Why does Water conduct Electricity in Naruto?

You do realise that you're applying science to a manga where people float on mid-air and push air through their legs to move up, where People who can perform genetic engineering at least 150 years advanced than current Medical sciences? :|

Something as simplistic as water conducting electricity is still confined to a process that involves real world logics. Science-fiction goes into theoretical science and justifies almost everything that occurs through hypothetical scientific standpoint. But this isn't justifiable by any means of real world logic, science fiction logic or even Narutoverse logic. Electricity simply cannot conduct through pure water. Well, at least not enough for water to work in collaboration with lightning during attacks.
