No substantial proof for the claim, so I'm ignoring it.
How would Sanji's body recover in the span of a couple hours with no medical attention, rest, or treatment? If his body was damaged enough an hour ago that a blow from Nami hurt him, then that's substantial proof that it hindered him in his fight against Smoker because the time and situations in between the two occasions isn't sufficient for his body to make any kind of recovery.

I'll admit I'm coming in blind so can you refresh me on what instance you're referring. Nami has hurt SH's before but it's typically used as a joke(like when she beats up Luffy despite not actually having haki) Is this blow from Nami a typical Nami damage gag or a legit hit?

Legit hit.

It was inaccurate to say that the punch hurt Sanji, but it made him aware of how damaged his body was.

Gotchya, yeah his body was a wreck once he got it back.
That's why vergo and sanji r really circumstantial

Sanji was damaged and holding back vergo was holding back as well

Also if u notice sanji does not fight like zoro or Luffy he does not try to tank he dodges or parties off attacks so a direct explosion with a weak willed person inside his body would def affect him I really don't understand why ppl hate sanji so much and ignore what the manga directly states in the story :|

Dude :| what are you saying riker literally just showed u proof what more you want
He showed me proof he was injured not that his leg cracked because of his injury.

Saying his leg cracked because of the injury is guaranteeing that had the exact same thing happened minus the injury it doesn't crack.

Two completely different things and Oda never dropped even a hint that his leg cracked because of his "injury".

@Riker.

Because fighting a commander for 11 hours clearly stated by nami in the middle of the squabble is comparable to one attack from Caesar, there are levels to this.

His whole body was injured and more susceptible to damage. Just because Oda doesn't directly says it;s because of that doesn't mean that's the case, do you need Oda to sppon feed you?
Yes because Oda usually does. If a specific attack was due to injury we'd know.

Nope. Injury supercedes feats. If a person is injured, and someone else defeats them in battle, then the victory is invalid because an injury prevents someone from fighting at their maximum. The only times this doesn't apply is if the injury was stated or shown to be superficial(Doflamingo with Red Hawk, Whitebeard with Squard's stab) or if the person that won went on to perform well against someone as strong or stronger than the injured person they defeated.

I love how only Sanji's team is allowed to decide whether if an attack is significant or not. An attack which Luffy shrugged off like nothing despite taking full damage from it, an attack which can't even stop Usopp from moving around is by no means a significant attack for a M3 level fighter. You guys should either admit that Sanji's endurance is as low as that of Usopp or just accept the fact that Vergo's attack was just too strong for Sanji to block casually.

As someone above mentioned, Sanji has never been a tank. He's been a character who avoids damage through evasion for the most part, so even if his endurance is lower than Usopp's, it wouldn't matter for his power because he has other means of avoiding being damaged that are better than Usopp's(not saying he does, but to drive the point across).

Nami in Sanji's body wouldn't be able to defend against the attack as well as Sanji in Sanji's body. Even Luffy opted to evade the attack and commented "That was close," as opposed to taking it head-on. It's ridiculous to dismiss it as something that didn't hurt Sanji when Oda CLEARLY SHOWED HIM COMMENTING THAT IT WAS A LOT OF DAMAGE. Just retarded.

Vergo got cheapshotted by a diable jambe attack to the head from Sanji that created some disturbances in his synapses from the rest of the fight... Seriously the excuses some people are willing to cling on to for years while not knowing it would actually be a detriment to Sanji if anything(his durability being comparable to Usopp's) is embarassing by the second.

Don't slight God Usopp. The man took down a Fishman at Arlong park and took that super heavy bat to the face. Dudes got stats.

This retardness is nowhere near the same thing as Sanji's body being shown to be severely weaker than normal. Sanji's pain isn't theoretical, it isn't assumed, it was explicitly shown. He had it when he fought Vergo. The pain is given in the manga, so it happened.

You can point out Usopp being fine all you want, but it will never change the fact that Oda took the time to draw panels all dedicated to how badly damaged Sanji's body was. It won't change that we have never seen Vergo fight Sanji while Sanji was at 100%, which invalidates whatever powerscaling or feats Vergo "accomplished" during the fight.
