Same but i still pretened to be religious so i can keep living with my parents under their roof
Congratulation.
If I may ask, what did you put "work" in that you felt so proud?
Anyway, I think that pride isn't a good feeling, because for pride a person is willing to put another person down, for pride, a person is willing to kill another person.
'A person is willing to kill another person'. For pride.
Or for religion.
Don't blame religion if stupid people use to justify their violence with it.
Maybe. But as many , if not more people have been killed because of religion as have been killed because of pride.
Also, deeply religious people also enjoy 'putting down' other people who's behaviour they deem as contradictory to their faith.(responding to that guy)
@Deadlift...Religion is what makes them think that way anyway.
Also, many religious people have been killed by atheists because of their faith (Remember URSS, Mao's China or even Nazi Germany). Near a place where I lived, in northern Italy, there is a mass grave where atheist communist partisans slaughtered hundreds of catholic partisans because of their religion. But I don't go around pointing my finger on atheism because of that, I'm smart enough to understand that atheism is just a justification for their bloodlust here, as well as Christianity for inquisition, crusades ecc..
The butthurtness is strong in this one
Hitler and the Nazis weren't Atheists, they were Christian (extremist Christians)
Hitler was not an atheist, German soldiers had 'in god we trust' or words to that effect on their shoulders. Also, many religious people have been killed by atheists because of their faith (Remember URSS, Mao's China or even Nazi Germany). I can assure you that there are many more people who do good because of religion. But of course the are only intelligent, open minded and good atheists and medieval and bigot religious people
A negrep already? ._. You just proved me right right off the bat
It wasn't a threat. read![]()

Stalins USSR was atheistic but their communistic totalitarianism was the cause of their violence. The idea is that any totalitarian philosophy is wrong and justifies violence be it absolute communism, absolute religious bigotry(common in the Muslim world) , or absolute racism in the case of the Nazis. And the best way to do away with oppressive creeds is by rejecting them and their exploitative ways.
Historians dispute greatly whether or not he was, more are inclined to think he wasn't. For instance, he directly referenced the deity and the 'allmighty' in his book, mein Kampf.True that Hitler wasn't atheist (or, at least, the character he played wasn't), but he also removed all the crosses in school and public offices, replacing them with his own portraits.
I agree for the best part of your second sentence, but I would reject them only if in case of ideological absolutism, because if you regardless ban all religions or ideologies, you will turn into an absolutist yourself
