How Old Were You When you first saw Naruto

I was 16. I was lucky because I caught it on like the second episode when it started airing in my country.

This thread may seem a little personal, but how old where ya when ya first got into Naruto as a series, and what format was it that you saw. (did you read the manga first, or see the anime in subbed/ or dubbed.) I was just thinkin about how I first got into it watching part 1 on toonami as a 12 year old on english dubbs back in the day

Brate i first hated naruto due to its shitty german opening when it first aired in 2006 so i never watched it

I started watching at the end of Pain Arc when my brother told me its good

10 or 11, when it first premiered on Toonami.

Before that, I had watched DBZ as a kid and then some time later DBGT. After it was all over, I felt a void. Like something I really liked ended. Later on, I'd see promos on tv of Naruto soon to be aired on Toonami. So I thought I'd give it a try considering it looked very interesting. In short, Naruto filled that void and watched it for years and years to come.

Yeah, now that I think of it, even though i had watched db my whole young life Naruto did kind of fill that void.

The story goes like this:

I would bangout the last Airbender. One day I'm talking to my uncle and auntie and they tell me about a new cartoon that is better than the Avatar but they didn't remember the name. Eventually I visit them and it comes on the TV. I think it was during the chunnin exams in the forest.

Because I didn't know how episodes worked (I was like 9 or 10) I spent few months figuring out how to watch it online. I binge watched Naruto. Got onto shippuden but the first episode always cuts off from Sasuke so I thought I was watching the wrong version. I didn't see it for a few months,eventually I said let's keep watching and it all made sense. I remember I caught up with it when Sasuke fought Itachi. It was a double episode, I remember coming from school and I was so excited.

After Sasuke got his powera I was super hyped to see Bee vs Ms Sasuke. I couldn't wait so I read the manga, didn't understand much but kep reading to Danzo, finally near the Tobi vs Naruto fight I started getting the hang of reading the manga (they were not in colour. too complex for my little brain)
