I've actually commented this quote to you in another thread but you never replied to it so to save me some time here you go:
"dragon ball was an overrated piece of crap with random villains with no backstory and no complex issues to be tackled...no story and little to no plot other than random space villain #10 to fight...dragon ball was a shit manga with no character developement outside of vegeta and piccolo and it was retcon galore and overpower city with no strategy or excitement...though I will give it credit for being the great first draft to the stepping stones of superior series such as naruto and one piece and hunter x hunter"...
^^^ also the fights were utterly boring and lacked suspence with boring pacing...lololololol this is not an opinion
Let me tell you what writing is. Its basically communicating thoughts feelings ECT to an audience. So all that you do in determining good writing from bad is see how well those feelings, thoughts ect where communicated.
DB's writing style is so ****ing basic and simple its pretty much impossible to **** up and write badly.
Its a series which plot consist of stopping the baddy from destroying the world, its a traditional old style way of telling stories that's been around since ****ing ancient roman times. More recently it's been commonly used in comic books. You can't **** it up. And it wasn't ****ed up it was written perfectly
The only way to judge dragon ball writing wise is to judge what is presented and what is presented is a classic traditional save the world story with martial arts style action. The characters don't need personal struggles as the strugles within the series come from stopping the villains, yet there are some characters with personal struggles vegeta for example struggles with chosing between his saiyan pride and family in the early buy saga. There are more but that irrelevant. It doesn't fail because it wasn't deep or complex as that's not the ****ing point not every story is trying to be deep or complex.
Its not badly written period. Its so basic its not even easy to **** up. There are minor inconsistencies in the story, but they are very minor and overall dont keep the audience from understanding it. Nothing you mentioned is a real flaw with its writing just a nitpick. But you are flat out wrong about the villains they all have backstorys and we know where they all come from.
Don't argue this with me its not debatable. Now in terms of how you personally feel about you can say its shit all you want but stop trying to shove your opinion down my ****ing throat please.
