Isn't saying the Boruto anime like saying the Spongebob cartoon? It'd make more sense to just say Boruto or Spongebob. It also sounds kind of racist like saying the Asian or the black. No one's going to mistake that sig for meaning you're happy at the thought of Ao coming in Boruto, so why add the extra words?

No, it isn't. Spongebob only really exists in one main medium in the first place whereas Boruto has a manga and an anime which run simultaneously. I don't see the problem in specifying which one you're referring to
