Mukai was a skilled 32 palm user against 9-10 year old Itachi and he didn't wife the floor with anybody. To use him to prove Hinata's worth oh you've hit a new low. 13 Year old MS Itachi and Tobito took out the Uchiha clan.
Now I will admit Itachi would've singlehandedly curbstomped the Hyuga clan until he faced Hanabi Hime who would've been forced to solo him.

Mukai was good enough in taijutsu to use 16 Palms, not 32 palms, while Hinata can use 64 Palms, meaning Hinata's taijutsu >>> Mukai's. And Mukai took out Itachi and Shisui with nothing but taijutsu until Shisui pulled out his MS, meaning Hinata would accomplish that even easier if it was Chunnin 3T Itachi or 3T Shisui.

1000 lifetimes and she still stands no chance against Itachi. 16,32,64,128 Palms make no difference to Itachi. You try to use Mukai to establish Hinata beating those 2. You forget Mukai was a skilled Anbu captain with decades of experience and a totally different personality behind him.
Hiruzen knew all the jutsu in konoha and was called the G d of shinobi yet it didn't make him any less fodder than those who knew lesser techniques.
I hope you can process all of that.

There are some wild statements on this thread
but lets make it clear Boruto can have all these techniques but this generation of kids don't have the edge need to be badass like the previous generations.

Your point? The novels aren't canon. Determining Hinata's superiority over Itachi because he was bested by a filler Hyuuga is insane.
