you intend to, in fact, it almost seems incentivized, since you only get the one usage for the technique. Overall again it's another technique with several powerful pros, and few, but somewhat debilitating cons.

Sorry for the wait.

Like always you listed clearly how the technique works and its pros and cons. One thing to keep in mind with this technique though is that even though there are 8 heads, you only have enough venom for three uses, meaning that this method of attack can't be used by all 8 heads. You mentioned the turn limit not being listed, and as you pointed out you'd just continue paying the chakra cost to keep this technique active, but it's really up to you to decide if that will benefit you or not. Now onto the next technique, White Tiger

This technique allows you to create pseudo-sentient white tiger heads that leave debilitating effects on an opponent after being struck by them due to injecting their body with yang chakra and causing an imbalance.

( Yoton: Byako ) - Yang Release: White Tiger
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 70 (-40 per turn)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user gathers Yang energy into his arms and hands, creating pseudo sentient white tiger heads. Due to the Yang energy, the arms become incredibly hot, causing steam emanate from them. The tiger heads roar when the user attacks and releases the dense steam as a result. In spite of the menacing appearance of the tigers, the strikes do not cause bone crushing or outwardly physical harm. Each strike onto the target causes a massive release of yang chakra into the body, which causes an imbalance of Yang energy. The imbalance results in the target's inability to mold chakra sufficiently for techniques. A single strike from this technique is all that is required to imbalance one's chakra. Targets afflicted by this imbalance become incapable of using techniques unless they spend 3x the amount chakra ordinarily required. However, excessive amounts of chakra from this technique (one turn of contact or a total of 4 completed strikes) results in a more degrading consequence. The incoming chakra becomes so great that it literally begins to burn away the victim's Yin Release chakra in order to make room until the ratio of Yin is at its minimum level required for the victim to remain alive. This reduces the victim's chakra pool by 50% as well as cause their body such tremendous physical pain due to the excess physical energy in their body. Their muscles begin to tear resulting in their movement speed being reduced by 1/4th. Other Yang Release users and Yin-Yang users are capable of controlling the excess amounts of Yang release energy due to their training and thus, will not lose any speed and will only lose 25% of their chakra. Senjutsu surges of equivalent chakra or infusions of those ranks will negate the side effects of this Jutsu, allowing it to be ended prematurely. Should two or more strikes land, the amount of chakra needed to break it will increase likewise, requiring 20 more chakr.
Note: One strike prevents the use of techniques S-rank and above and requires 3x the normal cost for techniques A-rank and below. Yin-Yang Release users can use S-rank at 3x the cost due to their elevated control. The use of Yin Release and genjutsu above A-rank becomes impossible after 2 strikes. All matter of genjutsu becomes unusable after 4 strikes.
Note: The technique ends when the user calls for it or after they've made 4 successive strikes, whichever comes first. While the jutsu is active, the user cannot use Yin Release or non-elemental ninjutsu.
Note: Usable twice per battle and with a 4 turn cool down.
