IMO I think straight raw talent, like from the get go

Itachi > [Minato - Hype from Jiraiya]> Kakashi = Sasuke - Neji (Hype) >= Boruto

Potential wise it's obviously different cause Sasuke, Itachi, and Minato are the only strong one's.

For me personally I think Boruto has the talent, but since he was born in a lame generation and since he's a lame ass kid, we'll never know how much skill he would have if he was born in warfare.

Long term doesn't really matter because even Naruto, a supposed underdog, became unmatched. So meh.

If we go with the Anime stuff, Boruto has good skills with Ninjutsu, but Mitsuki had full fledged elemental natures (at powerful levels) way younger than he did, Sumire too. But I think Boruto's best feats as a kid is his Taijutsu skills.

I think what he did against Nue was top notch.

I'm really gonna be afraid when Boruto unlocks his Eye.

He's already pretty good and he doesn't have to rely on the seal either. I don't know which one is coming first, but he's essentially held back by plot right now until his KKG becomes active.

I think it might be an emotional trigger based on the slash across his eye, I can somehow see that connecting. Anyway when Boruto becomes a full fledge Dojutsu user ... Gonna be hype af.
