It's not the fact of seeing her legs it's the fact that her outfit is so short there are panels that you can literally see her underwear pretty much doing panty shots
If she was wearing short pants it would be one thing karin has had that and no ones had a problem it's the clear sexualization of her character that goes past outfit even scenes how she poses and talks

This is just too short where it kinda looks appalling IMO.
There was one panel so far. And that was hardly any worse than seeing ino's stripes. They don't call it panty shot either. I don't like Ikemoto's art much but you guys over react. Yes Kishi's art would be better to avoid the issues.
Can or can't we stop paring kids?
pairings were not a big deal in the series, whether people talked about them or not
we just gotta accept the facts that if the story didn't want us to analyze/discuss pairings, they would never give us moments like these:
Your confusing things,
> Pairing fan's telling people not to talk about kids being paired up when the author(s) are doing this for us. I would understand the complaint if the Naruto series in general didn't focus on pairings at all, but we literally have a movie about romance.
I didn't care for people talking about future relationshps in Part 1 either. Why? Because of this:

Who said you shouldn't accept them? I don't recall me nor anyone else saying that these moments should be dismissed, I think said that their are much more aspects of the characters where discussing them blushing as such.

It's facile and trivial compared to the other moments we could be discussing. Again I don't think anyone's implied not to accept the fact that these characters are blushing, that would be foolish. What I'm saying is a character blushing at another character doesn't warrant a thread being made that's based on a romantic inclination that would digress a romantic relationship becuase it's not that.
No your confusing things.
I never detsted or disagreed that the author isn't paring characters or isnt processing a romantic inclination between two characters starting when they are kids becuase even a person with one eye could see that. So don't get me confused....Sarada blushing at Boruto or Boruto blushing at Sarada doesn't equate to Sarada Uzumaki or even a romantic relationship or render the attention of a love story most people give it becuase it's at the surface.
When I say "can we Stop paring children", I'm saying that there are other things worth talking about becuase the topic of their paring is transparent, repetitive and at the surface.
This is my point and I can add on to it for dayssss....

The point I'm making by saying "can we not pair children" is simply that it's been done many many times in this series and didn't anything to be up and arms about. It's bland and predictable hyping it isn't needed becuase we know the blue print.
I don't really agree. Unless people are bashing the same thing over and over again, or trying to discredit someone over a pairing -- Then I would agree. But just talking about "pairings" in general isn't repetitive or transparent. I mean every new episode or chapter adds something new to the table, where two character's relationship grows, or moves back a pace. People should be allowed to talk about it.When I say "can we Stop paring children", I'm saying that there are other things worth talking about becuase the topic of their paring is transparent, repetitive and at the surface.
Well the whole point of the discussion was that we don't know what's certain or what isn't. Hence why people have discussed just the dynamic of romance altogether for a decade. The point I'm making by saying "can we not pair children" is simply that it's been done many many times in this series and didn't anything to be up and arms about. It just looks unorthodox. Ninjas should be wearing flat shoes, and normal gear.Even in that picture though, she is just standing there. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think that is the best outfit for a ninja or a child, but that picture alone isn't so provocative. Nothing explicit is showing (no underwear, no cleavage or anything like that).
I'm not disagreeing that some of kishis art could be consider risque but do you not think in the manga this new authors overtly trying to sexualize the female characters?
Unless people are bashing the same thing over and over again, or trying to discredit someone over a pairing .
He is. But that was not the argument presented here was it?
You tell me one thing- when the American people throw outrage over the length of dresses for kids isn't it all screwed up? The cartoons have similar dresses and become model icons for them - and before someone goes on arguing character x is 13- 16 so it's ok-- hello--you find it ok for older kids to run around much shorter dresses than the younger ones? The younger ones are the problem?
Someone recently informed me that they think it's fine for older girls to run around in bra and short shorts but kids must be modestly dressed to avoid being provocative. If that's the scenario then you have serious issues on going in your country instead of worrying over Japan.
Yes Ikemoto's sense of proportion is screwed up and poses risque and better be reoved. But is this dress any longer than Saradas?

Sarada as well maybe wearing a midi over this wonderwoman costume.![]()
So let the critique be to the point and I would ask to stop stupid moralizing over skirt length.
Lol as I said it's not about skirt length to me anyways the issue is I don't look for Naruto for sexualization there's a lot of things and anime people are happy to be sexualized. It's true an aspect that we have problem with is the age if it was just the outfit most of us could get over it but it's the overtly sexualization of these characters we have a problem with which one part has to do with the age. It's true that 12 year olds might dress like this but for those of us who are older than 18 or just aren't 12 find it weird and uncomfortable to look at.
But like I said the outfit can be ignored because I trust the anime won't portray them like that the bigger issue for me is the author and artist making *** appeal a selling point for these female characters diminishes their character.
We read watch Naruto to see warriors using skill intellect and occasional light hearted humor with occasional romantic undertones. We don't want every female character in the Naruto verse trying to be sexually provocative especially sarada because we don't see it's in her character type. So it's more so story reasons we have issue with then the fact of underage characters trying to dress "revealing". It's not like were expecting the characters to be nuns but we don't like the Naruto verse being a cheap fan service series.
I even found it weird when we saw the moegis skill in the databook was flirting, it would be okay if the authors included a few characters for sexualization purposes because it's not like kishi didn't do that on occasions but for every female to be shoved in that character mold would cheapen the series as if us readers pay attention to this series for constant sexual fan service. It's demeaning to the readers and characters that many of us enjoy. I actually like sarada and don't want her to be turned to a series fan service character.

I'm sorry if this isn't the main subject of this thread but I gotta ask: Is this the correct translation of this chapter? The one I read Sumire wasn't instigating Sarada this way.
Yes. VIZ is often the most accurate one.
Well I don't get uncomfortable with kids in shorter dresses. I do however find it objectionable when they are twerking or performing pelvic thrusts etc basically blatantly sexualizing themselves.
I don't like those moves on adults anymore than on kids either but what really irks me is that those kids are not being taught that these actions are not really "cool" for public platforms. But that's just me of course.
Here in the Narutoverse they are sending kids on life threatening missions a the age of 12 or even world class shinobies. In real world, my country, you can be arrested for hiring a kid to serve food in restaurant under laws related with prohibition against child labour. So I don't compare them on real life age level that minutely either.
He is being cheeky and definitely posting them differently than Kishimoto and using angles that highlight their body like models. Not that little girls do not dress up to look little older or fashion models. But yes we can without that. Ikemoto needs to improve on his camera angle and poses for girls.
I think part of it is that you grew up with previous generation. You may still be in school but already feel like conservative and protective uncle for the new gen, now that you are aware how you stare at girls. She is not your niece though.AND Manga is directed at kids. Who may but may not be that excited as some of these people going crazy over kid's legs.
Included character for sexualization purpose??? :| :| :| Are we going to divide " good girls" and "bad girls" written for sexualization in 19th century? I don't want sexual objectified characters but I don't think much of propagating that kind of negative stereotype. Just portraying girls in normal way would do.
You forgot the Class rep whatever her name is.You must be registered for see images
One would wonder why she needed to take that posture in that situation. Let's hope it doesn't become pose competition between girls.
But
But we aren't just talking about blushing, I posted those pictures to showcase that the idea of pairings exist within the narrative of the story.I disagree and I think it's illogical to say that a female character in the continuation of Naruto blushing at a male character in the context of romance hasn't been illustrated many times over and that the usual undertone is romance. I just dead ass posted 5 manga scans of Hinata doing exactly what you posted (in 5 manga scans) of Sakura doing; If Sarada doing the same exact thing as them (many times) isn't repetitive or transparent by definition then water isn't wet.
Your starting a new argument now, I never said the opposite of what your staying. Yes! every new episode or chapter adds something new to the table, where two character's relationship grows, or moves back a pace! But that growth & development goes far beyond a romantic inclination or simple/repetitive miniscule actual penmanship of a character blushing. Again we know why their blushing at one another and we've seen it with our own eyes over 20x, their are greater noteworthy things to discuss.
To what-ever extent as long as it doesn't include bashing? That's my line. They are allowed to talk about, forget should.
But to what extent? Characters blushing at one another doesn't equate to a Mr & Mrs and in addition is redundant due to being repetitive and transparent.
