You're my antithesis, then. It was only after I stopped being an atheist that I started to value things more. I became more open-minded to new things f.e religion. Finding faith was the best thing that happened to me.

Anyway, I think that pride isn't a good feeling, because for pride a person is willing to put another person down, for pride, a person is willing to kill another person.

Near a place where I lived, in northern Italy, there is a mass grave where atheist communist partisans slaughtered hundreds of catholic partisans because of their religion. But I don't go around pointing my finger on atheism because of that, I'm smart enough to understand that atheism is just a justification for their bloodlust here, as well as Christianity for inquisition, crusades ecc..

The idea is that any totalitarian philosophy is wrong and justifies violence be it absolute communism, absolute religious bigotry(common in the Muslim world) , or absolute racism in the case of the Nazis. And the best way to do away with oppressive creeds is by rejecting them and their exploitative ways.

Historians dispute greatly whether or not he was, more are inclined to think he wasn't. For instance, he directly referenced the deity and the 'allmighty' in his book, mein Kampf.
Ideological absolutism is a vice, it is being imposed by many ideologies, around the world and more often than not its done by the religious.
Nobody is advocating an enforcement of atheism at the state level, but neither should the state officially support the enforcement of any given creed.

You wanna know one of the biggest causes of violence? The cult of personality, and the ability to influence people. Hitler was one hell of a speaker, just look at his speeches in giant rallies before the war. Throughout history far right extremist ideologies have used the cult of personality to enable and enfirce their barbaric dictates on a brain washed people.

Having said that, it doesn't help when there is widespread acceptance of a right wing ideology within a population, with any criticism of said ideology deemed 'blasphemous'
. Its like a giant powder keg waiting for a flame to set it alight.
