[Discussion] Misunderstanding about 'Pirate King'

Do we not leave plot out of manga discussions anymore? I'll make a Luffy vs Akainu, BB, Dragon, and Sengoku thread. I expect to see all of you say Luffy wins because of plot and shonen and main character must win.

Sighing deeply doesnt make you correct or convince me in any way I am wrong. Like arv said this is shonen, by the end of the series when luffy has what it takes to be PK, he will beat all of those people. In fact, considering that oda said akainu is so strong he could become find OP in a year if he was the protagonist, that directly infers that PK is strength based is some manner.

Switch Luffy with Akainu, and he'll have the strength AND crew to get pass the yonkou and find Raftel. If Akainu was by himself, he'd still fail to find OP mostly because he doesn't the skills to find it.

Oda said if akainu was the protagonist, it doesnt specify if he had a crew or not, and if he did, it would be luffys crew and they arent really of much help just yet to find it within a year when oda made this statement. And even so isnt the captain of the crew the strongest... Like I said before you cant be pk without help but... there are those who have the strength but lack the crew, all i am saying is that the strength of the pirate king is above the yonko and others can have it too.

You are entirely missing my point. Of course luffy loses, and of course a crew is needed but there is also some level of individual strength because it is shonenen we will never see all of marineford vs kaido alone for instance they have defeated kaido before but to say that was without strong individual fighters would be silly. No one is going to gather a super massive army and fight one person. Luffy army will hold back kaidos underlings while luffy takes on kaido. Luffy also plans to take on all the other yonko too, I don't think any army in the world that didn't have someone stronger than the yonko could actually hope to beat all 4 yonko. The loses after each fight would be to great.

It's funny because you keep mentioning the gathering up an enormous crew of weaker fighters and thinking they will take one piece, but the war at eos is going to be exactly that, the marines vs pirates and whatever other faction, who do you think will keep one piece or get it after the war?

I keep telling you that I don't think an individual can get one piece but you also keep ignoring the fact that any crew gathered must have a fighter capable of defeating the yonko and admirals because they have an army of underlings too, so in the end it will be underlings vs inderlings and captains vs captains it will never be 1 million people vs luffy

You don't have to defend the title though. It's not about being strongest or anything like that. The PK of this era will be the one to find One Piece. You can't defend your status as the dude who found One Piece ten years later after finding One Piece.

You are the one making the claim, it is up to you to prove it, whereas we have two cases in which the PK will be a very strong individual fighter, Roger and then Luffy. So far the evidence stands in our favor.

Not a counterargument, when you ask somebody for proof as to what they claim. A judge asking the defendant for proof isn't the judge making a counterargument , but simply asking for proof to his/her claim.

But now you are claiming, that you can become PK with luffy's pre-TS strength by simply having a huge army.

That is not how this works actually. The evidence that stands supports us, therefore our claim should be taken to be the most proven. Now you have to provide evidence to disprove us by proving you correct, but there isn't any way you can.

You don't have to be the strongest true...but fighting all the enemies off wanting to prevent you from having one piece would certainly make you 'one' of the strongest.

And going to Raftel, would also mean messing with the Yonko, who would be threatened by you becoming PK, so you will face them automatically. And if you happen to run into a yonko, on one of the islands that you have to stay on for the log pose.. then what would you do?

And Yonko aren't the only enemy in trying to reach Raftel, you also have the admirals who will try to stop you from reaching Raftel since it will trigger the biggest war of them all. So you will need to be stronger than them as well.


Riker and Vandriech like to use Buggy (someone who doesn't stand a chance against any of the Yonko Armies or against any of the Admirals and their armies), as an example. But what they fail to realize is, gaining fame and building a strong military as a weakling, and that leading you to become a warlord, is different from becoming the PK.

And on top of all that, we still don't know the big reason, why people haven't been able to reach Raftel except for Roger.

yea the chances are extremely slim, i agree with what ur saying its almost impossible to do it without being strong. at the very least even with luck the person gotta be like jack doffy or someone who is somewhat of a serious threat and this is by being very lucky even with a strong crew or through alliances and backstabs etc.
