I feel like third person lets you describe your character better and keeps people focused on your character rather than them thinking that might be your feelings or words (even though they might be anyway but that's besides the point). On the contrary to one of your statement, I believe 3rd person lets you dig deeper with your character traits and personality. The character is not supposed to be you, when you are OOC describing something, why would you say "I do such and such"? Nah nah. "She or he does such and such". Compare the two,
"As I become more red in the face from the sheer anger from a partner's betrayal, I weave a single handseal and blow fire from my mouth, lightning the traitor on fire instantaneously."
"As she became more red in the face from the sheer anger from a partner's betrayal, she weaved a single handseal and blew fire from her mouth, lightning the traitor on fire instantaneously."
You don't think 3rd person sounds better connected and also, I like using past tense a lot. Like I have already done it rather then present tense. But I don't know. That is just me.I will always feel like if I use 1st person I am describing me or showing people my actions rather than my character's.
