All he's done with the manga is basically sign off on it, but the anime looks like he's going to be doing what Toriyama does with Super where he is heavily involved in the story of the anime and manga. So will you give Boruto a chance? I will.

I heard that the anime is an adaption of Ikemoto's manga, the sequel, so apparently it might be filler-ish.

All we know is that it's an original story and that it is indeed an adaptation of Ikemoto's manga. We could very well see Naruto Gaiden and the One Shot being adapted before the Boruto stuff rolls around. That would give the manga more room to get ahead.

From my perspective I wouldn't put much thought into it or 'hope' in the better sense.

They have shown time and time again that the reason for this continuation is to make money. No insight on a collective story to keep Naruto going because it's interesting. Rather let's just do this because the market is still hot for them.

Cause they know damn well Naruto making a comeback 5-10 years from now might not work, so let's rip it off while they are still eager.

That's how I see it.

Canon Manga going on, so let's make an anime adaption to get money from two sources :lol

Next they'll announce another Boruto Movie that'll tie them both or some shit to draw even more money onto the scene before it ends in 5 years or so.

This is all collectively apart of a bigger cash grab scene. They are milking Naruto everywhere; plays, live action films, etc.

Soon it'll be Boruto's turn if these are successful.

I was gonna watch anyways. I knew kishi was gonna be heavily involved. Just like DBS.

The mangakas only retired because they were tired of drawing. Supervising the story of a anime is much easier and just as rewarding for a creator.

I was never not gonna give it a chance.

If the anime takes off, you can bet they make a movie. The manga isn't doing bad for a monthly release

He did say HE'S Gonna make it better than Naruto. So to me any original ideas in the anime are canon

I really don't think he's gonna be as involved as people make it out to be. How involved do people expect when he's finally making a manga he's been wanting to?

I don't think people realize how taxing doing a weekly series is. I'm glad Kishimoto is using other ways to continue his story: movies, books, another manga, and now an anime.

If it's at a minimum how he was with Naruto The Last where he did designs and looked over the final script that was written, then everyone should be satisfied

I see it as Ike's art with some other dudes story(don't know the name) continuing in kishis world with mostly kishis characters. I'm thinking they get his opinions on plot points that might tie into naruto and really not much else. That being said, I'm still gonna check it out

How so? They just say they're not animating the manga now just a original idea from the studio(Which kishi could be involved in) so we have to wait and see a 100% confirmation

The article stated that the sequel to Naruto was Ikemoto/Ukyo's Manga, and the Anime team stated they are doing their own original story on the sequel.

Basically it'll be a filler series. Just a cash grab

Kishi inclusion is very nice but i'd honestly just prefer filler at this point. New, big-scale material is very offputting to me.

Don't try to out-do Naruto Shippuden lol.

That's what they are doing apparently.

Usually anime original stories are 'filler' --- So I think they are going with the whole 'we are kids' route rather than the dark future of the Manga.
