This thread makes no sense.

"Boruto, a case of artificial darkness"

Without the word "anime" there, someone could easily think that the OP is calling the character Boruto artificial darkness (like how Konan once called Obito the darkness, though not artificial).

Someone could also think that the OP meant the Boruto series as a whole (manga/anime/movie/character etc...).

It makes sense to add the word "anime" in this case and in many other cases.

"Can't wait to see Squiduard in Spongebob"

This could be ambiguous. Are you waiting to see Squiduard in the cartoon known as Spongebob, or are you waiting to see Squiduard inside of Spongebob's (the character's) body? Let it be known that Spongebob and Patrick once traveled inside of Squiduard's body using a shrinking submarine, so the latter suggestion is possible.

Like one person said though, the best thing about this thread was learning that Spongebob has a comic.

AND DENIAL!

It'd be like saying "can't wait for Squidward in Spongbob Cartoon." No one ever does it with western things, and it sounds weird.
What are you talking about? Americans do this ALL THE TIME! XD

Have you even watched an X-men or Guardians of the Galaxy or Batman film? You know how many times people say โ€œhey I canโ€™t wait until Poison Ivy or Bane or Apocalypse or Thanos, etc shows up in the sequel.โ€

This thread makes no sense and just sounds like a personal gripe with certain members of the base and their opinions to be honest.

you don't say an dog, you say a dog. s isn't a vowel or anything.
Doesn't matter though. Whether you use โ€œaโ€ or โ€œanโ€ depends on the sound of the first letter you pronounce, not the letter itself. You say โ€œaโ€ for consonant sounds and โ€œanโ€ for vowel sounds, which 's' just so happens to be

In this situation the letter s starts with a vowel sound, therefore it would be proper to say an s. The use of a or an are dependant on the initial articulation produced. If the articulated sound corresponds with a vowel sound then an would precede the word, and if it corresponds with a consonant sound then an a would precede it.

OT: People often use unnecessary add ons for emphasis of a particular.

s starts with s.
