Umibozu was not doing jack shit, he wasnt even introduced. What you are saying is exactly what I was referring to. Bleach does it all the time, I call it false events. Events that were not hinted at or shown, and then upon introduction of that character, the author adds the details of the events later.

This is completely different from what Oda does. That is Kubo level writing.

Getting closer to becoming the PK has everything to do with getting closer to Raftel (New World), and getting stronger (being able to fight off anything that stands in your way). No it's just that in every battle manga getting stronger is a nesscity thus you cannot count it as plotprogression, though I'll give you gettin closer to raffle(not even close with the four poneglyph one in zou and others owned b yonko) but either way the V.S yonko saga expanded alot on the plot, but aside from getting closer to the place of the treasure(which is only a secondary goal coming right after becoming the pk), the title itself is barely any closer than it was back in east

Irrelevant to the point. He was brought into the series, introduced as a mystery, and then finally touched back up on many chapters later. There is no out of the ass, "he's been there since the beginning" experience.

The entire point for having him show up in loguetown was for the purpose of explaining the situation later on, and him existing and doing things in the verse was confirmed by his initial appearance, so we can say Oda did not just create him on the spot when he was actually introduced formally.

Its probably closer than you think, but why does it matter if getting stronger is granted? I'm not trying to prove to you OP is oh so special or amazing with plot progression lol, I think you have the wrong impression here.

I don´t like anime, so manga for me.

While I know better stuff than One Piece, at the end of the day I am still looking forward to it the most. It´s like a marriage compared to a summer fling, you just know it´s the one for you. So yeah, it´s the best for me, even though it has its faults.
