[Question] Haki forms?

So with the new chapter we have another name for haki now. I'm wondering if people from different regions just had different names for it or if there might be some differences between them all. I mean Oda's wrote haki before so why was Jinbei's named something different? Was it just the name fishmen use when referring to haki or is it a style of armament haki. I guess style would be the best word and not form, idk?

It's just COA. I think Shark Skin is a technique Jimbe uses(which involves COA) to defend against incoming attacks.

That’s true, she damn near one shot him but he was strong enough to not get cut from her blade. Looks like the sturdiest pre timeskip shichibakui has the best armament Haki of the group (second to hawk eye).

Weevil is post timeskip, I was talking about pre timeskip. If what Kizaru said is true about him being equivalent to a young whitebeard, then that would mean he solely relies on monstrous brute strength and could probably do the same thing that Big mam did when she was young.
Like break a spear from a Giants strike, one shot a giant, kill a sea king or animal with one smack and probably durable as a young yonkou too. I can't wait to see him.

I wouldn't doubt it it for sure. He possess young version yonkou strength, some luffy needed to achieve with G3 and G4. Do you think Weevil has armament haki or is he just brute strength only like young Big mam?

I'm pretty sure that that was just the name of this technique. His CoA was no different than any other CoA we've seen (I'm talking about the inherent nature of the haki, not how adept Jinbei is at it).

It's the same principle as how Luffy has an entire series of techs that require the usage of haki. The haki itself isn't different.

That makes sense but it's just that.. If he's confident in killing the remaining members of wbs crew, and the shs without haki nor a df then he has to be unbelievably strong, something we haven't seen yet

Big mam used that brute strength without haki against Jinbei. Even the Funk brother's from the dressrosa arc broke this haki covered axe without the use of haki. The unbelievable strength are mostly feats from Yonkous when they are young before they even learned haki.

Because the way Weevil was portrayed to be is like an idiot who is coordinated, even Luffy looks like a genius next to him. Making Weevil at his brain capacity to know the colors of haki and utilize a devil fruit wouldn't make much sense to me.
So at least logias can escape his wild attacks.

He does resemble oars a lot too.

But yeah I don't think he could harm a logia, but could a logia damage him? Big mom's durability without haki is insane, hell we don't even know if jinbeis attack did any damage to her it just pushed her off the boat, but elemental attacks seem to affect her. So I wonder if they'd affect weevil
