Then why do you keep coming back to the thread and why do you keep trying to start new conversations with me on every page?
How's that new when you keep talking about it for last 5-6 pages :lmao: bloody hell you are making drama out of nothing...you are just being pathetic now.First you try to post a panel then I prove you wrong then you ignore my post and then you start something else which is the same lvl of BS like everything you said in this thread.

Ira Just lock this thread, you are getting more and more pathetic it's even horrible for myself to see this.

Whenever I stop replying to you, you post with my name in your mouth again. You've done it tons of times in this thread xD No one cares about the thread and you want it to end, and yet you keep coming back to talk to me when I stop talking to you. Yeah, and I'm pathetic.

I wanted to do it yesterday to bad I went to sleep and then I woke up to see more bullshit...even for myself this is painful to see how much can a guy get pathetic over something obvious af.

Ira just lock this thread and don't make him being more pathetic.Pathetic will get a whole new meaning then.

Even an idiot would get what people are saying in these 39 pages.

What the hell are you talking about? Usopp never took over the ship. The ship sank because of the damage it took over the entire voyage up to Water 7, where Luffy led it. By this BS logic, Luffy shouldn't be captain either since it was the voyage HE was leading that led to Merry sinking.
You and me as readers realized the condition of the ship along with Luffy and rest of SH but not Usopp.

Usopp believed he was fit to be a captain- he repeatedly tried to make the claim. He was not asking to be a V/C but that Luffy hand the ship over to him whether Luffy was permanently incapacitated or not.

He still thought he was fit for voyage and he could keep it. He fought for it and was the owner when it sank. So it's on his head.

Thousand Sunny is not Going Merry.

It's funny how you're chastising Usopp for "waiting for the captain to sink so he can take over" when he and Luffy first join up, but you conveniently forget that Zoro said he'd kill Luffy after he first joined up with Zoro.
Zoro still wasn't eying his position was he?

Usopp left SH officially and still thought they would beg him to get back on Thousand Sunny. He might have started old BS again if that happened. Luffy clearly had said ok first time around just in a light good natured way to stop his pestering, but even if you take it as a serious and binding promise- it doesn't stand anymore. Zoro made sure that it doesn't happen again.

Zoro forced him to realize that his stunts and conditions won't be accepted. So this time around Usopp is back because he asked to be taken back but all the conditions from the last "contract"/"promise", (regardless of the fact whether it was serious or not) do not hold anymore as it had ended when he left officially by his own will.

If Usopp can't be first mate because of that, then Zoro can't be first mate because he threatened Luffy's life.
Luffy still got him on board and Zoro went furthest in saving him since. If Luffy thinks it's worth the risk then I don't see why should I have an issue with it.

So I am going to disagree. Can you agree to that and move on?

Usopp realized what was wrong with the ship. He didn't want to give up the ship because he was projecting his own feelings onto the boat. Just prior to that, the Franky Family beat him down, and he was feeling broken and useless. The reason he was so against giving up the Merry was because, like the Merry was, he thought he was useless to the crew. The crew deciding to throw the Merry away caused him to think that they would do the same to him once they realized how weak he was. It's not Usopp's fault you couldn't see past the trees.

Usopp believed he was fit to be a captain- he repeatedly tried to make the claim. He was not asking to be a V/C but that Luffy hand the ship over to him whether Luffy was permanently incapacitated or not.
Nope. He said ONCE that he would be captain, and Luffy shot it down. He then asked if he could be captain if anything happened to Luffy, and Luffy said sure. Other than, the only other time he called himself captain was when he was blatantly lying.

He still thought he was fit for voyage and he could keep it. He fought for it and was the owner when it sank. So it's on his head.
It's on the head of all of them. It was their collective voyage that destroyed the Merry.
Thousand Sunny is not Going Merry.

Zoro has made snide comments about taking Luffy's position before. Also, I'm pretty sure threatening to kill Luffy is just as bad as eyeing his position.

Usopp left SH officially and still thought they would beg him to get back on Thousand Sunny. He might have started old BS again if that happened. Luffy clearly had said ok first time around just in a light good nature way to stop his pestering but even if you take it as a serious and binding promise- it doesn't stand anymore. Who gives a shit? The point isn't that Usopp has it now, the point is that Usopp had it period while Zoro never did.

Luffy still got him on board and Zoro went furthest in saving him.
LOL what? Usopp has saved Luffy's life twice just as well as Zoro ever has. Do I need to link him motivating Luffy to stand up as well as the pages of him saving Luffy's life from Sugar?

So I am going to disagree.
Well now I'm confused as to what we've been doing so far.
Can you agree to that and move on?
Nope, I like debating. You're free to not reply if you don't want to.

You are not debating. You are just arguing for the sake of it. It's been repetitive for several pages now and your points have been replied by others. So.. yea.
That's what debating is. I don't care if any of you change your opinions, I like the challenge of refuting arguments. If you feel done with it, don't reply anymore.

That's the plan. ^^

Maybe someone should make a thread how far Usopp has come since and whether he has performed better or worse. At least it will be a different debate. ( or how far all or other characters have developed in personality since if someone wants to)

I don't know why people try to overlook this as if it was no big deal. I doubt Usopp would do something that brave.
He challenged Rob Lucci to a fight in order to draw him away from Luffy, something that was guaranteed death. Lucci was about to actually fly up to him and engage him too.

He declared war against the entire World Government. You know, the thing with a military going hundreds of thousands strong.

He chose death when Kuma gave them the ultimatum between giving up Luffy's life, or their own.

If you are talking about Riker I think he is practicing his debating skills and doesn't necessarily believe everything he says- not in literal sense. At least I'm not sure.

Some other probably just like some other character better and don't like him hogging the lime light.

No, I believe what I say. I wouldn't say it if it weren't true.
