I think there was a guy (trans woman) who beat the shit out of a real woman in a boxing match. Women can hardly compete with men in sports so it's kind of unfair for trans woman to participate in woman's sport. Kinda.

If it's the latter, like I said if you compare the population sizes of transgender people and women, you'd see that even 1 transgender winning is an over-representation of them in the sport. And this case is not the only one.

I definitely wouldn't put it passed any university research to be biased at this point given how politically charged the topic is. You said you'd lean to the logic of professors over your eye, but that's just you giving up your common sense wrongfully to someone with a title. You see it, I see it, but because they have research that wasn't available in the article, doesn't mean they're right.

I mean, in order for you and me to even be spitting facts... we need to know the facts. Which I aint tryna research all that, I just ended up reading the article fully. Obviously, there is a difference between men and women. The article said trasngendered women. I don't know the process they go through with hormones, but they go through something that makes them less masculine and whatnot. And they have to go through that process for two years straight before being allowed to perform in these competitions. If the law and research says that, that is what it takes for them to be physically equal with woman, then maybe it is. And maybe it isn't. I wouldn't know for sure unless I researched it myself. ( I mean we're super medically advanced, what makes one think that turning a male into an equal woman is impossible? Compared to other medical achievements, that seems plausible) Like, the saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover" is so massively used because it is genuinely applied to a lot of things. You want me to trust my eye? I literally have like 5/20 vision anyway, but, looking at an image and assuming things is how rumours, phobias and assumptions are started. You cannot see what is inside a person... their hormones, altercations, illnesses, etc, by a picture. Let a an ill person put in make up and post it on social media and say "wow they're not sick, they look just fine." I hope no one feels like I am being bossy or rude or anything like that.I have no intentions or feelings of that, I am just seeing things from both sides. Idk, tbh, I love debating. Your argument is transgender find it hard to compete with other biological men and may lose, so to women should be forced to compensate for their issues because they are women by giving up their right to fair sports or safe spaces. It's not being progressive dear. It's making fooling some feminists and pressuring others to move in secondary in their own realm.

So what if the trans gendered guy lost to same woman previously. I bet many normal men will lose to her too if they do not have enough practice. Many trained women will beat up men in male sports as long as men they faced didn't know proper technique and training or were caught by surprise. But give similar training and after a point male body physique will give them natural advantage.This kind of arguments should be saved for twitter. They work in coffee klatch where people are not thinking it through, just supporting a sister for likes.

It's not like the transgenders mean to hurt or upset nor harass the women. I would say that it's the government's problem for allowing such things. The transgender just wanted to run her/his race, which he had done on multiple occasions and lost to the same woman that is complaining... and the government can't refuse him/her. They either place them on the woman's team, or the man's team. If on the man's team, the transgender would most likely lose constantly because of their hormone changes. But that is okay and fair? Yeah, I think women should only have to face woman. In simpler times it was like that. However, now there are trasngenders and in some circumstances (except when the trasngendered has lost multiple times to that same woman apparently) it is unfair.

Also, it's in the article that the law was changed so that men don't need to have full body change. It use to be like that but they changed it, and probably for good reason, because that is a VERY hard process to go through and not even trasngendered or gay person wants to. Many don't. I was replying to Michelle's post about that one. They said they think that they're gender playing just for a win, in which I perceived as he was just participating in the women's team just to win and not because he is genuinely transgender. So I was telling them that the way he speaks, writes and presents himself, it is clear he is not pretending. And yeah, honestly, in some cases, females have wanted to be on male teams just because they didn't want that segregation and because of the sport availability. There have been many cases here in the U.S of girls protesting to be on the male sport teams. There is even a movie created off a real life case "The Longshots" where the girl wants to be on the male football team.

If the man had won 10 first places in a row, I would understand it being unfair. He won a single race and lost many prior. And I'm not sure how many others he has won, but if it was a good amount, it would have been posted in the article.

Girl wanting to be on the male football team is her putting herself at a disadvantage not others. They usually only try when there is no female team playing or is not good enough for their level. And they can make it to any event in a male team, only if they can not only keep up but perform better.

Our school always invited hockey team from a neighbouring boys school for practice. Their team was more noobish. They lost more than won but our coach used to say they still gave better exercise than competing within school among the same people and certain level of aggressive playing on field helped girls for state level tournaments. It worked too. We had many girls who got selected in national women's team eventually.

No, that is why there are categories defined for the paralympics for example. I come from a school were deaf and even kids that were physically challenged would play football with us. Damn, i even won a school tournament with a kid called João that had major motor problems and he played as a striker. I saw him score the penalty that gave us the final victory. Freaking poetic and yes, sports are about inclusion, i lived that inclusion myself and was educated with it in my mind and in my heart.

The very fact that the transgender person is able to compete at such a level shows this. The population of transgenders compared to women? The odds of one even being there are incredibly low.

This is exactly how I see things, too. The women had not posted any issues on this transgender competitor until they had won (that I know of). When he/she won once against her, it is sudden unfair. Though, prior to that, that woman had beaten him/her in 11/12 races. Like what? Where was your issue then? Winning once is not enough to deem something unfair or unbalanced. It just tastes like salt to me :/. As a woman though, I understand the emotion and thought process behind her thoughts, but I am very acceptant I guess.

I mean, there are heavier women that compete. Taller, wider, more mass. It is not like this transgendered male is the strongest pickle in the batch. And if that's the case how is it unfair? No one cares if this transgender competes unless he wins. I know for a damn fact no one here would be upset if he didn't place.
