If Argentina still can make it to the next round I think this year WC still not the year of new champion but still the year of Past and Present Champions. So sorry Belgium, Croatia, Portugal. I believe in my words.

Aaaaaand we've had the first 0-0 of the tournament, to think France and Denmark would cause it, sigh...
That aside, I nailed my Peru prediction more or less, I was certain of 0-1 or 0-2 in that game, and I also nailed Iceland 1-2 Croatia, just too bad France and Nigeria robbed me of money today (especially considering I had France up for an easy win and Nigeria H or Draw, which in itself is a double chance of claiming it), fudge!!

Damn it Argentina!! Dammit! I mean, in all honesty I don't think Nigeria should have had a second penalty, buuuut... The referees needs to be in sync, you absolutely can't blow a penalty for Iran against Portugal and then don't do it here, the exact same situation just that one came off an opposition player's head while the other came of a player's own, if those two stupid refs had changed games, Portugal would have won their game and their group and Argentina would be going home! WHAT ARE THE BLOODY CHANCES!!! I would have been rich if those two refs changed games and made the same calls, aaaaaaarrrrrrgh! I bloody hate this World Cup betting wise, it's all fucked up I tell you!

Well... Maybe it is fate that favored Argentina and was against Portugal in those two situations, maybe there's a plan... A plan that somehow, Argentina will beat France, and Portugal will beat Uruguay, and then... Then we'll have the game of the Century, the one match to finally decide the true GOAT... Yes... Maybe that is the reason, it has to be... Ronaldo will score a hattrick and send Messi into retirement 2.0! You heard it here first!! :rolleyes: :cool: xd

Today and tomorrow prediction;

Brazil 3-0 Serbia

Germany 10-0 South Korea
Lmfao, not going to happen. If it was a Friendly or some other World Cup I wouldn't be shocked but this World Cup seems to be against big teams winning big over the very small teams. I'll say;

South Korea 0-3 Germany

Mexico 2-2 Sweden (or 2-1 or 1-2, I feel this one is hard to predict really)

Serbia 0-3 Brasil (why not, even though I have no fate in neither Germany or Brasil to pull off big wins today, probably going to end 1-0 in their favors in both their games, lol)

Switzerland 2-1 Costa Rica

Lol, I have just rewatched it. Apparently he didn't gave the Nigeria one because Rojo himself headed the ball into his hand, which makes it involuntary, and it was too close that he had no chance of taking his hand away from the ball. In Portugal's case the header came from the opposition player.

Bold - That's what I said, lol. Underline - But in both situations, the head and the arm was like half a meter from each other, and in both cases, VAR was used. In fact, this is the first time as I can remember that the referee went to look at the VAR and didn't give a penalty in this entire tournament, they've always given it when consulting VAR so far as I can recall. But yeah, normally I agree that neither should be a penalty but since one gave and the other didn't, they should have swapped games! Lady luck is on Messi's shoulders now, only to abandon him against Portugal in the Quarter Final, lol.

Also Spain just jumped to being World Cup winners favorites on Unibet, simply because they have an easy route to the final now, so in either case, if Portugal goes out, Spain should have a fair chance at winning it. If only Portugal came first!... But alas, they already had the easy route in the Euro so I suppose it's all fair...

I'm too tired I must've missed it lmao.
Oh, and apparently the Portugal player didn't jump, unlike the argentine one, so he had no reason for stretching his arms, whereas a player can't jump with closed arms, so he involuntarily touched it.

And I agree with that VAR thing. It was weird.

What the hell was wrong with Germany? They actually could have kicked Mexico out if they just scored a single goal, which shouldn't have been that particularly hard against Korea. Instead they were shooting everywhere except on the goal .-.

It's almost poetic that they conceded two goals because one of their own kicked the ball to a Korean, voiding the offside, and Neuer decided to play striker. End of a generation.

Germany self-destructed.

Absolutely spot on! I had a feeling at half time so I threw in a Live bet for S. Korea to win and my oh my did they win, talk about cutting my loses and turning it into profit, lol.

Still this is the 4th time in a row that reigning World Cup Champions goes out in the Group Stage, crazy!
What a cup bomb, my god. This World Cup has everything! Now I'm not even sure Brazil will take it, we shall see...

Joachim Low has done his best for Germany in two editions of World Cup (2010, 2014) helped by some of excellent German Players at that time like Miroslave Klose, Lukas Podolski, Per Matersacker, Philip Lahm, and Bestian Swanstaiger. They reached the semi-final of 2010 WC and end it in third place. They finally won the WC in Brazil 2014 with the golden generation of Germany. Anyhow Germany squad wasnt without a luck on their side. They were lucky that Frank Lampard's goal is disallowed by referee. That goal can changes the situation of that game. In the 2014 WC final Argentina played better than Germany but luck was not on Argentina's side but Germany. So Germany wins was not really convincing and deserving. But win still a win no matter how they achieved it

But after the retirement of Germany's Golden Generation Germany has been exposed in 2016 Euro by France. They starting to showed a problem with their playing style. Eventhough they controlled most of the semi-final game against France I can see Germany squad has starting to show their lack of clinical finishing, dribbling technique and a sense of direction. Players like Muller and Ozil showing a clear decline in sharpness and vision.

So here we are, Germany is out from 2018 WC. What can I say right here is that Joachim Low cant be blame 100%. Germany players also should share the blame. Afterall they're the people who enter the field and playing. But today they were playing like a semi-pro. No techniques and no tactics. Couldn't deliver an effective dribbling at all. They were playing like a robot. I'm starting to think that Germany is suffering from inadequate talented players. The players they have now are not really as talented as Brazilian, Spanish or English players. This could be Germany future problem.
