Actually, all you need is the byakugan and the tenseigan altar. Toneri didn't have eyes, that's why he kidnapped Hinata and took her eyes.


Plus, when you look at how the two main characters of the manga got their god like powers...

Hinata getting the tenseigan + chakra mode and keeping them, wouldn't be out of step for this series. Lol

I'd be glad to know that she would be able to float around and not trip on the ground anymore

maybe she'll trip in the air.

you could say that she would be taking tripping on a higher level at that point.

It was a retcon. But all these characters showed up when the eye was already planned. Hinata. Kinshiki. Momoshiki. Kaguya.

They all have Byakugan + Ootsutsuki Chakra, so they should all logically hace Tenseigan.

No matter how much you try to polish it a pile of turd is still a turd. That's also analogous to a why if scenario if Sakura got Rinnegan

No not at all.
It was stated that the Tenseigan requires Hyuuga Eyes and Ototsuki Chakra. Kaguya, Momoshiki and Kinshiki have no Hyuuga Eyes. Their Eyes are Kekkei Mora based while the Eyes of the Hyuuga are a Kekkei Genkai.

Hamura had two off springs. His own Ototsuki Clan and the Hyuuga Clan. So actually the only one who should have that Kind of ability is Hinata since she was given Hamura's chakra.

But I think in Hinata's case it is Plot.

It was also stated that you need a "pure" Byakugan for it. So i guess Hanabi's Byakugan was more suited.
