Cheesy? You seem to be misinformed about the purpose of a forum.

Forums are meant for discussions and exchanging different views or ideas or news or seeking opinion of random strangers on one particular issue or another. No one has to be personally important to anyone.

I thought a forum was where loneley people went when they had nowhere else to go only to get bullied by random anonomous people.

I came here looking for information about new episodes and chapter for Naruto because the series was dropped in my country. They had done so in between chunin arc and I wanted to know how the fight with Gara went. 'Didn't register for first few months and even after I did, I was not really active for more than two years. Just used to check the site on the manga spoiler days and left.

Hmm.. I have my on and off days when I want to interact. I may spend days without uttering an extra word to anyone. But then I can talk to a complete stranger for hours if we found something to chat about. Sometimes it gives funny results. Once after such a conversation session, someone asked name of the girl I have been chatting up with. He was surprised that I didn't know her and neither of us had bothered to ask each other's name despite spending more than an hour together. He might not have believed me at all by the looks he gave me.

neither of us think you're either maybe it's cause we don't know you much but some people here i know them for about 7=8 years now ofc i don't know them for real but with the time i got to know them somewhat ( as much as it virtually allow us ) but if i say i don't give a damn about them then it's a lie because in last few months..........Corona and all the things going on i was checking on everyone that's important to me in real life to know if they're safe and i was coming here to check on people i know too and may not have chat with all of them but was glad seeing them around knowing they're okay too .

I love forums. I do not think they are lame. I think they are slow and this is the main reason why Forums are dwindling. People like to post rapidly nowadays like in Discord, Whatsapp and Skype. This cannot be done on a forum because of multiposting restrictions. Forums also do not show live updates of other people's posts and a person always has to reload the page to see the new posts. This makes the forum look slow.

To support this just go to the mafia section. The threads there are super active with rapid posting mainly because there are no multiposting restrictions.
