Thanks for the help.

Because of my Rank, and the fact I haven't purchased Dokkodo (but Ronin can use it without it save the two ultimate techniques) as my mode yet, all I can learn at the techniques up to A rank.

Okay, in that case, we will start with the Ronin to give you time to obtain Dokkodo.

Let's begin with some more background related information. What do you know about ronin in actual history, Samurai and Ronin in the RP and Ronin in the WSE?

Let's begin with some more background related information. What do you know about ronin in actual history, Samurai and Ronin in the RP and Ronin in the WSE?
So, in real life, Ronin usually referes to disgraced Samurai. Either they have dishonored themselves somehow in battle by failing and objective or preforming a shameful action, or they failed in service to their lord or vassal (usually, their Lord was somehow killed in a conflict, or such), and any such samurai under a lord's command would be considered a Ronin.

Or, rather, this is what I know based on literary tales of "Bushido", which could honestly be a fabrication, much like how chivalry is handled in tales of knights and such.

In the RP, I know quite a bit about Samurai, haha, since I feel like I was one of their largest proponents going forward. The keep to their Land of Iron roots, and focus heavily on CQC, through Kenjutsu and Taijtusu. Iaido is probably their defining characteristic, though I've never really felt it was super strong due to the heavy presence of handsealless techniques. SSS on the other hand is an amazingly versatile technique and almost singlehandedly keeps Samurai relevant.

As far as Ronin, I know that they were a NW creation focused around "yin" to the Samurai's "yang", and that they use spiritual kenjutsu somewhat inspired by a CFS I tried to submit long ago (I think).

In the WSE, I honestly know very little about the Ronin. There is a tremendous amount of lore in the WSE I have to catch up, so all I know is that they aren't Ronin in the traditional disgraced-lord sense, but rather they're another faction of Samurai with a different focus.

I believe their current claim to fame is that they run the Witchwood Arena, which is a King of the Hill style PVP arena, and the Last Bastion, which is a sort of high-tier PVE arena?

As expected, the real life parts were accurate, even the potentially false stories part. Ronin were disgraced Samurai with no leader in many cases. There's nothing much to add here but to point out the emphasis on disgraced samurai.

In the RP, Ronin were designed as a way to introduce a new type of Kenjutsu to the RP. Samurai at the time were also pretty weak so I decided to give it a buff to raise it to around Tier 3-4 potential. Because Samurai focused on quick physical strikes or blades of chakra to attack physically, I wanted Ronin to be a different type of swordsman that used something differently. The options were Spiritual Ken, to act as a polar opposite skill wise from the Physical Ken of Samurai, or Natural Energy Ken, which I planned to represent by having Ronin be more attuned to nature in the WSE. We decided on Spiritual as it was a better theme for them and better setup. Later on, the other got developed into Dokkodo so they both eventually made it in.

As for the NW, well the story is a bit complicated there. First, they are based on the story of the 47 Ronin and their master Asano. Tl;dr their leader Asano disrespected this official so the official kept disrespecting Asano until he snapped and tried to kill him. Drawing his blade in that building was forbidden and punishable by death, which they did and forced his remaining Samurai to become ronin. Asano's main counselor and essential right hand man Ōishi heard the news and smuggled Asano family and the rest of them away before "complying" with the order to disband. From there, the rest is history. The group pretended to be normal, plotted for 2 years and then killed the official and his family before killing themselves.

In the NW story, the de facto leader of the Ronin after their leader was killed was Oisha, his right hand man. Oisha lead them alongside Ishijo and Kaida, two other names of the 47 Ronin, at least allegedly. They appeared during an arc and had a tower deemed the Dark Tower where they hosted a tournament called the Corridor of Roses or something where it was forbidden to use Jutsu outside of the tournament, a reference to where Asano attacked and violated. Oisha eventually betrayed them and fled, leaving the group without an actual leader and being truly Ronin. After his escape, Ishijo and others opened their doors to others to fight special opponents as a way to help for what Oisha had done. New Ronin bios are members after this point - after Oisha left and the official leader is gone. Members are either recruited directly by them or are former samurai who throw away the bushido code.

With that said, any questions so far? We'll being going over the differences between Spiritual Ken and normal and the techs after this

No, so far so good. I think most of my questions will come up as we address things individually.

Thanks on the crash course of the Ronin history in the WSE, though. Comparing it to 47 Ronin actually helped a lot.

Okay so in the RP, as you know most abilities are split into either Spiritual or Physical in terms of how they deal damage. Spiritual also refers to how the ability operates and which of the two energies it aligns with more, such as Genjutsu, Sharingan and of course, Ronin and their Kenjutsu. Ronin Kenjutsu, or spiritual Kenjutsu that directly targets the target's spirit/soul, is made as the polar opposite of normal Kenjutsu of the Samurai, or Kenjutsu that directly deals physical damage to the target's body. Because of this difference, Ronin Kenjutsu has it's own set of advantages and disadvantages compared to regular Kenjutsu. I updated the Ronin ability thread to reflect this but I'll also mention it here as part of training and how it applies to all other Ronin techs.

  • Rōnin Kenjutsu cause an inability to use different body parts hit ( Head, Torso, Feet, Arms (Hand included), Hands ) for a single turn due to severed spiritual energy preventing proper chakra flow, increasing by 1 turn for every successful Rōnin Kenjutsu technique landed. Should a subsequent Rōnin Kenjutsu technique miss/be countered properly, the chain will be broken and must be restarted at 1 turn again.
This effect was part of the Spiritual Kenjutsu tech but it was scrapped for a few reasons. It was basically a copy of another tech with a different ability than it and as it was pointed out, there was nothing that denoted what actually happened with damage taken from Spiritual Kenjutsu. This way, it defines how attacks work and their effects. This makes normal Ronin Kenjutsu much more dangerous now than before. This also helps to define other techniques, as I'll mention later. A few other things were better defined in context to the ability and reworded, which can be seen in the rule thread.

Because of this, we will start with the basic Ronin Kenjutsu technique forming likely the bulk of your fighting with it.

( Rōnin Seishin Ken no Jutsu ) – Rōnin Spiritual Blade Technique
Type: Defensive/Offensive/Supplementary
Rank: B - S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 20 - 40
Damage: 40 - 80
Description: A technique unique to the Rōnin, utilizing similar principles to the Samurai Sabre. The user channels their chakra through their swords and extends the reach and binding ability of the blade. This creates a meter-long spiritual wispy effect around the blade, appearing as if the blade was steaming. Crescent arcs of almost pure spiritual energy are created through the user’s swings. This chakra plays neutrally against all natures and fields. When striking an enemy’s technique, it will target the balance of spiritual and physical energies, disrupting it and dissipating it harmlessly upon overpowering or neutralizing it. S rank usage can only be done 6 times.
Note: Can only be used by Rōnin biographies.

This one was also edited to have more overall usages and a restricted S rank variant. It's pretty straightforward; you create blades of spiritual energy that you release at the target to harm them or neutralize their technique. Any questions?

Ah, okay, I see what happened.

You took:

( Seishin Kenjutsu ) – Spiritual Sword Technique
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: A - S
Range: Short
Chakra: 30 - 40
Damage: 60 - 80
Description: Seishin Kenjutsu is the unique form of Kenjutsu practiced by Rōnin. The technique itself, on its own, is directed at dealing damage to the spirit and soul of an opponent. When an enemy is struck by this technique the damage inflicted is akin to that of the Shinigami cutting off Orochimaru’s arms. The targeted limb becomes unusable due to the severing of their soul. However, unlike that of the Shinigami Reaper, this effect is not permanent and instead lasts up to 2 turns. Against techniques, the Rōnin will target the spiritual energy within the technique; striking it with the sword will disrupt this balance and, should the Rōnin’s Kenjutsu overpower or neutralize the targeted technique, will dissipate harmlessly. The S-Ranked version of this technique can only be used a total of six times per battle.
Note: Can only be used by Rōnin biographies.
...and extended its abilities to all Ronin techniques? If so, that's pretty cool - that aspect was, what I felt, one of the defining features of things doable with Ronin Kenjutsu, and a premise I really wanted to explore. The increasing by 1 aspect means, that, for example. I hit you with a Ronin technique in the arm, meaning you cant use your arm for one turn. I hit you again next turn in the same arm with a Ronin technique. This time, you can't use it for two turns (1+1), and this increase stacks the more hits I land. Another example: I hit you in the arm with three Ronin techniques in one turn, does it prevent usage for 6 Turns ( [1] + [1+1] + [1+1+1] = 6]? Want to make sure I understand this right.

And if at any point I miss with an attack, that benefit resets. So, if I missed with attack 2 in the above example, it would be (1 + 0 + 1) = 2 turns of uselessness on the arm, for three Ronin attacks in one turn.

For Ronin Spiritual Blade Technique, I have no real questions. On the surface, it operates almost exactly like the Samurai Sabre Technique, which I'm fairly familiar with. The ability to dissipate techniques is very useful, as it allows the Ronin to counter "non-attacks" that they might normally struggle with, like Earth Swamp. This way, you just disrupt the energies composing it.

Correct, I realized there were two Spiritual Sword techs basically and decided to remove it and simply apply it's effects as large. One of the reasons for this was because although Ronin Ken itself is useful, Samurai had more on paper for them than Ronin did, with the speed boost, damage resistance and ability to be immune to poisons + Elemental Ken use. Ronin, having Spiritual Sensory, spiritual damage resistance, and Ronin Ken. Boosting the last one enough could elevate the two fields to be more equal like I prefer.

As for the question, the way you interpreted it is correct, though I do warn that I will likely change the counter to simply additional hits adding an additional turn as a potential nerf due to the potential to abuse it. That way, 3 Jutsu landing would equate to 3 turns of no use instead of 6. If this does change to what I just suggested, I'll be sure to let you know.

And correct, it's a fairly simple technique that you should understand well because of Samurai Sabre, which was the model for this. The only change here is in the title. I wanted the brand of Kenjutsu used by the Ronin to be named after them so I made changes so Ronin Kenjutsu became the name and not Spiritual Ken, which simply describes the effects of it.

( Seishin Iaidō ) – Art of the Spiritual Quick Draw
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: A - Forbidden
Range: Short
Chakra: 30 - 50
Damage: N/A
Description: Spiritual Iaidō is unique to the form of Kenjutsu practiced by Rōnin. Like its physical counterpart, this is a method of quick drawing a blade to strike opponents. However, this differs from the normal Iaido because it does not only aim to prevent hand seals from being created. Instead, the Spiritual Iaido aims to sever Spiritual connection, causing opponents to fail in forming successful future hand seals as their chakra system cannot utilize the chakra properly. This also differs in their damage magnitudes; this variant does not deal damage, instead increasing in rank based on how much chakra it limits the opponent from utilizing due to a spiritual imbalance. A rank prevents Forbidden ranked techniques, S rank prevents S rank and higher techniques while Forbidden ranked usage prevents enemies from making hand seals for any A rank and higher technique. S rank and higher effects last a single turn while A rank lasts for 2 turns.
Note: Can only be used by Rōnin biographies.
Note: A-Rank can be used three times, S-Rank can be used twice, and Forbidden rank can be used once.

Now, as I understand, this was the one you had the most questions regarding due to how it differs from the normal one? Now we can clear it up and maybe even make changes to the description to address that.

That’s fair. The Ronin Kenjutsu is the defining difference between them and Samurai, so I could understand wanting to bring it up to bridge the gap.

And appreciate it! My initial instinct is that changing it or keeping it the same won’t affect balance tremendously. With how things are familiar to me, even when you land a hit you don’t usually land more than one consecutively. While I think leaving as is would be fine (as a scenario where someone ends up without limb usage for six turns is going to be incredibly rare in my opinion), I also think reducing it to only one turn per hit will minimally impact the effectiveness of the style.

That’s one of my…hm, not gripes but observations, is that Ronin Kenjutsu has a lot of “on hit“ effects, which can be easier said than done. That said, though, reducing it to only one per hit might be important for PVE content to prevent completely shutting down NPCs or large summons. But I don’t believe you balance around PVE?

Indeed, I have quite a few questions (comments) about this one, so I'll go ahead and start.

  1. Does this interrupt handseals or not? The phrase " However, this differs from the normal Iaido because it does not only aim to prevent hand seals from being created" leads to some confusion. The "However" leads me to believe that it does not, but the "only aim" part could reasonably be taken as meaning that it DOES interrupt handseals.
    1. If it does interrupt handseals, is it at the same speed as its Samurai counterpart, or does it have a different, flat speed (like Amanogawa, which is S rank, but moves at A rank speeds due to its ranged component).
    2. Speaking of the quick draw portion....does this...use a real sword? Or are we drawing a "spiritual sword" and striking with that? Or are we using a physical sword, and just not doing any actual damage.
  2. How is the - for lack of a better phrase - handseal meta at the moment? I recall handseals, especially for CJ, not really being prevalent or common. This makes the interruption portion of Samurai Iaido useful (and this one, too, if it has it), but considering that you actually have to HIT with this to get the other effects, if handseals aren't super heavily baked into things beyond canon techniques, and the ability to block on handseals isn't super big, in my opinion.
    1. For Samurai Iaido, it has the benefit of still doing damage. So, regardless of whether or not the opponent is using handseal techniques, it still has the benefit of being an attack that needs to be dealt with, and is one of - if not the only technique in the Roleplay with the ability to LEGALLY break timeframe; its the only move I know of that can interrupt the first move of a fight. But, since this version doesn't do damage, even if it CAN interrupt, if handseals are not prevalent, then the handseal blocking in further turns...isn't really much, and the technique could basically be COMPLETELY ignored, like if you were a heavy Doujutsu user. This can't happen with Samurai Iaido , since it can deal damage.
    2. "A rank prevents Forbidden ranked techniques, S rank prevents S rank and higher techniques while Forbidden ranked usage prevents enemies from making hand seals for any A rank and higher technique. S rank and higher effects last a single turn while A rank lasts for 2 turns." The wording on this part a bit manipulable. The A rank version reads like, if it hits, it prevents the opponent from using ALL Forbidden rank techniques, handseals or no. The S rank version reads like it prevents ALL S and Forbidden rank techniques, hand seals or no. But, then, the Forbidden rank version seems like it ONLY prevents handseals, A rank and above, meaning it actually effects LESS techniques.
I'm not too personally bothered by the lack of damage to the attack itself, as it feels more like a crowd control ability rather than an actual attack, but the LACK of damage opens up ways for the OPPONENT to abuse it, especially depending on handseal restrictiveness.

Okay, let's go through the questions.

1. Yes, this is capable of interrupting hand seals. The wording may be a bit confusing but the intent is that it differs from the normal Iaido by not only interrupting seals but also limiting the target spiritually.
1.1 For balance due to the fact it can also limit skills, I'll allow it to be of comparable speeds to S rank Iaido - even the F rank Spiritual Iaido will only be able to interact more than 1 seal.
1.2 It is executed via spiritual blade, designed to pass through the user's limbs in similar fashion to Dangerous Strike. I've edited the technique to directly reference this so it's a lot clearer now.

2. Well, there is a currently soft rule that all techniques above C rank must have at least 1 hand seal. B must have 1, A at least 2 and S and up must have 3 hand seals. The reason I say soft rule is because this isn't currently retroactively applied to every technique including older customs that dont make mention to seals. If that were done, it would make the handseal Specialties become much more important as well as make Iaido much more useful. I've proposed the idea before but haven't recently.
2.1 Well, since it can interrupt handseals and every technique approved post 2017-18I believe has seals mentioned so almost everything being approved lately for sure. I believe it should apply retroactively but I may be in the minority amongst mods. If done, it becomes much more useful battle wise. Even now though, if they choose to fight back instead of defend/counter, they suffer a strong inability to use techs. Less directly damaging but still a powerful effect.
2.2 You're correct in how it reads; S and A rank usages are understood correctly. For Forbidden rank, I wanted to go powerful but then realized looking someone out of 3 ranks may be too much for one hit lol. I may change this as well though.

Any other questions?

After reading the edited technique, no, no further questions. You - and it - clarified on a lot of my confusion for this technique. It definitely has a wide range of usage, especially now that I’m clear on its functionality. Like I mentioned, this feels less like an attack meant to kill the opponent, and more like a crowd control ability. I’m a fan!

As far as the other matter you mentioned, I think it’s a good idea! While as a SamRon user I obviously stand to benefit from it, it also does make the handseal Specialist abilities much more important, like you mentioned.

Sorry for the small dissertation needed for the one.

Okay so I'm going to skip the Mode for now to do all of those related techs at the same time.

( Abunai Ashige ) – Dangerous Strike
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: The user will draw their sword and attack, forming an ethereal arm and sword around his own, comparable to that of Susano’o but much smaller and resembling the user’s own body. This allows the user’s physical arm to pass through the target but the spiritual arm will make contact, cutting through the spiritual energy of a technique or the soul of a target. Due to its purely spiritual nature, not unlike the Doki used by Tayuya, the ethereal sword separates the connection between technique and user. This allows him to sever the connection a spiritual technique has with its caster, effectively ending it. Against Spiritual techniques of equal chakra and lower, this allows the user to effectively end them early. Due to the severing of spiritual energy, the target will suffer spiritual damage as well.
Note: Can only be used by Rōnin biographies.
Note: Can be used three times per battle, once every two turns.

This technique is really useful because of it's effects as well as what it allows you to do custom wise. By creating a chakra manifestation/cloak around their arm and sword, you create a spiritual strike that allows your actual limb to bypass physical targets to deal direct spiritual damage. The added effect of this is it allows you to end spiritual techniques of 40 chakra and lower prematurely. While it can deal high damage, it's best advised to be used against other strong Spiritual techniques to end them since you have only 3 usages. Questions?

Sounds good.

A couple questions though:

So, unlike the Iai variant that creates a spiritual blade, the “Susanoo Arm” from this one allows your real sword to pass through things?

A more general RP question, this is an example of a technique that clashes off of chakra and not damage, right? So even if another S rank had +40 damage, this could stop it unboosted as long as it didn’t have more than 40 chakra, right?

This technique specifically calls it out - should I assume that unless a Ronin technique says “the target will suffer spiritual damage as well” that it doesn’t do spiritual damage (in the manner that it is relevant for the %Fatigue chart), when keeping in mind wanting to make customs based off this going forward?

And finally, if the user couldnt do so otherwise and was willing to take the damage (especially since Ronin take reduced spiritual damage), could this (or a potential custom variant based off this effect) be used to end Spiritual Effects already affecting the Ronin (Genjutsu, specifically of the Yin or MS variety that would fall within the 40 chakra range)?

1. Yes, but only for this technique. I'm skeptical about it's usage in customs and it's potential abusiveness, i.e. someone extending this to the full body to avoid high damage or other potentially problematic metas stemming from it.
2. Correct, it is based on chakra clashes. 40 chakra and lower will be cut through.
3. Correct; while all Ronin techs utilize spiritual energy, this does not mean all their techniques explicitly target the soul. Those that do tend to be stated in the description for clarity's sake.
4. Well, for the most part, every Yin and MS spiritual ability effecting the target uses more than 40 chakra so they would automatically be incapable of being against. As for using it on yourself in general, I don't see anything that prevents it nor do I think it should be prevented. If you're willing to injure yourself to end the ability, sure go for it.

1.) Noted. I'll personally refrain from exploring that avenue, if that's a concern, as I can see where that could potentially step on the toes of something like Kamui.

2-4.) Sounds good, no further questions here!

( Kuebiko ) - Kuebiko
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: 60 ( -20 per turn )
Damage: N/A
Description: A restricted skill among the Ronin, Kuebiko invokes the skill of Spirit Mimicry in battle, allowing the user to link their spiritual energy with that of the targets. This link is established by cutting themselves across the hand and swiping it across the length of the blade. With the blade now glowing, the user releases a wave of spiritual energy at the target in a similar fashion to Hungry Ghost. When a link is established with the target by having his sword's jutsu strike the opponents, the user will link the opponent's spiritual energy with his own, creating a mixed pool of energy to utilize. This allows the user the ability to utilize Spiritual Kenjutsu and Techniques with half of the chakra being fueled by the opponent's chakra and not solely his own. This mixture of both allows it to bypass opponent defenses, dealing direct damage to their spiritual network despite durability levels. Because of the associated cost, the user loses 20 chakra and 10 health each turn this is active, being able to be ended at will.
Note: Can only be used by Rōnin biographies and only once per battle.

This one will suffer a small rewrite as well as I don't like how this is initiated after second thought. The actual effect is fine, but the setup bothers me. Either way, I'm sure this one gives you many ideas for customs and potential questions.

If there’s going to be a rewrite of the technique’s activation I’ll hold off on my questions there. I was actually confused on how to trigger it, but will wait to see how it changes.

And I do have a few questions about this one, as it’s really interesting! This ability is pretty unique to my knowledge and only something Ronin can do.

So this allows Spiritual Kenjutsu “and techniques” to be allowed with the opponent paying half the chakra cost; so stuff like Dokkodo (or, at least Tai or Ken that has a chakra cost)?

Additionally, the technique keeps its full effectiveness, right? So even with Kuebiko active, Spiritual Sword Technique, for example, would still have 30 chakra, just that my opponent and I both pay 15. I also assume that it I had an ability that boosted rank/chakra of a technique that I still play the additional amount, and that isn’t split with the opponent? EX: +10 chakra doesn’t become +5 from both the opponent and I?

The ability to ignore damage resistance with this is astounding, too!

And now two more slightly more complex questions.

Ronin can have Yin Specialist:

Yin Specialist:

Users will gain heightened spiritual abilities translating into an awareness of all genjutsu and spiritual entities below MS level and passive genjutsu kai up to B-rank. As well, Yin user's genjutsu give them heightened genjutsu prowess, allowing them to render their genjutsu techniques unbreakable by one of the primary methods of release (to be specified during the move). The user's chakra siphoning abilities becomes stronger allowing them to passively siphon 30 chakra per turn from enemies.
Note: Requires Yin.
So, how do these combine together (what actually triggers the Yin chakra siphon anyway? Just being in battle?) Or is it more that Kuebiko independently makes your opponent share the chakra cost, and then you steal 30 chakra at the end of your turn?

In that same vein, how does Kuebiko work against multiple opponents? Does it work as listed? So if I caught two people in it, and used a 30 chakra technique , I would pay 15, and BOTH of the opponents would catch 15 EACH, for a total of 45 for the technique? Does this “increase” the chakra for the technique up to the +10 Cap?

Or is it more that I would pay 15, and the opponents would each pay about 8 each, for a total 30? Meaning Kuebiko is less effective the more people you catch in it.

Or does it split the chakra evenly, so now I’m paying 10, as are the two opponents, for a total 30?

And I’m assuming this can catch Summons, clones, etc, as well?

And does Kuebiko’s effect extend to its own upkeep cost?

( Kuebiko ) - Kuebiko
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: 60 ( -20 per turn )
Damage: N/A
Description: A restricted skill among the Ronin, Kuebiko invokes the skill of Spirit Mimicry in battle, allowing the user to link their spiritual energy with that of the targets. Initiated alongside another Ronin Kenjutsu technique, this technique creates a 5 meter wave of chakra that accompanies a technique, neither debuffing nor augmenting its power. Instead, this wave of chakra is intended to contact an enemy source of chakra to establish a spiritual link. Once done, this causes a mixing of spiritual energy that allows the user to access it, drawing from the enemy. This allows the user the ability to utilize Ronin Kenjutsu and Techniques with half of the chakra being fueled by the opponent's chakra and not solely his own. This mixture of both allows it to bypass opponent defenses, dealing direct damage to their spirit despite durability levels. Because of the associated cost, the user loses 20 chakra and 10 health each turn this is active, being able to end this voluntarily. This chakra and health loss cannot be mitigated, applying after healing abilities at the end of each turn.
Note: Can only be used by Rōnin biographies and only once per battle.
Note: Can be used as a standalone technique or alongside another Ronin technique, occurring in the same timeframe in the case of the latter.

As for your questions:
1. No, it indiscriminately only applies towards spiritual based techniques, so Ronin Kenjutsu, Genjutsu, etc. Also correct in regards to functionality; reduced chakra but it doesn't lose any effectiveness.
2. Yin Specialty is being replaced in it's entirety so I'd ignore that for now.
3. It would split evenly amongst the multiple targets that it touches if used directly against people. Otherwise, it'd be half if used against a technique.
4. Yes, Summoning and Creations are affectable as well.
5. No, the 20 chakra per turn comes from the user's only reserves.

Just need clarification on #3, sorry. So, if I used Kuebiko and caught, say you and Daemon at the same time, and then used Spiritual Sword Technique (30 chakra)

How much do I pay, how much do you pay, and how much does Daemon pay?

A.) 15, 15, 15 (everyone pays half)
B.) 15, 8 , 8 (I pay half, and the other half is split amongst everyone else caught)
C.) 10, 10, 10 (the cost is evenly spread across everyone).

Otherwise, no further questions! I quite like the new triggering method.

It would be C.

( Fudōchi Shinmyōroku ) – The Unfettered Mind
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 40 ( -10 per turn )
Damage: N/A ( +40 to Rōnin Kenjutsu )
Description: Considered by many to be the Rōnin’s ultimate technique, as well as their answer to the Samurai’s Bushidō. The Rōnin will release infuse their body and armor with their spiritual energy, granting them augmented abilities; it appears as an aura of purple energy. This infusion reduces the damage of all spiritual based attacks by 50. While active, the fortified spiritual energy prevents the Rōnin from falling under the influence of illusionary techniques, barring those augmented with Yin Release or cast by the Mangekyou Sharingan. The Rōnin’s Spiritual Kenjutsu are enhanced by 40 additional damage, and they become able to move three times faster than their base speed. Upon ending the Rōnin is unable to utilize Iaido, as well as use Spiritual Kenjutsu higher than A-Rank for a single turn. This technique lasts for 6 turns and can be used three times.
Note: Can only be used by Rōnin biographies.

Now, the creme de la creme of Ronin techs. This one visually grants you a purple chakra shroud and strengthens your spiritual connection and resistance. Any non MS level Genjutsu will not work, barring Yin Enhanced Genjutsu. The last part is important because this refers to normal Genjutsu enhanced by Yin techs. Additionally, your Ronin Techniques are likewise enhanced by 40 damage and your speed increases by 3x.

( Fudōchi Shinmyōroku: Taiaki ) – The Unfettered Mind: Annals of the Sword Taia
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: 60 ( -20 per turn )
Damage: 120
Description: The user will draw their sword while Fudōchi Shinmyōroku is active. Based on the Rōnin’s Dangerous Strike, the Annals of the Sword Taia forms a complete spiritual ethereal warrior around the user’s body, resembling their own form. This technique is much like Susano’o though with much smaller stature; the body of Taia is the expression of the ultimate spirit, capable of passing through physical targets that would otherwise obstruct a blade and directly strike at the spiritual energy of a technique or target to inflict its damage. In a sense, this technique is simply an extension of the aura formed during the Unfettered Mind. Taia lasts for the remainder of the duration of the Unfettered Mind, though while it is active the user is only able to perform Rōnin Kenjutsu and regular Kenjutsu through their ethereal guardian. The guardian’s damage, while immense, comes at the cost of a move. Usable twice and lasts as long as the remaining time on Unfettered Mind; once this technique expires the user will be unable to use techniques above A-Rank for a single turn.
Note: Can only be used by Rōnin biographies.
Note: Requires the user to have first used The Unfettered Mind.

This one is great imo; Drackos created it and it essentially functions as an extension of the Dangerous Strike. Creating a chakra warrior around you, this allows you to strike through techniques much like Dangerous Strike but with much more damage and versatility imo. Can you name the advantages this has over the normal technique?
