I didn't say just one person should of tried to stop them, but it were enough people in the store to help the guy out. Dude literally got drugged out the store by his shirt by two gang memebers. while 3 people watched, They walked right pass. I can understand if they had guns, but ONE dude had a knife.

Gilgamesh: Lawful Law. Embodies the very concept of dominion. Someone like him wouldn't intervene in a mugging because he necessarily cares about good or evil, but because he doesn't want to see rabid dogs destroying his garden. At least, outside of the area he has designated for displaying rabid dogs when he wants to go see rabid dogs.
For me personally, it's not that I necessarily need to care about the other person or how they feel - it is that I am not going to permit such acts of thuggery in my society. They must be stopped, and it is incumbent upon each individual of society to uphold and extol the virtues of their society and culture. I don't need to know who is getting jumped, or why - I just need to know that I do not want such activity taking place in my society, and will do what is necessary to put a stop to it where I encounter it.
There are some things that should be left up to the law and due process to handle. There are other things that, when seconds count, the police are just minutes away - and it becomes the role of everyone who holds their culture dear to impose its laws and ethics.
