How is Gaara sand useless to Neji defense? Neji getting past Gaara defense isn't happening. Rotation is useless when sand can get him from underground.

We're talking about the rotation Naruto punched through. He can just keep piling sand on top of it.

Neji is likely fast enough to pass Gaara's sand shield, and from what we know he can be able to drain sand waves from chakra with Juuken. Also, he showed us he can deal with armored people in the fight with Kidomario

How many distance will he keep? Assuming that the fight would take place at Chuunin exams they would start very closely. For Neji this is a luck since he's specialized in close combat and he's enough fast to reach Gaara's body without getting crushed by sand. And if he gets attacked by sand, his Gentle Fist can block the attack via chakra draining.
Also, what does it change that Lee uses more kick-punch combos? Neji can use kicks too, if you were supposing the opposite, they just have a different style of combat. And Lee's is not superior than Neji's at all just because it's crazier, since if it was so Lee wouldn't get his ass kicked (well, another example of Neji using kicks) so many times by the Byakugan genius

Gaara wins, after gaara was getting beat down via speed, he used sand dome which sasuke bypassed with chidori (lightning > earth) neji does'nt have that, and the sand dome has spikes that restricts one from punching it, gaara can use sand shuriken and outlast neji (neji would need to block with kaiten which would drain his chakra, and sand tsunami will be a pain in the ass

Sand shuriken can't and won't be the method that gaara will use to outlast neji as he was dodging rain in amountss of kunai/spiders and webs coming from all possible angles , gaara's frontal sand shurikens won't force a kaiten from this guy not to mention that neji's smarts and Intel on gaara from his fight will surely let him kno that using kaiten would be a disadvantage for him.

Every move gaara displayed in the CE gets evaded neg diff and can easily be blocked by the first stage of kaiten.
In the end tho I really can't see neji beating him.

Well yea I thought bout it, if neji is as fast as weightless lee (which he should) that means he can avoid the sand but he can't really hit gaara and sand tsunami will be hard to deal with as it has a large aoe

Yea , but neji can't be as fast as weightless Lee as Lee has been working his ass off around the clock to attain such speeds tho a case can be argued that with neji's prodigious aptitude like sasuke and cqc dominant fighting style his speed should be >=weighted Lee >>>>forest of death sasuke as his data book stats and small speed feats in the CE suggest.

Neji has no problem predicting the sand with his byakugan and or stopping the sand from grabbing his limbs or sangwedgin him , using his ability to release or blast chakra from all his points.
The only issue is if neji's jyuken chakra can affect the chakra channeled in gaara's gourd sand which makes it harder , faster etc. Could neji add a large amount of chakra into his strike and destabilize the sands chakra making it softer and passable kinda like this?

Sand tsunami is a move used by SRA Gaara and with the aid of added sand he harvested from the ground.
Neji has already beaten weightless lee, as lee said the gates was a trump card to beat neji, meaning he already tried beating neji without the weights and got beaten, and neji was blitzing and dodging naruto's attack, naruto had to draw chakra from kyuubi to match neji so I think he is at lee without weights level in speed, but you can't beat gaara with just taijutsu as guy stated

Taijutsu won't really beat him unless one packs alooot of power behind their attacks, and neji won't get to hit gaara's chakra network while he is shielded
