Nope. Pt.1 Gaara knows how to levitate via Desert Suspension, he beats Kakashi easily, as Kakashi has nothing to remain airborne/aerial assaulting techniques.

ahan then kakashi probably loses this. In manga though he probably would have still won with some tactics. But he loses in versus match up here.

Everyone is saying that SRA Gaara can win because he can fly and Kakashi don't do aerial battles, but what is Gaara gonna do? If he comes down he dies, I doubt his aerial sand (is this even a thing?) will catch Kakashi

Gaara hovers out of kakashi's reach for starters. From there, he turns the ground to sand like he did against Kimimaro. Dessert sand burial probably takes him out.

But can he turn the ground to sand from the air?? As soon as he touches the ground Lightning Blade should end him, Lee and Sasuke could both hit Gaara so Kakashi should be able to easily. Gaara can't put up any offense here

Reread or rewatch Gaara VS Kimimaro m8. Also, SRA Gaara >>> CE Gaara.

Kakashi should be able to dodge Gaara's attacks like Kimi did and then make his way to Gaara and stab him with Raikiri before he grinds up enough sand to flood the area.

Kimimaro still got hit, and Kakashi won't have his durability and bone shields. Kakashi easily gets caught by the sand. Kakashi has no way to reach Gaara in the air.

Kimi kept his distance from Gaara while attacking which is why he got caught from underneath which lead him to being hit. Kakashi has seen Gaara fought twice so he knows how he fights so I don't see much of a reason for Kakashi to try the same. As long as Kakashi runs in to attack Gaara himself he'll be able to reach him.

Gaara has barely fought in the air in part one, the only he did was "fly" to only dodge Kimi's bones forest, before that he never tried to fly and attack against Kimi and that includes when Kimi went CS lvl 2 and was rushing in at him so I don't have much of a reason to think Gaara is likely to do such here. Even if I was to assume Gaara would do such an unlikely thing Gaara has no feats of actually flying through the air or dodging attacks to suggest that Kakashi can't simply jump and reach him.

Kakashi is faster, stronger and smarter than sasuke so there's no reason he can't compete with gaara.
