Dude you are so rite .. very well put .. i hate talking about who would beat who and it never happened in the manga because its a pointless stailmate!!! 4th hokage vs 3 sannin .. would b a great battle but my money is on the 4th .. speed is everything in battle.. can't hit touch or trap! what you can't see!! but forget that its stupid because 3 against 1 is bad odds for even the fastest shinobi lol.

does anyone think that raikage will take back all that nasty stuff he said to naruto after he see's how strong he really is???
He should lol although I don't think he will admit it easily. I see Raikage as a person with too much pride.

You really think the Sannin would lose to Minato? I have no intention whatsoever of offending you, but remember, they're not the Sannin for nothing. Minato, for all the speed he has, is going to have to put markings on each one of them just so he can land a hit on them with his Flying Thunder God technique. That in itself is a difficult task, and don't forget, Jiraiya was Minato's teacher. He knows him better than most people out there, and that includes his abilities and whatever tricks he might try. It would be a good battle to see, but I'm going to have to say the Sannin would take this one, with difficulties of course. Tsunade, Jiraiya, Orochimaru...that's just too much to handle, perhaps even for an intelligent, powerful person like Minato. But, in the end, it's your opinion against mine, so your word is as good as mine.

1) Third War

2) Quest for the child of Prophesy

3) Spending time with chicks

4) Nagato, Konan, Yahiko parenting

5) Learning sage mode and talking with the elder frogs and spending time with them

6) Orochimaru causing him problems

if there is anyone here who you should call a teacher is kushina not jiraiya

in fact, it's jiraiya who learned from him how to use the rasengan

The Raikage's not the type to apologize. He will probably realize he was wrong while thinking about things once the war ends (if he remains alive that long), just like Ebisu when he realized it was wrong of him to think of Naruto as only the Nine-Tails' container.

Yes, Jiraiya enjoyed living that sort of life, but he teaches each of his students valuable things, including how to live as a Shinobi. He pretends not to pay attention to his students because he wants them to understand and accomplish things on their own, without having to ask for help, like Naruto when he was learning the Rasengan. He wants them to grow up, for example talking with Nagato about the subject of peace, defending that which you love, and hatred. He may not have many jutsu to teach, but he makes his students aware of life, for example opening Naruto's eyes to the immense hatred in the world. He's one of the best teachers out there, in my opinion.

Yes, he spent the little time he had to teach minato the values of life which means he didn't really know much of Minato's ability like you say he did.

You'd be surprised. How is it that, upon fighting Pain, Jiraiya clearly remembers his students from all those years back, and what each is capable of? He might put on a front of disinterest towards his students, but he cares for each and the potential hidden within them.

Are you sure you're not putting too much faith in Minato? Automatically, you eliminate Tsunade and Orochimaru just because they might be weaker than Minato, which has never been actually stated as of yet? That's surprising. You make the three Sannin seem pretty weak, to tell you the truth. I understand that Minato might have more techniques than he shows, but don't you think that's the same for Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru? How do you know that the techniques they've shown in the manga are all they know?

Yeea u rite Raikage has alot of pride.. maybe too much .. but i still respect him as a shinobi lol he amazing.
If Gaara hadn't interfered, the Raikage probably would have killed Sasuke, though at the loss of a leg or another arm. Still, A's subordinates could have healed it for him. He's an incredible Shinobi, there I have to agree with you.

Sarutobi chose Minato to be his successor, because although he wanted Orochimaru to be the Fourth, he knew that he would only use the title for his own personal gain. It had nothing to do with who was more powerful.

First of all, don't forget that the Sannin each have their own summon. That means Gamabunta (though I don't know who between Jiraiya or Minato would summon him first), Katsuyu and Manda against something else that would Minato would summon. Orochimaru has the Five Elements Seal, meaning if he struck Minato with it, Minato's chakra flow would be heavily irregular, thus preventing him from normally using his power. That's one threat; next is Tsunade's monstrous strength and her amazing healing ability - if Minato struck her with a Rasengan, I'm assuming she would recover, though probably be injured some in the process.

And now, moving on to Jiraiya - he is the one who knows Minato the best out of the three of them. He knows how to use Rasengan, Minato's own jutsu, and has knowledge about the other techniques that Minato shown during training or at some other point in time. Also, he has a vast arsenal of techniques, and although Minato is the fastest, avoiding all the attacks of Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru - that's just a little difficult, even for Minato, in my opinion.

Oro said himself he didn't want to be Hokage. I don't think one being the hokage over the other says much about their power.

Is the argument between you two whether Minato could beat each one on one or 3 on one. If it is one on one then Yes Minato will likley win. If it is 3 on one than Minato would get killed. Their 3 man team was assembled too perfectly. Their styles fit each other so well.

omg dude .. like it said oro wasnt stronger than ITACH!!! and ITACHI WASNT STRONGER THAN THE 4TH!!! 5 element seal... are u serious ?? the 4th is like the god of seals dude ... it isn't confirmed that he is the best at seals.. but he would never be cought with a stupid 5 element seal lol if anything he would use a contract seal on oro an all other three so they cant summon anything lol.

tsunade would never touch minato even with jaraiya an oro to help lol.

an jairaya would put up a good fight but i still think his student would win..

example : 3rd hokage vs. jaraiya .... jaraiya would win in my opinion
3rd hokage vs. oro ... oro would win
sasuke vs oro ... sasuke would win

the list goes on dude.

there are cases where the student doesnt get stronger than the master thoo... like
4th vs kakashi ... 4th would win

hanzo took them on an couldv'e killed them but he let them live. doesnt matter how good the 3man team was... the 4th was considered a military genious.. meaning he was great when it came to 1 vs ???? many opponents lol.

how do you know that the 4th wasn't strong enough to take J-man, tsunade and oro? have you seen minato lose to them somewhere in the manga that I didn't see? or are you just making and educated comprehension as to what might have happened. But your comment seems as if the fourth lost to the three legendary somewhere in the manga which it's not true.

I could assume this: The fourth could have still defeated the three legendary sannins and there wouldn't be a way to prove me wrong just like there wouldn't be a way to prove wrong what you say in your comment. 4th vs 3 legendary Sannins is a fight that will stay a mystery because it didn't happened in the manga. You can only assume what might happen.

I don't think the three legendary sannins utilize their full potential when they fought hanzou. I mean J-man didn't use sage mode when he fought against hanzou and oro wasn't as strong as when he was when fought the third. I don't know how strong Tsunade might have been.

J-man used his sage mode against Pain, this is how he got that far but once god realm and hell realm showed up it was already over.

Naruto got lucky that God realm powers weren't fully recover from the big blast since he didn't know that naruto would have showed up so soon. By the time god realm got his powers back his key pain corpses were already taken down.

And no, Hanzou wasn't stronger than the fourth. To be able to defeat minato one has to have special powers (time/space jutsu) and even so it would be hard to defeat him. The reason for this is that his FGT mark that he leaves in his opponent body and the way he utilizes his kunai to teleport makes him extremely dangerous. If you get marked by minato the battle will be over no matter how many jutsus you can use with hand seals because before you even think of moving your finger, you will appear stabbed just like what happened to madara. He didn't even have time to make his body tangible.
Before you try to blow a whole in my arse, I said 'if' he was basically not strong enough to take them three on
I never stated if it was in the manga because it is not, That why I said 'if'
I just wanted to hear people opinion's because I wasn't sure on it, never stated anything I said was fact

Heres my take on this, I feel Minato is more then smart enough to deal with Tsunade first, you can't heal yourself if your'e to injured, sure Tsunade is strong but her spped isn't that great he sticks a seal on her and she's done for IMO. Then its down to 2 v 1 just knowing Minato's techs doesn't mean he will be able to counter them, summons mean nothing to a contract seal, Minato would be able to remove any seal placed on him pretty fast, 5 elements seal wouldn't do much but sslow him down for a minute IF he got hit by it he would probaly see it coming. The best strategy I could see is if Minato knew the five element seal, he could place a FTG seal on Oro/Jman and get them with it which takes down another. Jman vs Minato, no summons. Minato would be pretty tired by nowbut 1 on 1 he would just have to last long enough to get a clean hit on Jman with rasengan, but thats just my opinion, it would be tough but I feel he could do it

Orochimaru tried taking Itachi's body, that was why he was defeated. The Living Corpse Reincarnation is highly vulnerable to the Sharingan's power, and that's why the things that occurred did, in that way. If they had both fought without Orochimaru's intention of making Itachi his new container, then things might have gone differently.

Also, it has never been stated that Itachi was weaker than Minato. That's an assumption, and you don't have any proof to support it. You're saying that Minato would put a Contract Seal on all the Sannin so they would not be able to call upon their respective creatures - first of all, Minato would have to put a Flying Thunder God marking on each of them so he could approach them and then put the Contract Seal on them - go back to Minato and Madara's fight, and you'll see what I mean. That takes work; it's not something Minato could do instantaneously. The only reason he managed to do this with Madara was because he struck him with a Rasengan using the second level of the Flying Thunder God technique, which gave him the time needed to put the Flying Thunder God marking, then proceed to stab Madara and put the Contract Seal on him.

You're underestimating the Sannin's strength. They are not as weak as you make them out to be that they would be defeated by Minato. Also, the only reason Sasuke won against Orochimaru was because he told his team Snake that Orochimaru was already weakened, and that was all there is to it. I would recommend you check the manga first before writing that Sasuke would defeat Orochimaru.

And if you haven't noticed, the Sannin would not fight by themselves. They would work as a team and strategize, defending each other from harm in case Minato attacks. It's like Nagato's six Pain corpses, though on a lesser level. At best, if Minato won, he'd be heavily injured; the Sannin would not go down that easily.
