Secret Identity: Garfield "Gar" Logan

Looks: Gar is 5' 8" roughly 150lbs with a muscular lean build however due to his transformation abilities he can take on any appearance he wants changing height, weight, hair style and muscle structure. His skin complexion however is always a uniform color either Green or Red depending upon his mental state and which source he's drawing his powers from. His eyes, and hair are just a darker shade of his current skin tone. Beast Boy also has pointy ears, which he finds to be an attractive quality of himself.
Personality: Garfield tends to play the role of a lighthearted jokester often he'll play the fool both for laughs and to allow him a way to exploit opponents who underestimate him due to his personality. Though he is often the butt of many jokes or backfiring pranks himself he tends to remain playful, acting dim-witted, energetic, and often immature, granted he isn't a genius but he's not as stupid as he plays. When other's are focused on important details he is usually the first to break in with a preposterous suggestion or an unnecessary joke. Due to this, he can come off as immature, thickheaded, and cumbersome. However, he tends to prove invaluable with his kindness and battle prowess. Although he jokes most of the time, Gar can be serious when he wants to be and in a way his antics are a mask of laughter and happiness to disguise his sadness and rage at what has happened in the past and what it forced him to become in his opinion nothing but a killer. There are a few instances where he shows his true self. Garfield is also a bit of a romantic with flirtatious fantasies and can be somewhat of a pervert toward both female Superheros and Villians mixing his joking nature with a more perverted humor. He also holds within himself a feral rage interwoven with a deep remorse tied to the actions in his past.

Origin Type: Science Origins
Origin Story: As a child, Garfield Logan contracted a rare illness called Sakutia and was cured by a serum from a green monkey. This serum had the unintended effect of turning his skin and hair green and gave him the ability to change into any animal form. Later on while captured he was experimented on and his power changed slightly due to a connection to an unseen force called The Red brought on by the experimentation.

History: Garfield Logan was among hundreds of young metahumans kidnapped and held captive by the organization N.O.W.H.E.R.E., experimented on at the shadowy organizations gigantic underground base, the Colony. He was forced to participate in the annual Culling tournament, where the captives held by N.O.W.H.E.R.E. were forced to either kill or be killed for a chance at freedom. Originally he didn't fight, he tried his best to stay alive without killing, that was until the promise was made.'One hundred of the others. That's the price of you life. Take your freedom.'

N.O.W.H.E.R.E's cruelty was intolerable so he sought his way out; the Culling one hundred lives was the price for freedom. Garfield did as he was told, he fought, he killed, he saluted. Garfield was unstoppable and the day when his final fight had came he believed himself ready. One more kill, and for him it would be all over. One hundred human lives, people just like him captives experimented on he paid forward. Garfield had earned his freedom but like every champion before him he was buried beneath the Colony chained and bound. The promise of freedom was nothing but a lie. It was then that Gar decided he'd be chained no longer. Breaking his chains he went to the other captive champions speaking.

"Take your vengeance."

This was the first time his green skin turned red as he freed the other champions from their restraints gripped by a feral rage he tore through any guard who stood between him and the door. As he released them one by one they began to fight alongside him against the Colony's guards stirring up the general population. This caused a massive amount of commotion as the entire Colony began to riot reacting to this Garfield simply walked out of the front door leaving all that he had done behind him claiming his own freedom.

Description of Powers:

Terrestrial Metamorph: Beast Boy has the ability to morph into any animal he knows of. He can change into extinct animals and even animals from different planets. When he changes, it only takes a couple of seconds. It does not matter how big or small. It does not put strain on him to do this. He can stay in an animal's form indefinitely. He has changed into multiple animals such as a swarm of fireflies and a group of barnacles. The only problem is no matter what form he takes the animal's skin and hair color will always be green. Beast Boy can also change into a hybrid, which has all the animals' powers rolled into one. He has demonstrated the ability to transform into animals many times larger than their actual forms: among others, he has been seen transforming into a human-sized tarantula and a giant snake. He has also been seen transforming into mythical animals such as a phoenix and a dragon. This is thought to be just a progression of his abilities.

No matter the form he can still speak.

Beast Boy's connection to the Red is unclear and may not be tied to his genetic code however it allows him to take on stronger and more adept forms. Normal animals native to earth are easy to transform into and control. Garfield's connection to the Red allows for a genetic sense memory as well as a propensity for replication and transmutation of his own body. As well as the ability to heal himself during battle through animalistic modifications and mimicry of natural regenerative properties found in nature.
Unique Physiology: Along with his shapeshifting abilities he seems to possess a degree of heightened senses in his default human form, having hearing sensitive enough to detect a stealthily approaching enemy along with other heightened senses. He can also change his natural human form in several different ways taking on partial transformations, hybrid transformations, changing his own muscle structure, height, weight, organ structure, bone structure and any other bodily structure. Gar is also a decent actor able to fool people if needed, this comes in handy when trying to hide his inner demons.
Animal Mimicry: Beast Boy has the power to mimic the abilities of any animal he knows of while he is in their form. The ability apparently gives him intuitive understanding of the animals and what abilities they have that may be useful in the situation. In his natural form he can change the structure of his body to accomplish similar feats, while under the effects of any transformation no matter how small he is able to speak with, understand and properly communicate with wild-life.
DNA Mimicry: Beast Boy can also model his own DNA after others transforming into anyone down to the subatomic level. If his skin didn't stay oddly toned he would be able to disguise himself as anyone perfectly.​

Martial Arts: Gar is also skilled in both Wing Chun and Jeet Kun Do. This allows him to fight in his normal form on par with some of his own transformations however this doesn't compare with his stronger and more adept transformations.

Already had the multi-rank technique built. Subbed it before realizing I couldn't do C-S until I got enough EXP cut it back to a generic B rank with small and large transformations atm. No idea if it'll be approved. A boy can dream.

Technique Name: Bestial Wrath

Description: Beast Boy's core ability is Terrestial Metamorphism allowing him to transform through the modification of his own DNA or through his connection to the Red into any animal at any size relative to it's original counterpart. A very basic technique and one of the very first Beast Boy created it is in essence the ability to initiate and undergo animalistic transformations such as gaining claws, fangs, horns additional appendages such as tails, wings, limbs, organs or adopting other traits found in animals such as their vocal structure, their muscle structure, their bone structure, their nerve structure or even their organ structure. This allows for him to take on animalistic traits and gain abilities relative to the transformation Beast Boy is able to source a transformation from any species of animal including extinct, alien, single celled and even mythical in more advanced applications of the core ability, keeping to terrestrial and average animals for this base ability. Several animalistic transformations can be derived from this and in turn the user can change their body structure in several ways with a single use it is at it's lower use a passive transformation granted by simply being Beast Boy. No matter the form Gar keeps his own consciousness and conscience. To use this properly separate techniques will be made to use certain abilities and if this technique alone is used to attack it will count as something akin to advanced freeform being around the same strength.
This also allows him to augment his smell, sight and hearing to a level above others, to the point of being able to track others by these senses and preceive things other people wouldn't be able to percieve, increasing one of the senses per transformation.
While under the effect of any transformation be it animalistic or sense related Beast Boy's genetic sensory abilities are amplified exponentially due to his attunement with animals he is able to understand any animal even their motives. He's also able to know their strengths and weaknesses due to being able to transform into them. This is how he is able to know what abilities are useful and which are not. He is able to communicate and use animals as scouts or learn information from them.

Smaller transformation derived from this are passive and can be called upon nearly instantly. They are things like growing fangs, nails, hair, claws, horns additional appendages such as tails, wings, limbs and even allows for the regrowth of removed limbs. This basically allows the user to change his own body structure in his base form to better suit combat.

Larger transformations are more involved the user can change their basic senses. The user is able to further manipulate their bodily structure turning completely into an animal, or a chimeric shape comprised of several animals, but will always transform his body and organs, never create duplicates of an organ, with this base technique.

Description: Dragonbone Armor is exactly what it sounds like Beast Boy manifests bones breaking the skin and protruding them enough to create a plate-like armor reminiscent of a Stegosaurus covering any part of his body up to his entire body in these plates or growths. The armor adds +10 to his durability and if spiked allows him to create bone like weapons like blades on his hands, elbows, shoulders, knuckles and any other joints to create deep piercing damage which in turn boosts the strength the user has when used offensively giving +5 to +10 to strength however the larger the strength increase speed suffers, in direct proportion, 1:1. He is also able to if he wishes manifest solid Magnetite an organic producible metal like those found on the teeth of mollusks to further the strength of the armor. This can be used to augment any animalistic transformation. This can also be used to create magnetite nails, fangs, claws and any other sharp protuberances from his body. This is produced by creating a watery gel at a bone, nail, or tooth's centre, carbohydrate fibres then criss-cross to form a scaffold that binds positively charged ions such as magnesium and sodium. Those ions, then bind negatively charged proteins that collect iron, providing a detailed template for the growing of a dense magnetite shell. Due to his rapid transformation Beast Boy can do this nearly instantly where it would take a mullosc long parts of it's life. Magnetite itself is harder than steel and Beast Boy is able to do this because of his inherent knowledge of animal life when transforming.
This armor has the innate ability to repair and regrow itself like that of a Shark's tooth the plates replace themselves over time. This allows damage done to the armor to be negated over time through a slow healing process rebuilding and restructuring the armor. After taking damage by the end of the turn if mentioned the armor can replicate and regrow just like Shark's teeth shedding the outermost damaged layer and coming back at full power.

Beast Boy can also create quill like growths like a porcupine or a hedgehog. These too can be coated in Magnetite and can even be shot off towards an opponent like a projectile wave either in a condensed burst or an omnidirectional burst by covering the entire body in these quills. The spikes, quills, blades etc can be used in short range to augment Martial Arts usage and the quills, and spikes can be shot off like a porcupine up to Short-Mid range. Mid at max for condenced burst and Short max for omnidirectional. Any attack sourced from this ability does 50% of Beast Boy's current strength attribute modifier. Can overpower basic weapons and freeform attacks.
Note: Armor can be created thrice per battle. It last 4 turns at most each usage, and required a 1 turn cd to re-use.
Note: Adds 30% of strength attribute to another physical attack if used in combination, but can only augment three attacks per usage.
Note: Can take on and heal from techniques of lower rank able to take the damage stopping it from harming the user at all.
Note: Can take on B rank damage halving the damage the user takes due to the blockage however the armor will be destroyed.

Description: This ability is based on changing Beast Boy's attributes by changing his muscle, bone, nerve or body structure beyond what can be done with the Core Ability. In essence the user is changing their bodily (muscle, nerve, bone, brain tissue, etc) structures to that of animals found in nature gaining strength, speed, durability or intelligence (can only take 2 at a time one gains +15 the other gains +10.) The user tends to stay in his human form when using this lesser version of the transformation and there are very little aesthetic differences. These lesser alterations such as advanced muscle mass or nerve structure can be held indefinitely, until the user transforms into something other than his human form. Beyond increasing two traits Beast Boy can further manipulate his bodily structure focusing on a single trait putting all that focus into one boost gaining strength, speed or durability by +20. This negates the +15 and +10 from the smaller variation. However, due to the nature of how the buffs work he must sacrifice something. For example if the user wants the +20 to strength he would need to take on a much bulkier muscle structure meaning speed would suffer -5. If for example he wanted +20 to speed he'd have to lose -5 from strength because his muscle structure would have to compensate. Likewise, to increase durability, one loses speed, and to increase intelligence one loses durability. This is to make up for the additional attributes placed into a new category to gain a boost this large one must lose something of equal value through transformation.

This allows him to like an Electric Eel produce a decent amount of electricity, though creating a significantly less amount of volts found in a commercial stun gun or a set of defibrillation paddles when he attacks. This is enough to hinder an opponent momentarily and cause localized numbness throughout the opponent's point of contact for 1 turn. These organs can remain dormant until usage and while they are in Beast Boy's body though they can't defuse any incoming electrical charges of the same rank and above. Before the moment of impact Beast Boy also increases his muscle mass momentarily heightening the strength based force behind the blow.

This is enough to paralyze an opponent for a single turn and cause numbness throughout the opponent's body. After the paralysis wears off the opponent's muscle's still experience pain and stiffness that lasts the following turn and is a -5 to speed for the opponent during that time the numbness by this time would have faded which is why the opponent feels the pain and stiffness after the fact. These organs can remain dormant until usage and while they are in Beast Boy's body and they can defuse a single C rank or below electrical charge. However if used in this way the organs become inactive and the technique must be posted again to use them. Before the moment of impact Beast Boy also increases his muscle mass momentarily heightening the strength based force behind the blow. The user can also release the electricity in a pulse instead of in tandem with an attack. This sort of usage will reach to mid range but only do 20% of the user's Energy Attribute.

Description: A culmination of all of Beast Boy's martial arts prowess mixed with his own transformation abilities. Drunken Monkey is one of Beast Boy's main offensive means of attacking and he tends to substitute it for basic attacks. The style itself tends to be hard to predict and counter due to the erratic nature and behavior of the user who either plays the part of drunkard or actually becomes intoxicated to fight in a wild and unpredictable manner. Due to his transformations his skills and strength in this style are miles beyond anyone who uses similar styles because he has an intuitive understand of the Monkey and it's movements. He also has the ability to through his transformations augment the style by changing his center of gravity, moving his weight around in a more literal way and increasing and decreasing his muscle mass at crucial points of contact.

The form is short and simple, consisting of a few dozen or so movements. Much of the moves are performed at a low ground level, with rolling, tumbling and falling techniques. There are also many unusual grappling and blocking techniques. The higher level attacks include eye pokes and throat hits, as well as blocks and punches (with punching being exceptional, as monkeys generally do not attack with their fists.) There are also many middle attacks such as kicks aimed to the stomach area, and lower attacks to the lower abdomen, groin and legs.

The "Monkey-Hands" Technique: Relaxed hand strikes with the palm facing downward and fingers drooping towards the ground, used to deflect hand strikes and kicks, and also to strike with the fingers towards the throat and eyes.
The "Monkey-Claws" Technique: This attack is basically a strike with the palm facing forward and hitting with the fingers and striking downward, like any animal's clawing motion. It is used to hit the face and eyes, and can also be used to grapple the opponent's wrist.
Low Kicks and Ground Kicks: There are many kicks in Drunken Monkey, primarily aimed at the lower portions of the body (legs, groin, abdomen) and executed from a low position or from lying on the ground.
Beast Boy does not require intoxication to use this style, but he prefers it. This form of fighting can also be used for evasion within reason just as free form can be. Beast Boy is able to apply the teachings and styles to any form he enters through transformation.
Note: Augmentation of muscles increase strength, speed and durability +5 each if wanted
Note: The user will need to post the technique but it works like free form dealing 60% of the speed or strength attribute. If multiple attacks are sourced from a single use the damage is split evenly among the numerous attacks. The technique can also be used multiple times in a single turn to attack several different ways.

Description: Beast Boy or another shapeshifter augments their senses allowing for varying applications such as infrared sensing, night vision, ultraviolet sight, electromagnetic sensing, heightened sound perception, heightened or dulled sense of touch and pain, echo location and an increase in the sense of smell. He does this by augmenting the sensory organ related to that sense or creating a new organ to gain the sense putting it into his own body.

Any of the sight based sense augmentations allow the user to boost their eyesight to 20/5, meaning that what a normal person would need to be five feet away to see someone under the influence of this technique can see from twenty feet away meaning their sight is four times better. Heightened sound perception allows the user to hear whispers from roughly 30 meters away. Electromagnetic sensing allows the user to sense out various animals and people, and even sources of electricity. These abilities can be used by Beast Boy or any Shapeshifter he teaches how to do so. If desired the sense can boost the users intelligence by 10.
Note: Augmenting a sense is a passive action, unless the user wants to boost their intel with it
