That's kind of how I expected it to be, tbh, I'm still going to watch it eventually (although overly gritty/edgy things aren't my cup of tea, I much more prefer it when the dark stuff is subtle).

It might be like with the Arkham Knight games where Batman sticks a guy's head in an electric box and it doesn't kill him. Even though he should be dead. Creators weren't taking physics into account.

If one of the biggest movies of all time is getting "meh," "okay," 5/10, then yes, it is negative. It is a bad sign. All the reviews I've read have more cons than pros. Again, hope we are wrong.

Yeah, for the most part I've been hearing that it is competently made and acted, but narrative wise it is a bit of a mess. A beautiful mess.

I hope the critics are wrong, but when the movie is negative by a lot of people, which is it so far, then it isn't fanboys anymore. This isn't a Marvel vs DC thing ever. We all want good movies. Everyone does. If somebody really wants a movie to fail, then they suck.

Most of the reviews are just bashing the movie for not having enough humour and being a "drag". I haven't read them all, cuz I don't want spoilers, but so far all I've seen were retarded.

Even if I were to go along with this, there is no way in hell the movie is worse than Fantastic 4 or Twilight. (Which is what the mob-ratings suggest.)

And don't pull the "lot of people" card since other pages like IMDb and RollingStones gave it a 4/5 - 9/10. Besides, official critics conceus hasn't made their voice yet, and the pro critics that did actually complimented the movie loud and clear.

I follow both DC and Marvel and love their movies, the thing I have a problem with is collective bashing without any good reason, but again I'll have to see the movie first (will do it tonight) so don't link me anything that would spoil me.

Same. I thought it'd be a bit diverse, some problems, but it is getting destroyed. Feels weird.

I both love and hate Iron Man 3. Very, very fun movie, but I HATE what they did to The Mandarin. That was...sad.

What did they do to the Mandarin? Have him hide in the shadows and have an imposter play him publicly oh the horror.

so you judge a movie before you even see it because it isn't humorous or colorful enough? The Dark knight has absolutely no humor and is sitting at the fourth place on imdb right now

Not really. You have to remember that is the percentage of critics that gave it a positive review. Mixed reviews don't count and that is what the average rating with a 5.4/10.

His films seem to be either like em or hate em. I've enjoyed most of his works, wasn't a fan of man of steel though. More often than not the ones I hear saying they dislike his stuff are the ones who I find take themselves too seriously and dislike most things for not being "sophisticated"

No idea about Dawn of the dead, but watchmen and sucker punch were boring with watchmen seemed edgy and wannabe imo. 300 however was good.

The thing about snyder is that his movies are visually appealing but bad at story telling, MoS was OK. Generally snyder is "Wouldn't change channel if was on TV" tier, unlike Nolan when I hear snyder's name my first instinct is to be pessimist since expecting something like The dark knightvfrom him is asking to be disappointed.
