Yo, just as a heads up if you do want to get back into it, and need to know what to do, just hmu. I could walk you through getting back into it, ranking up isn't all that hard. I restarted at s-jounin back when the reranks happened the first time and got back up to full arsenal and beyond rather quickly. With missions, you can rank up faster as well, since you can double up on doing missions to rank up, and to gain kumi to get the abilities you want.
When I have some free time again I'll be sure to hit you up then thanks. My inactivity has been mostly fueled by work and college and thats still in the way lol.

I'm interested in your fighting style. What elements/clans you go with?

You'd murder me before I had a shot to try anything. Plus its been so long I'm not even sure what I have in my cj thread anymore
I seriously doubt that. I have mediocre bios at best.

Yo, so the first thing you need to do is get ranked if you aren't, at one point ranks were reset. You can either take the starting rank like everyone else who is new which is now Academy Student or post a battle to get reranked in the Ranking Reform: Battle Submission thread. If you were already reranked via that thread in the past your rank merely shifts over to its corresponding rank in the new ranking system. The current ranks can be found in the Basic Bio Rules, Template and Ranks thread including what you need to do to attain each rank and a bio template. Either way, you will need to win battles or pass missions to increase your rank depending on whatever rank you are now. You also might want to check into the Bio Rules Quick Access thread which lists what type of abilities, and specialties you can have on your bio as specialties themselves have changed significantly and became much more prominent and useful. This is important to do because you are able to pair various abilities now in differing ways. Like KG + HA, HA + AE or AN or Modes and such.

Once you have a rank and know how to rank up under the new system and what abilities you want to have on yoursbio. Then you'll need to get your bio approved by just posting it in the bio section following all the above rules. After you have your bio updated and approved, you'll want to read up on how to obtain, and use kumi. This will be how you attain the abilities you want in case you don't have them or want to get more. Information for it can be found in the Currency System: Kumi & Purchase Lists thread. Additionally, the shop itself can be found here, Kumi Shop.

You can obtain it via battles, or missions. If you choose to pursue missions or interact with the NW you should check into the Ninja World Rules: 1st Year Anniversary Edition thread. It has everything you need to know about the Ninja World laid out so that you can just click the links to find what you want to read up on. Reading the portion on Storyboard Missions is important. Additionally, the Storyboard Missions Criteria is a good resource for understanding how to perform and pass missions which is an alternative way to obtain kumi instead of grinding battles and it also removes the need for another person as you can finish your missions on your own.

If you are still unsure about things, there for a while sensei were required to give orientations to new or returning members. You could ask a sensei to do one with you, which will be a training thread similar to how we used to train the elements but there they will walk you through the various systems and how to use them, as well as the differences to how training works. Just as a side note you no longer need to train in the basic elements or nin, gen or tai as you just get the corresponding techniques as you rank up. Main abilities though like AE, AN, modes, etc still require a training thread.

If you need any more help, or more specialized advice just requote me with questions and I'll answer in a bit.

Am I correct to assume Ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, and kenjutsu are basic ninja skills?
