1st person vs 3rd person roleplaying

I feel third person allows one to see the full story, but first person is more personalized I guess.

I do first person roleplaying because it's more intimate, and allows me to much more successfully manipulate my opponent' emotions and psyche. It's very much different describing a torture in third person, because it's detached, than throwing around expressions like you.
