The 3rd Hokage was an old man as well who didn't have a fight in years either. He wouldn't have struggled against a genin team and some injured jounin. Hats off to you for the 16 years thing though.

That title wasn't something accustomed to Ao in the Naruto manga.. So i would assume it is one he got in the years after the war. Or was it retconned that he had always been called a Byakugan slayer?

Well, Hiruzen is a hokage and i'm sure he got alot practice since the village at the time wasn't as peaceful as it is now.

I seriously doubt it. Ao is a jounin he could have done the same. A title means nothing if you dont keep you skills up.
