Life is a collection of biomatter, and the Universe doesn't have any inherent "truth", at least not in the way your question implied.
Then I'll ask you the simple question: Is this universe the only one

... no offence, but you do realise there are different understandings of the Bible (especially the Genesis). One's understanding doesn't have to be at odds with the single origin theories. Even if it was, my point wasn't that knowledge will always support faith. My point is that the concepts of knowing and believing aren't at odds.
A good example to counter your argument is asking a Bio technician with 100% faith on the bible if he believes we are all connected genetically to Noah(a supposedly Aramaic guy) yet his results of mitochondrial DNA will point origins to Africa![]()
That's just down to cultural background. Of course you're going to see more people turn out Muslims in a country where the dominant religion is Islam. Cultural Background, how they were raised, ect, is still part of who that person is.Your explanation to "choice". You're saying religion depends on your self yet that's almost an illusion.
Because a kid born and died in Saudi Arabia for example will 99.9% of times become a Muslim

Atheist, because no religion satisfied my standards of proof. That's the only reason anyone ever became an Atheist, after all.
Umm I didn't say it depends on yourself. I said that if one is opt to thinking (able to think for himself) he will ultimatively decide for himself.Your explanation to "choice". You're saying religion depends on your self yet that's almost an illusion.

Well there are more than those. I'd know, my best friend is a communist. xdThe most of the people I know abandoned religion for the problem of evil, or because it's trendy to say "religion is outdated, let's go scientistic"
That is a product "Mob Mentality" it is a basic function of Human behavior. If you see a Majority of people doing something then you will be MORE LIKELY to do it too. Not for any good reason besides your natural inclination to be "Normal" and "Fit in".Your explanation to "choice". You're saying religion depends on your self yet that's almost an illusion.

That's why my question is: "WHO CHOSE IT FOR YOU", This question is hidden and 80% directed to the defenders of a religion they never even chose them selvesThat's just down to cultural background. Of course you're going to see more people turn out Muslims in a country where the dominant religion is Islam. Cultural Background, how they were raised, ect, is still part of who that person is.
There's still no reason to turn to the pages of a thousand year old book written in a desert for answers, at least in my opinion.
I abandoned religion for the same reason and went to science, HOWEVER instead of helping studying our universe. Science's so called "proofs" have turned into mathematical fantasies where a man sees a possibility of an existence in maths with no counter equation he already sets it as a reality!
My point exactly :sdo:That is a product "Mob Mentality" it is a basic function of Human behavior. If you see a Majority of people doing something then you will be MORE LIKELY to do it too. Not for any good reason besides your natural inclination to be "Normal" and "Fit in".
So yes. Some people's choice of religion is a product of Mob Mentality.
I know, I've had my communist period too xd but I never accused religion of anything, at the light of what happened after Marx's publicationsWell there are more than those. I'd know, my best friend is a communist. xd
You're a fascist. :3I know, I've had my communist period too xd but I never accused religion of anything, at the light of what happened after Marx's publications
I don't believe there is a conflict between science and religion. It exist a conflict between scientism and fundamentalism, but not every scientist is a materialist and not every religious is a young-earth creationist.

Lmao the past years all my friends told me that, just bcuz I'm a Putin fanboyYou're a fascist. :3
There's nothing that angered me more than the multiverse shit! It made me feel powerless, I immediately stopped doing Astrophysics as a major and just do plain simple maths and CS.There's still no reason to turn to the pages of a thousand year old book written in a desert for answers, at least in my opinion.
Maybe.
Then I'll ask you the simple question: Is this universe the only one
Well that's just too naïve. You're playing the Mr nice guy card :|I don't believe there is a conflict between science and religion. It exist a conflict between scientism and fundamentalism, but not every scientist is a materialist and not every religious is a young-earth creationist.
If you don't believe that, I would suggest you to check the works or the debates of the first class apologists.
I'm sorry but statements like these render your statement of being well-versed in religion false.Well that's just too naïve. You're playing the Mr nice guy card :|
Saying there was a Man with power to create all from nothing shatters all scientific beliefs of entropy and thermodynamics. E.g Methuselah lived over a 1000 years(Noah's Great grand father) That's just plain scientifically impossible
Science, by definition, studies the ordinary course of the nature. Things like Creation are not ordinary, but both extraordinary and metaphysic.Well that's just too naïve. You're playing the Mr nice guy card :|
