Tsunades strength has nothing to do with her beating Ay or Gai (She can't beat either)

And u missed the point again, you posted base Ay's punch as if that would secure him a win against Gai or if speed were irrelevant. So I posted Tsunades base strength using the same logic that you posted, "if base strength" was the determining factor then she wins without a doubt.

2 Gai needs to go all out to beat Ay because again, he can't touch him unless he goes all 8

If Ay uses his shroud he isn't touching him unless he goes all 8.

The impact of his hits ins't the issue, it's speed. Whether or not he can hurt JJ Madara doesn't mean that he can't react to 7th gate gai. 6 gate is no contest. as Sensei Sama said lightening is faster than sound. He'll dodge all of his 6th gate attacks

Gai wasn't just battling durability, he was battling Kisame's Water Realse which is not as indicative as Ay's speed or lighting Realse but I'll dial back (just read through manga) but 6 gates against Ay is an overkill in my opinion.

I think thats the best way they could have shown that so that's what they chose, the first panel shows forming, and the second panel shows him moving before its done forming on him, it's a lot easier to see in the anime, still drawings are kinda hard to convey the speed their trying to show without him just disappearing altogether
