Sanji was already hurt beforehand when his leg was cracked against Vergo. I'd take my leg getting cracked out being incapacitated any day. That comparison with Luffy is stupid because Luffy whipping out G4 would be the equivalent of Vergo using his FBH. A fresh Smoker got punked while a Sanji came out with a minor injury.

Law on his mind? He mentions Law after the fight. What Vergo wasn't even concerned about Law when the fight started and only mentioned him afterwards. Not being top priority =/= Not being taken seriously. I guess Pica wasn't taking Zoro seriously because he wanted to fight Luffy instead now?

It still holdS no weight because when Sanji was being 'out kicked he wasn't even using DJ.
Literally irrelevant.

Oda gave no hints during the fight that his leg broke because of his injury, therefore the injury played no role in his leg breaking.

Stop using that as a bail out excuse. Oda is the type of author to always let you know if an injury played a part or not. What about the kick simply being strong enough to crack his leg? How about that, have you ever thought that one through?

He was injured (hardly) = true.

His leg cracked because of the "injury" = not true.

It's Sanji's skin that was superficially damaged by Caesar's explosive gas(that even Usopp tanked) and skin isn't durable. His bone's toughness and leg muscles were still intact, so it shouldn't be used as an excuse how it got cracked. It'd only be possible while facing a superior leg strength which Vergo seemed to have on him.

Moreover Vergo used neither hand to hand combat nor his bamboo his nickname comes from. Even after getting sent to a wall by Sanji's diable jambe collier frite, he didn't change the leg style, actually cracked Sanji's leg with his left and Sanji barely dodging the following attack with the same leg indicating he was pressured, and continued fighting this way even after the transmission concerning Law that made him more focus on him leaving sometime afterwards forgetting Sanji as some kind of afterthought when on the other side Sanji was wondering if he would have lost if he continued

People will continue to deny this but facts are facts. In a leg style Sanji specializes in, he got the shortcoming of it. How is it impressive compared to a Smoker who at least forced Vergo to go bamboo style? Bamboo increases his defense, gives him destructive range and even his named attack only came out with his bamboo. So rather than continuously damage controlling, better wait for better feats. The best Sanji can hope for in this match for me is a draw. He isn't winning this with his current showings and especially not the bullshit i see around mid diffing Smoker. They are in the same area though, but i give the slight edge to Smoker for now

To make matters worse for Sanji, is that his strongest tech relies on burning and I'm not sure how effective that would be against a smoke logia.
Didn't even think of this before. Since Smoker is made of smoke, not sure if diable jambe would even be effective especially with his inferior haki feats, so this could be a kind of bad match-up as well

Lol no he cut him multiple times before Smoker finally hit the deck. DD one shotted Sanji which is cannon. Also Sanji is never winning this either. When Smoker had a better performance against Vergo and DD than Sanji.
There's one panel of Doflamingo slashing, blood spraying, and then we see Smoker on the ground. By all indications, it was a one-shot.

Sanji took a hit from Doflamingo, fell back, and then rushed back. One-shot=being made incapable to fight in one blow. And Sanji was able to continue fighting after that blow.

Yea my fault i was referring to the animated fight.

The difference is Smoker was literally just beaten by Vergo 10mins ago. While Sanji was in prime condition.

Sanji high diff. Better preformance again vergo overall although injuried. His fire DC os also bugger than anything smoker has shown, not to mention bypassing the logia intantgibility with smoker df wide cover range should be easy. Hell Sanji got better potrayal against doffy than a Smoker in their dressrosa fight. Not to mention Speed-wise Sanji was blitzing vergo, someone smoker was having a hard time landing a hit on.

The fight was off paneled. Smoker stood back in a few seconds after taking "oni take", he is not getting one shotted by an attack of that level.

"An attack of that level"

What attack? How do you know which attack it was?

Vergo's strongest attack dented the steel wall behind Smoker through the aftershock.

You must be registered for see images

The aftershock of Goshikito blew through a section of the palace much larger than the wall Vergo dented.

You must be registered for see images

The aftershock of Doflamingo's Five-Color Strings, one of his lesser attacks, is larger than the aftershock of Vergo's strongest attack. Not only that, but Vergo's attack went through largely unmitigated, while Doflamingo's attack was blocked, meaning the aftershock of Doflamingo's attack is less "pure" than the aftershock of Vergo's, since the former is going through opposed while the latter busted through its opposition. Even with more force going unblocked, Vergo's strongest attack produces less blowback than one of Doflamingo's lesser attacks, so it's definitely possible and likely that Doflamingo one-shot Smoker.

Did you just compare a byproduct of an attack bending an iron wall after overpowering a haki imbued weapon and defeating a navy VA with a sharp attack cutting walls? The FCS, from what we've seen couldn't even cause enough damage to M3 level (Luffy and Sanji) fighters even when they weren't properly defending against it. Vergo, on the other hand, was able to crack Sanji's leg with a casual kick. Inb4 Sanji was injured, Sanji was injured even when he was fighting Mingo. Smoker isn't going down from an attack of that level for sure. Any unbiased reader could see that the fight was off paneled.

You're not taking into account Smoker was injured. I believe he was one shotted. His cig going up in the air was a hint he was done for.

I agree though Vergo's oni take > that attack by Mingo. Cutting attacks tend to do slicing damage, but a bamboo stick denting walls is not normal by any means.

Lol @ you using Navy VA like it means something.

And yes, I did compare the byproduct of two attacks. Idk why that concept, of comparing shockwaves from two attacks, is boggling your mind to shambles.

Vergo's attack busted through Smoker's Haki and Jitte, meaning it was carrying a larger percent of its force in the shockwave than the shockwave from Doflamingo's strings due to the fact that Doffy's strings were completely halted by Law's Haki block.

If FCS was weaker than Onitake, then the shockwave it produced on the walls behind Law would have done less damage than the shockwave created by Vergo. Even if the nature of the damage (cutting vs smashing) is different, EXTENT of damage still shows the superiority.

And I ask again, how do you know it was FCS as opposed to Overheat, or Full Bright, or Athlete? You're doing nothing but guessing when you say the fight was off-paneled when the opposite is all that was indicated.

I see no reason as to why Oda choose to off panel the attack being launched other than the fact that he intended for the fight to be off paneled. I mean, whatever the attack he might have used, why would Oda choose to not to show it? It's not like just showing Smoker eat an attack going to expose Joker's fruit ability or anything.

Saying that's irrelevant is not a good answer.

Just because Oda didn't flat out say his leg broke because of that doesn't mean it was irrelevant. Oda went out of his way to show that Sanji's body at the time was much more fragile than usual. So him not emphaising that was the case doesn't mean it wasn't.....It's not rocket science.

No substantial proof for the claim, so I'm ignoring it.
