Never need to apolgoize for late replies or anything^^. I should be the one apologizing lol.Sorry for the late reply. RL issues have been my primary focus lately.
I don't know much about this technique, other than it is used incorrectly quite often. With it being an omnidirectional technique (or a full body release, as I like to call it) it would be great for getting out of genjutsu. The surge of chakra throughout the body would disrupt the chakra enough to release you from the illusion, which may prove as an interesting counter as some genjutsu require you to come within short range afterward. I'm a little weary of the negating effects of the technique when it comes to earth. This is primarily because the technique is unfocused, so if you have a technique that sprouts from numerous locations (such as Stone Spikes), I don't see this technique being both wide spread and concentrated enough to take out all of them at once. I don't know much about its uses with weapons, but paralyzing your foe in the midst of a sword fight puts you in a great position.
Yes this is indeed a very typical technique allowing you to release from illusions. Perhaps the staple full body surge. This can release B-Rank and lower illusions.
Now, let's talk about that. You're definitely right. Being unfocused it possesses absolutely no destructive qualities. It can't rip the earth apart. It can't destroy a slab of earth. Now, let's say you release this into the earth by channeling it into the ground as an earthen spike rises up to skewer you. Instead of destroying the spike it will instead simply stop the spike from moving. It in essence overpowers the chakra being used to cause the spike to erupt from the earth. So as long as it doesn't hit you and you stop the technique then you're fine. Always respect elemental weaknesses and strengths with this. Now if someone launches a rock at you and you try to use this to stop the rock in mid-air that will obviously not work and the rock will simply hit you anyway (albeit it will lose its ranked strength).
Does that make sense? Don't be afraid to ask any questions you may have.
