Because during the whole time Hibari was in cambia forma against Xanxus, he wasn't able to land a single hit on Xanxus. When Xanxus got serious, Hibari got hurt and nearly died. It was towards the end that he sacrificed his hand to save the watch from getting crushed, and yet he was still crushed with overwhelming skill and power.

Fixed your list with an absolute fact. Mukuro lost to hibari and hibari wasn't able to beat him. That's why he kept chasing him around everywhere. Tsuna smashes Hibari everyday of the week and this is a known fact. Don't care what you say Manga is still manga.

It took a lot of trial and error and the combined effort of almost everyone for Bermuda and his gang to be defeated. And even Bermuda admitted that it was really Reborn who he lost to. Tsuna would've gotten negged if it was just him and Bermuda present, without Reborn's counsel.

And at the time of Tsuna vs Xanxus, Hibari and the other Guardians didn't even have Vongola Gear lol but Tsuna had his Dying Will Flames. So that's such unfair logic.

Hibari never truly lost a fight. Adult Hibari stalled against Genkishi for the sake of when he younger self takes his place. And he brought Xanxus to a draw, even though Hibari didn't even use Cambio Forma and Xanxus went completely and utterly all-out because he was furious.

Hibari is like Itachi. We never saw him go 100% because he never had to. As with Tsuna, he put all of his heart, soul, and will (pun intended) into every one of his fights.

Tsuna is never beating a completely serious and bloodlusted Cambio Forma Hibari.

Tsuna was the main one out of evryeone incolved when beating Jaeger and when Tsuna when into Ulitmate Dying Will Mode he STOMPED Bermuda by himself. Granted Tsuna can't use the form by himself but when he's in it he's easily the second strongest in the verse....And guess who isn't number one? Hibari.

And? You said Hibari was always stronger and that isn't a valid excuse, Tsuna was stonger then. Adult Hibari is weaker than Tsuna at the end of the future arc let alone EoS Tsuna. While Dino states that HIBARI is weaker than Xanxus and the fight only ended in a draw because the round for that night ended, Xanxus was fine but Hibari was injured.

The last part is PURE HEADCANON. Hibari has zero portrayal or feats to put him above Tsuna.

To me, it's redundant how by the end of shonen manga/anime, the MC is the strongest character.

Not a shonen but Guts is the strongest/or one of the strongest human being since chapter 1
