Inojin could've had so much potential

In my opinion, Ino herself really did have a lot of potential, being the heir of the Yamanaka clan's hidden jutsu. It's just that she just had bad development, being limited to only a few jutsus in her arsenal. She didnt even have that puppet mind-transfer technique that Fuu had and was anbu-level.

Now Ino's problem is really her survivability because she needs someone to give her a clear shot for her jutsu to land on someone. She needs a "tank" so to say. But Inojin does not lack in this because he can have his drawings fill in to the Chocho aspect (the "muscle") and then use another drawing to bind/catch the enemy and not need Shikadai. And after that, gets a clear shot for mind transfer. Or even the mind destruction jutsu alone seems broken. Idk.

true but i wont lose hope about it yet. i think all inojin really lacks is motivation

I could see how that would be useful. We might actually see it happening, when push comes to shuv even the weaklings show progression. Choji himself was very weak at one point but became extraordinarily strong during the course of the war.

Pinning this on Inojin, he might discover this potential when he gets to serious training for a greater evil that's coming and perhaps he'll do even better than we expect of him. Sai is still around and wouldn't be reluctant training him one or two things and Ino wouldn't say no either. So he's got two of them, who will train him if he just asks them to.

We can only hope that the anime fills in the blanks the manga leaves.

Chocho for instance hasn't had a flesh of display in the manga, but in the anime she's got her own arc from which we at least got a clue to how much of her powers she can harness currently.

So if the manga doesn't flesh them out, the anime might. But then even so, for a very long time it had a tunnel vision on two to three characters and left out the side characters. But if Chocho can get her own developmental arc, so can Inojin.

Exactly! If it could be done with a puppet, it can be done with a drawing, somehow. And Inojin can even have drawings watch over his body while he's out

Kakashi is special because he's not a side character and a guide for the protagnist (sensei) so he's gonna get his development. Not to mention his ties with Obito.

Itachi is the same, he's connected to Sasuke and Naruto


The villains are self-explanatory.


Everyone else is literally there to die, reproduce, fill panels or be used a jobber.

He's probably referring to Choji's giant contributions (pun intended) in the war with successes like stalling the gedo mazo if not straight out pulverize it and handling his father who died a really strong old geezer.

Shimamaru also got some uphill development commencing from defeating Hidan to showing great leadership skills in the war.

I also thought they should have gave him something new. He's drawing in colored ink they should have had those drawings correlate to the chakra natures i.e. red dogs would run and bite the enemy then catch fire etc.
